No. The rattles when understeering are not normal imo. Way too strong and noisy. There s something wrong.

Have anyone found the right settings to get rid of the awful shaking while understeering?
In one way it helps to find the limit ..but it is not very realistic..that should be modified by Polyphony Digital…

And it’s something similar to what Ive felt in more than a few cars in real life when sliding the front tires hard in understeer on real racetracks. So calling it entirely unrealistic is wrong. They have been added intentionally for understeer.
Yes, if you are using a Fanatec DD Pro or a Fanatec DD+, there is a way to tone that specific Effect down and make it more blend in and balance it.Have anyone found the right settings to get rid of the awful shaking while understeering?
What other effects does that impact, though?Yes, if you are using a Fanatec DD Pro or a Fanatec DD+, there is a way to tone that specific Effect down and make it more blend in and balance it.
Simply turn the FEI down from 100 to your desired level until it feels pleasant to you.
Keep in mind though that in that case, you should also lower the INT Setting.
So yes on Fanatec Direct Drive Wheelbases, it's the FEI setting.
And the judder will diminish and feel way more nuanced.
Weight transfer as well as suspension dynamics are not affected by tweaking the FEI Setting. What other effects does that impact, though?
If you understeer like crazy, but right at the limit of grip and sliding like an On/Off switch? No. But maybe we don't experience the same rattling. And it’s something similar to what Ive felt in more than a few cars in real life when sliding the front tires hard in understeer on real racetracks. It doesn’t do that to me in GT7 unless it’s extreme understeer in the game, which is the fault of a driving mistake and going too deep into corners. If you understeer like crazy, but right at the limit of grip and sliding like an On/Off switch? No. But maybe we don't experience the same rattling.
Everyone should always mention what tyre and car combo they are using; i mean in GT Sport i remember comparing my steering inputs with a Top 10 driver who probably used T-GT... Track was Redbull Ring Short (wet) and i couldn't steer more than 45-90° without the rattle, whereas the other guy steered almost 180° seemingly without having the rattle. Good point. I rarely run on anything but racing tires unless it’s an event that doesn’t allow it, like the weekly or Sport mode lap time challenges. Left to my own devices, I mostly drive race cars in this game, let alone ever run on comfort road tires. I have that wheel. It's better than the previous V1. Mostly because it's 1 pound lighter, the electronics were updated, and the latest accessory magnetic shifters can be attached. I had the original V1 and loved it. When the funky switch finally stopped working after 10 years, I updated to the V2 and love it even more. I added the Podium Advanced Paddle Module to it which gives me more button options. It's the only wheel I use for GT7 and ACC. I wouldn't mind picking up a second round wheel, but the one I want has a firmware bug that's not expected to be addressed until perhaps mid-year according the the FANATEC forum. Just know, if you go with the BMW GT wheel, you should use gloves. I use gloves, and even so, the Suede does look a little matted, but I'm OK with that.Hello Guys
So unfortunately my newly acquired Fanatec P1v2 developed a Crack.
I had to duck tape it to prevent it from tearing apart completely.
Question.
I want to get me this one here
Unfortunately it's sold out.ClubSport Lenkrad BMW M3 GT2 V2

No information to be found if or when it's going to be available if so at all.
Does anyone have any insight?
@super_gt maybe
Any info is highly appreciated and welcome.
Enjoy your weekend Guys.

Glad you pulled the trigger. =) I really love my BMW GT wheel. Back in the day, when I had the V1 version coupled with the Clubsport Belt Drive base CSW V2.0, the wheel was a bit too heavy for the Nm output of that base back then. Fast forward to today, the V2 being lighter, the DD+ having 15Nm of power, makes that wheel feel great! I also have the Formula wheel V 2.2, which I love too, but I only use it for the times I mess around with the F1 games or the Formula cars in GT7. I have an itch to pick up a second round wheel like the Podium Porsche, but until they fix the button module bug, it's a paper weight.Hey man,
Wow that sounds pretty damn good.
And guess what that EXACT combo is already on its way to me 😅
Two days ago I got in touch with a dude who had that exact Wheel/QR2 Metal / Advanced Paddle Module on offer.
Long story short, I carpe diemd it and pulled the trigger.
Couldn't wait any longer as driving Road cars with the McLaren GT3 felt a bit... Off?! After having used my P1v2 for a few days, before it developed a crack on the backside where 1 of the bolts became loose and made the plastic housing crack.
Despite being limited to low Torque mode with the P1v2 and having settled with 7/9 for in game Values and 100% Wheelbase wise it apparently couldn't handle some the accumulated forces.
Though, I'm not quite sure if it might have happened whilst playing Motorfest though.
I used to practice drifting with the Dodge Demon which I fiddled with them Suspension and Tuning options to make the car behave like a proper Togue Monster.
And to be clear, the forces felt way over the top compared to GT7, despite under normal realistic driving across the countryside the FFB felt spot on.
But the drifting was well, let me put it that way... A proper workout 😅
Anyway my new Combo should be here in 1 or 2 days so I'll happily report back if you like to.
Thanks again on your motivating information and stay safe. 😁
