Fantasy WRC Rally 2005

Anyone interested in doing this. It will be a forum only thing, and just for fun.
If a moderator could keep track of the points its really fun. These are the rules.
If anyone is interested just post.

1) You pick all eight points scoring positions based upon how you think the final event standings will turn out.

2) Each finishing position you guess correctly is worth 8 points; therefore, each rally is worth a maximum of 64 points.

3) Each team you select that finishes in the points BUT NOT in the exact position you guessed is worth a reduced amount of points. Point reductions are 1 point off for every position difference, up OR down, between your selection and the actual result.

4) Like last season, there will be 15 point bonuses for choosing the final manufacturer and driver champions. Bonus selections will be made along with the first rally selections.

Solberg had a brake problem in SS1 so it put him back. They also said he went with a softer tire than he should of, and thats hurting him.

Speed's new broadcast times really stink. The first broadcast is at 8pm, which I miss in it's entirety due to my work schedule, and I don't want to be up until 2am or so for the 2nd broadcast.

I'll join in on this BlueRex. On the Monte it was really nice to see Panizzi and Mitsubishi getting back into points scoring positions and really great to see Gardemeister finally living up to expectations now that he has a good car to work with.

My Predictions for rally Sweden:

Just out of interest, how will you score this? Give each person points based on where their predictions finish? For instance if Loeb does win Sweden do I get 10 fantasy points but if Grunholm wins do I get nothing for predicting the wrong position? i think that makes sense (to me at least) .

This is sometimes confusing, sorry......

OK if the winner of the rally is Loeb and you pick loeb as the first spot you get 8 pts.

now if Loeb is the winner and you pick him as the third you only get 6pts. because you where two positions off so you subtract 2 points from 8 and that gives you 6pts.
now if Loeb wins and you pick him to finish in the 8th spot you get 1 pt because you where 7 postions off on your pick.

If Loeb wins and you don't have him on your list you get nothing. And if he's first on your list and he DNF's you get nothing. Understand? it is kinda confusing.

I will keep track of the scores and you guys will have no problem catching up. It only takes a couple DNF's to mess your pts up. Like Solbergs DNF in the last one got both of us. But on thing i ask is that i will make a new thread for each rally. Please post your pics for that rally in that thread (just copy/paste if you have already posted). Thanks and good luck! 👍
