Swapping Perez for Verstappen please.

Two reasons for this, having Verstappen is obvious for points but if this backfires & incorporates any form of bad luck then Perez might win the championship :)

Watching practice 1 it looks like my bad luck has already started

Edit: you watch my drivers take each other out tomorrow.

Oh arseblasts. Monaco was so dull I forgot it happened.

If anyone needs to make a swap for this weekend, I'll take substitutions up to one hour before qualifying (1300 UTC on Saturday).

Oh, latest points. Haven't recalculated the tokens yet but it's not hugely relevant right now (just as the error in the spreadsheet with Renault engines wasn't  )

1 - @Jordan - 348.5
1 - @Touring Mars - 348.5
3 - @Jimlaad43 - 338.5
4 - @Mr Grumpy - 330.5

Top Monaco points scorer was @MagpieRacer, with @XJ40 second as the only two players in the 60s

It's been a while since this thread has been updated, but I figured I'd revive it with an absolute powermove (I hope 😂)

@Famine
Engine swap from Honda/RBPT to Mercedes
Chassis swap from Aston Martin to McLaren
This grants me 2 extra tokens, which I use for a driver swap from Stroll to Verstappen

That concludes my swaps for the year, and leaves me with the following team for the rest of the year:
D1: Alonso
D2: Verstappen
Engine: Mercedes
Chassis: McLaren

I think this move is legal like this, but please let me know if it isn't

Yeah, busy June (and July). I've been tracking points still, but not had time to update the thread.

Can't wait to see how many people are going to swap IN De Vries now :D

Whoever replaces him (has Ricciardo been confirmed yet? Edit: yes he has been) will still be driving the useless box that is the Alpha Tauri car, so would it even be worth it?

Okay. So... we actually have a new leader as a result of Silverstone and, remarkably, he hasn't actually topped the points scoring in any round... Give it up for @Mr Grumpy!

1 - @Mr Grumpy - 652.5pt
2 - @Jordan - 648.5pt
2 - @Touring Mars - 648.5pt
4 - @Jimlaad43 - 638.5pt
5 - @Shaun - 626pt
6 - @Pupik - 622.5pt
7 - @MagpieRacer - 583.5pt
8 - @Miodrag - 581.5pt
9 - @kaori - 573.5pt
10 - @-Fred- - 570.5pt
11 - @Fezzik - 569.5pt
12 - @noshog - 566.5pt
13 - @Roo - 565.5pt
13 - @zjn - 565.5pt
15 - @ROAD_DOGG33J - 549.5pt
16 - @coyb20 - 545pt
17 - @DG_Silva - 542.5pt
18 - @Nuschel01 - 538pt
19 - @deviln3 - 526.5pt
20 - @Famine - 513.5pt
21 - @PaMu1337 - 487.5pt
22 - @lilcat89 - 473.5pt
23 - @XJ40 - 467.5pt

Mr Grumpy seems to have benefitted from not having Stroll as driver #2, which everyone else in the top five does... although one other top five player has swapped Stroll out ahead of Hungary. Nonetheless, it was a prescient choice after some uncharacteristic early season form for the Canadian talent vacuum

@lilcat69 won Silverstone with 76.5pt becoming the third player to both win and finish last in rounds this year (alongside @deviln3, who did it back-to-back, and @Fezzik) having previously finished last twice!

We had a seven-way tie for the win in Austria, due to the combination of Red Bull/Mercedes/Alonso/Stroll; however one of those teams has now swapped to break that deadlock...

@PaMu1337 is the first player to completely swap his entire team out, ahead of Hungary and just before half distance...

I'll run off component scores and current token scores shortly; bear in mind there'll be a token value change this coming Wednesday, so if you have any swaps you'll need to do them between the race finish and noon on Wednesday if you think your team's value will fall, but between noon on Wednesday and one hour before FP1 at Spa if you think it will increase.

@PaMu1337 won Silverstone with 77.5pt - one point ahead of @lilcat89 - becoming the third player to both win and finish last in rounds this year (alongside @deviln3, who did it back-to-back, and @Fezzik. That came courtesy of changes that means he's become the first player to completely swap his entire team out, just before half distance...
Gonna go for fair play here and tell you that I did my team swap after Silverstone

Oof, did not expect to drop over 30 points from that 😅 Should have kept my mouth shut 😄
Ah well, I think I have an insanely strong team now, so I should catch back up soon

It’s time to go a bit papaya. I think these moves are ok within the token rules, but @Famine let me know if not:

Driver swap (2nd/final) of year: Stroll out, Norris in

Chassis swap: Ferrari out, McLaren in

That should leave me as Mercedes engine, McLaren chassis, Alonso/Norris - with one final swap possible for the engine.

Gonna make some changes ahead of the second half please @Famine

Driver: Alonso out, Norris in.
Chassis: Alpine out, McLaren in.

I would like to swap Stroll for Norris.

It was a tough choice, but I'm hoping Red Bull does well in the 2nd half (mainly for this league).

I know I am really late to the party, but I would really like to join anyways. Is that fine with everyone?

If yes, then I would like to submit the following lineup:
D1: Alonso (4 Tokens)
D2: Piastri (2)
Engine: Mercedes (4)
Chassis: McLaren (3)

As a service to the community here are my calculations for the current points after today's race at Hungaroring:

I double checked my calculations with the published points after the Saudi as well as the Silverstone Grand Prix. They match. However I found a discrepancy for the Renault engine after Silverstone. Famine calculated their score as 91 points. I came up with 94.5 points (same as now after their double dud in Hungary). I believe the 94.5 to be correct simply because it is half of the combined score of Gasly (100) and Ocon (89) which is what you would expect for an engine that is used by only 2 drivers.

I would be happy to publish the score here in this thread after every race if there is interest in this. I guess that Famine would still keep the official score himself, however he would not have to spend time to draft the post. Unlike him I do not have a website to run.

I will look into a way to automate the score keeping of this Fantasy League as well as top (legal) fantasy combos of the weekend in the coming days.

For Hungary I believe that the optimal selection for 13 tokens was
Norris
Piastri
Red Bull chassis
Ferrari engine
for 73.5 points, closely followed by

Norris
Albon
Red Bull chassis
Mercedes engine
for 72 points.

Best regards,
Wilsonson

I'd like to make the following swaps please:

Aston Martin to McLaren -1
de Vries to Piastri +1
Mercedes to RBPT +1

I've only used 12 points, with the increase in value for Aston and Merc, I've saved one point going for McLaren, one point for the upgrade to Piastri and 1 point to upgrade to RBPT, so this should be correct.

I won a race ?! When did that happen ?

The finishing last, that was entirely expected.

Balls, I forgot it was Wednesday. Any team changes made up until 2359 UTC on Thursday July 27 will be honoured as old token values (which I'll post at the same time... ish), with changes made between then and 1100 UTC on Friday July 28 as new values.

Current scoring is...

New leader - thanks to that Stroll-Piastri swap - and only the second solo leader we've had so far as, up until that change, @Touring Mars had been locked together with the identical team of @Jordan!

@Pupik won Hungary, for his second round win to date...

Can I swap out Stroll for Piastri please if it's not too late?
It's not; you still have about 11hr to the race cutoff, but it's a more costly swap now :(
