For Fan-Freekin-Tastic, specially with Fanatec.

Just did my first world tour and just as I thought, give me a better track (hate Alps) and a customized car paint/tune, and BAM...its all gravy.

Love the new layout...different but familiar.

Love the cars, especially the American Muscle Pack.

Music, horrible. I turned it all off.

New vinyl shapes are awesome.

My import of designs was easy, and already sold some!

Graphics very pretty.

Physics, seem to be leaps and bounds ahead of FM3 as far as FWD and RWD cars. They actually handle well if you treat them right.

Ok...going back to playing. Just thought I would drop a quick impression.

And Nah, Nah, Nah, to all the folks that are at work/school, or dont have the game yet:sly:. Ok j/k.

Agree, though you did have me fooled with the title, I was going to come in here internet swingin'.

Physics were my biggest concern and so far (B class and below so far) they seem A LOT better than FM3.

One aspect that has me caught off guard in a good way is the Playercard, I know many games do this, but mostly FPS, it gives the game more depth!

Gonna wait for first sale of this. Not worth $60 and only getting a partial game seeing XBL is a poor value for me and. I was robed of some content because I would miss a free XBLive weekend to get the gifts.

The M5 is free and that has the muscle car pack with it (not unlocked though) and there is also the launch bonus cars that are free. Free dashboard theme etc etc.

You don't need to have Live Gold to download the DLC...

Why does this need to be said hundreds of times?

I don't recall ever mentioning DLC. I'm talking about non multiplayer online features like auction house and liveries etc. You know, non multiplayer features that I paid for but can not use. Can not receive Gift cars from others or Turn 10 gift cars. Can't use unless its a free XBL weekend like you clearly missed the first time I posted but choose to "rage reply" before reading it completely. None of that in evolves DLC.....

But thanks for trying ;)

I just traded in a bunch of old games to Game Stop that have collected dust and got FM4 for almost nothing. Loading it up now.

Nice quick review! I also was shocked to see that "F." Glad you are enjoying it. :-)

I'm not going to lie, when you said you're going to miss out on content I assumed you meant DLC as it is usually just referred to as content and many people "from the other camp" so to speak keep saying crap about DLC and Gold and paying etc etc.

My apologies.

While the physics is better especially the feel & sound of tire grip. The downside for me it's seem a lot easier to beat the AI. AI "feels" about as slow as GT5 AI (maybe not that slow yet it sometimes feels that way compared to PC sims I've been playing lately).

When I saw the = F I was about to go check my bank account and see how much I could start to invest in iRacing. After GT5, FM4 is the only think that can help me drive crazy speeds and not end up in jail.

That world tour A.I or eventlist A.I?

World Tour "automatically adjusts" to your skill. i.e it's probably garbage until you won a couple hundred races.

I know World Tour start out slow but I found I have no problem beating the AI on Professional difficulty in Quick race. I get a little more challenge in R1/R2 class since there less room for error.

My early first impression...

I just did a quick free race in the Aston Martin Muscle Milk car on Road Atlanta. This car sounds incredible cranked up! I absolutely love it, and also this track is really sweet. My first impression of the game is pretty great (and I'm a diehard GT5 guy).

Way to go Turn 10!

I felt gypped with the Gold-only features in FM3 having come from FM2, where most of those features were free. This time I knew what to expect and ponied up for the Gold account though. I'd already spent quite a bit of dough buying a console, wheel and game on a rival console so it's only fair I give this game a similar fighting chance to impress me.

Forza is the Only 360 game I play so its a poor value as I'm not a big online gamer. Would rather spend $60 on PS3 game than on a year of XBL just so I can use the non multiplayer online part.

In World tour, I completed the Expert Season and I can tell you that unless you are perfect and don't miss any apex, you will start to get into trouble. They will rear end you if you are too slow or they will go out of their way to block you if you try to pass them. Of course, it all depends which car you drive. I found out the 70 boss 302 is stupid fast. So for track with long straight away, that's the car you want. If there is lots of a twist and turn, you want a Lotus.
