Fastest car in GT2

i've gotten 640ish MPH with:

[R]Suzuki Escudo
[R]Calsonic Skyline GT-R
[R]Supra RZ

well of course they then flew!! at first the front started to lift off the ground at 240ish mph then after 260 mph, the whole front lifted up and the speed climbed faster then you would think. Finally the car is revved up at the revv limiter and the speed is going back and forth from 580ish to 640ish mph!!!!

The fastest car in GT2 is the Toyota GT-One by far. it is the ultimate racing machine!!! The Suzuki Escudeo is fast but not as fast as the GT-One!!    :argue: :glasses: :USA: :USA:

fast? in a straight line? in the turns?

hum..............on the straight? yes GT1 Road Car
in the turns? Suzuki Escudo Pike's Peak Version & GT1 Road Car

fast in small turns like Motor sports land? Impreza WRX STi Ver. VI, Lancer EVO's, Audi S4, Skyline, some other AWD cars.

this is just my opinion!!!!!!! :D

Yep the Toyota GT1 is probably the fastest. If you don't have $1,000,000 a good second choice is the Vector M12. Best car for $192,000.

The only cars that I can't beat with the M12 are the race cars.

Either the GT1, or the Speed 12... A fully modded speed 12 with the right settings can do massive speed, I have 285 as the high speed on mine, with the GT1 at 279.

 What are you all like. i know that the GT1 doesnt handle to well on tight turns but on apricot hill its rules. i got mine to go 421 kph but that was on the test course

My top speeds in regular GT2 cars:
254mph Drag GT-R
263mph Drag 180SX
265mph Escudo
274mph GT-One

Hybrids:
390mph in a Pleo with 3300hp on Test Course
510mph breaking out of High Speed Ring
542mph in a Pennzoil GT-R with 5200hp at Test Course.

My escudo can go 292.35 mph (mile per hour not kilometer)
and can go more.. but I dont like escudo..
my Speed 12 can go to 280 and has good handling too..

Is everybody in these forums alike? Everyone loves the GT1 and thinks the Escudo is nothing compared to it. :shakehead

I drilled the GT1 in the Gran Turismo World Cup with my Escudo. :P It had to have been at least a quarter-lap behind me. The Escudo doesn't have the greatest turning, but if you brake hard before the corner you can get 'round it with ease.

The Speed 12 also gives the GT1 a run for its money, if you can handle the evil thing. 😈

If I remember correctly, you have to set the ride height at the front to lowest and the back to highest. Or the other way around. :D If that doesn't work, I think you have to make your springs very stiff front and back. If I doesn't work, just search the net. It'll be easy to find. :)

Another thing; it is very hard to ride while your in a wheelie. You can only to it on the Test Track as well I think. Unless you get outside of some other tracks, like Laguna Seca. Don't know how to get outside though. :(

ARGGGHHH IM surounded by XBOX fans!!

anyway..the fastest car in GT2 is the escudo if u change the acceleration to speed.

GT3 is better though...LONG LIVE GT2!!!

281.25 with the Drag 180SX.
Drafting added 20mph.
It's like watching a movie on fast forward >>

I tried Escudo in the IA license test. It's really fast and the handling is good. I haven't got the money to buy it yet. But i bet it isn't the fastest car in GT2. Now i'm looking for a new, powerful car to win at the All Stars Races in Red Rock Valley.

Get the Escudo. It'll win easily plus you can easily win the Gran Turismo World Championship against the best like the Alfa 155 Touring Car, Toyota GT1, etc. They're all still running when you cross the line. You can easily win the free horspewer endurance races and other free horespower races as well. Despite it's uglyness :yuck: it's the best car in GT2. The Speed 12 is only a few k's off, so that's the second best. ;)

1. Escudo
If you do the right setting is easy to turn..
I put the intial in 16 front and back, intial accelaration in 56 both front and back, and intial decelaration in 10 front and back.. and easy to turn.. u should try it!
2. Speed 12
This car is my favorite car.. is second fastest car in GT 2 after escudo..
3. 180 sx
4. Toyota GT one
5. R390 nissan

Bugger! If I would've done that to my Escudo earlier I could have lapped them in the Endurance races by another few laps or so. :D

The escudo I hate it to death, but I have to admit it out performs every other car in GT2 with ease.

Buy this car, equip super soft raceing slicks. Now pick any track you wish, go to settings: spring rate adjust down 20 clicks from default.
ride hight 2 clicks up from minimum.
dampers front and rear down 2 clicks from default
brakes front and rear between 19 & 22
down force front and rear up 20 clicks from default
and for the gearbox adjust auto setup so that 6th gear red lines at the end of the longest stait section of that track.

Basicly the escudo can be adjusted to out corner, out accelerate, highest top speed, and out brake any car in the game.

I don't muck around with settings too much. Couldn't be bothered and anyway, there's this big list on my PC with like nearly all the cars in GT2 and the best settings for them (according to the person who wrote it).

Here it is; it's a zipped file so you'll probably need WinZip or something to unzip it.
