The Alfa Romeo 156 GTA has a top speed of 250kmh, and I cannot remember the model but so does one of the Volvos, V70 or S80 model.
Its likely one model (Viggen?) from the new SAAB 93 will be up there as well if it remains fwd and not 4wd.

The S80 T6 goes well over 250KM/H when you take the governor out, same goes for most of Volvo's T engines.

The Viggen is more likely to be remembered as handing out the worst wrist injuries from all that torque steer.... Worse even than a used '79 Capri. Oh wait, that was a brakes problem....

As for the fastest FWD car, it's between the Neon SRT-4 and Focus RS. My guess is the SRT-4. As for which is the best [stock] FWD car ever? VW Golf GTi Mk1 (1978-80). Period. Faster than the then-current Mini, and just as, if not more, feel and flickableness (love that word).

A stock Toyota Supra can do 178mph when the governors taken off. I saw a video of it. The amazing this, is that car only has 320hp. Alot of cars with way more hp cant go that fast.

Well, we have an Integra over here in NZ which does a 00:09.88 @ 236km/h (147mph).

The record secures the car a place in Australasian import drag racing history as the first front wheel drive car to cut a single digit pass.

And New Zealand also holds the Australasian record for the fastest four-wheel drive car. A 00:08.72 @ 254km/h (158mph). That record belongs to a 900hp+ R32 GT-R. :)

I so hope so. I need to believe in Ford again. The GT will be nice, and the Mustang could be okay, but Ford could really do something with the Focus. It already does well in WRC; how bad could an AWD-turbo street version be?

Just think of the Focus Rally car with a few more horses and good street driver that you can race:D.

Also Ferrari id coming out with the F60 soon (about a year or two)...

NO no no, not the Enzo, the F60 is different. Here is a pic of Ferrari testing it:

Michael Schumacher's next company car could be the new Ferrari F60, a prototype of which is shown here during high-speed testing on Ferrari's test track in Maranello. Planned for 2003 under the code name F140, it will be the successor of the sold out F50. It will be Ferrari's answer to both the Mercedes SLR and the Porsche GT.
The future top-of-the-line Ferrari will adapt numerous technical Formula 1 elements like the body's carbon-fiber material, aluminium chassis, and titanium. Power will come from a V-12 with an electro-hydraulic six-speed gearbox. Performance is rumoured to rate around 650 HP, acceleration 3.6 sec/100 km, with a price tag of about 1.0 million German marks (approximately $448,000).

Everyone know Ferrari's are expensive and they are for a reason. Good quality, fast, elegant, and bad ass styling :D. Even the tires are expensive. Ferrari had Goodyear to make special tires for the F50 to handle all the power and give it so much grip. Tires for an F50 are US$50,000 a peice!...

That looks very dated, especially the front. Reminds me of a few models from the late 80s and early-mid 90s. Its not like the F40 or F50 where they were distinctive, compared to the other models that were out at the time

Are you sure that figure isn't exaggerated just a little?

The cars costs 600,000 USD and 1/3 of that price is just for the tires? I don't buy it.

Early Oldsmobile Toronados are the most powerful stock FWD cars ever, afaik. something around 350hp out of their 455ci V8... maybe more than 350hp... they DEFINETLY have the most torque of any stock FWD ever.

not the fastest though, they are very big and VERY heavy.

whoops. i forgot about the 500CI Cadillac Eldorado FWD, 1967, 400hp/500+lbft. at least 400hp... maybe 500, i can't remember.

the toronado was in 66, and was the 1st powerful, large FWD.

No, the Caddi Eldorados only had 400 hp, not 500 (im pretty sure)
The most powerful fwd on the market at the moment is the Cadillac Seville with 305 hp. Bloody stupid IMO. Makers reckon its safer, but thats a load of ****. They just do it cos its cheaper.

The only good points for fwd that I can think of it is that it saves gas (so Ive read), it saves room but a lot of large fwd cars still have that large tunnel running down the middle of the interior and hand brake burnouts are good fun.

No I didnt exagerate. It's practically just for the rich and race teams. You cant just buy one by walking inot the Ferrari Dealer either. You have to own at least two other Ferrari's in order to get one. They didnt really want this to be a trailer queen. If you could afford the bloody car you probably have enough to buy the tires since you have to be rich to buy the car anyway.

Well they could be going after a 'Old Ferrari' look like how alot of companies are doing or it could be a disquise for it just in case someone is spying on them. Like how some manufacturer's will mask the car in tarps and fake body panels when the time comes for an actual road test...

This neither looks nor reads right. The picture looks 99% like a F355 (except for the tail), and all the specs match up with the Enzo anyway. Further, the "F60" name was passed around 18 months ago, in during Enzo development, but Ferrari changed the name. No mention of why, but the Enzo name stuck just the same. Where did this info come from, anyway?

And how many years ago did you read this? I glance over that site just about every day, and nothing like that has come up in the past 12 months.

I'm not saying what you posted is the Enzo. I'm saying that the Enzo was the "F60", and that the image you posted is...well, highly suspect.
