the quickest civic unibody: 93 civic hb w/GSR turbo - 1/4mile in 8.59 sec

the quickest FWD CAR: 8.57 secs - Stephen Papadakis '98 Civic

looks like honda civics are sittin pretty at the top of the charts, eh?

BTW, the fastest FF Civic is is only 189 MPH. Drag cars dont realy count...

Have you been snorting wasabi? The entire CAR isn't big enough to fit an 8 litre V10 in it, never mind the engine bay...

Lol.....Then it wasn't a dodge viper engine..And since it was FWD it had to be horizontally placed..meaning it was very small....Either had to be a 4 cyl or a V6....Nothing larger would fit..unless the wheels stuck out about 3 feet

BTW I'd like to add that the Hyundai Accent 1.3 GLXi - the world's fastest FF when dropped out of a plane - also has the best brakes. It will stop from 270mph in about 3 inches. Vertically, natch.

not all front wheel drive cars have a transverse engine.

66, 67, and 79-85 toronado, eldorado, and riviera's had longitudally mounted engines and transmissions, so do dodge LH cars, and the acura legend and vigor.

likewise, most V8 engined, FWD cars have transverse engines, and if you could fit a 4cyl or a V6 in one, a V8 would fit.

First we're speaking of a V10 engine..Second.....Maybe it'd work in some DODGE FWD Cars..but I doubt in a toyota..You see..I'm no Master of Machinery or anything..But I don't think they're the same....just a hunch...:D

BEHOLD, THE BEST FWD CAR TODAY...

that car sucks....Cable tranny..Lol and hell the first 8 months worth that came to the states ate their transmissions apart on their own...Hopefully they're fixed now...The only good thing on that car is the head

Pay attention, i'm not talking about some stupid viper engine. If anyone says they have a viper engine in anything they're most likely just an idiot.

You said 'nothing bigger than a 4 or 6 would fit', well, I think a V8 would fit in a FWD corolla no problem. It would need a lot of custom work because you'd have to use a GM engine, but say a northstar 4.6L DOHC would fit.

on the subject of corolla engine swaps, i saw an old RWD corolla liftback, i think it was a '77, it had a 350 V8 SBC swapped into it, actually, I think the guy swapped in the suspension from some other GM too, because the tires stuck out a good 4 inches, the tires themselves weren't very wide, maybe they were a lot wider than the little donuts that the corolla would have had stock though. cool car. it had oldsmobile rallye wheels too.

Yeah. It looks like the R32 GT-R

Actually whenever I look at the SE-R, the R32 comes into mind. And I've made up my mind. The SE-R is the car I'm gonna own once I get my driver's license

I can think of one problem right at the start. You're replacing a 1.6i 4-pot with a 4.6 V8... Just imagine the weight on that front axle... Will the rear wheels even touch the ground?

I think the SEr is a nice lookin car. It doesnt have the most amazing power stock, but its nice for what you pay, and of course, it can be modded.

The interior of the car would give you a head ache..The "10 inch subwoofer" that comes stock will blow out in a week...And they still look like crap..Lol..I remember when they first came out..Everyone and their momma had a Spec-V..but where did they all go?..in the junkyard.

Well I know the SRT4 is alot faster than that Nissan. Just got back from some racing at VIR with our car club. Visit the SRT4 thread at the Automotive News Forum for more on it...
