R32/34/35 just dominate but you get those free
WRX Road Car is very good hp/kg vs pp value
Road version of 650S is great
CTR3 is fun but relatively expensive
Suzuki Swift Sport Gr.4 is key for WTC700 races
Generally I'm more impressed by porches and bmws in this game than in previous games

Thanks for all the great reco's people!
Building up a nice stable of cars across all categories.
Any suggestions for a Grp 1 beast?
For Grp 2, I bought the Nismo '16 model. Based that on my fave Grp 2 from GTS. Did I make a mistake?

Keep the suggestions coming. Looking for purchases in the 800k - 1.4 Mil range....

I boguht the Lambo Murcielago (Used car) and also the Detomaso Mangusta (Legend).
Any thoughts/feedback on either of these vehicles? Bought 'em blind!

I second the 911 GT3 RS, awesome to drive straight out of the showroom with no mods. Great handling and very controllable, more than enough power, winding it out to 9000rpm never gets old. If the game is any indication of real life I can see why it consistently wins best drivers car comparisons year after year.

The ZL1 1LE is also a beast once you put Racing Hards on, otherwise it is an oversteer machine.

I haven't driven the Mangusta, nor bought it, but the Murcielago is a blast to drive. Sounds great too.

Lamborghini V12 VGT, Porsche VGT -- they are both extremely fun to drive, besides they can dominate European Championship.

If you got a Lambo V12 VGT and feel it's keeping spinning out, try tune its front/rear downforce to maximum.

I also got the Murcielago, super impressed with it after installing some lightweight, RS tyres, racing exhaust and full custom suspension..

The R32 tuned to 700+ is also a beast.

I was quite surprised with how well the Focus RS performed, especially in the 700+ range.

Recently got the Stratos for half a mil, even out of the box, it was fast. The grip is fine, though it tends to oversteer if you so much as touch the accelerator pedal, and has a tendency to lock-up when steering and braking (with ABS on). Aside from those downsides, it is a blast to drive around in.

2017 Nissan GT-R. Weight reduction stage 4 (1274kg), height adjustable sports suspension at 120/120, full forcedown F/R, both diffs at 55% accel, 40/60F/R. +900hp maxed. Fast as lightning, wins anything without pitstops included. Gearbox set to: 3.00/2.00/1.50/1.20/1.00/0.86 and 3.55 final.

So what does everyone think of the Vision GT cars? I've never really understood what the deal is with them anyway. Are they like fantasy upgraded versions of real cars? I've bought up most of the cheaper stuff that I want, but got a LOT of 1 Mil Vision cars not yet acquired. I have no interest in owning cars just for the sake of owning them. Only want what I will drive.

Anyone got the Maclaren P1 in GT7? Loved it in GTS. Worth buying in GT7?

Yes they are fictional cars made for the game by real manufacturers, and I personally love them :D

The Gr1 Hyundai VGT is a really nice entry car for Gr1 with its very high grip and decent speed for its class, if you want something reliable and stable, this one is one you can hardly go wrong with. though the Mazda VGT is similar I believe.. havent got this one yet but im going by my past experience in GTSport.

I hope to try the Alpine, Mazda and McLaren Gr1 VGTs eventually, having driven them in GT Sport in the past, and as for non Gr1 VGTs.. the Chaparral 2X VGT is also one i liked in Sport and has a unique propulsion system and driving feel unlike ANYTHING else in the game. I also enjoyed the Daihatsu and Honda VGTs for how they drove in Sport.

VGTs I didnt/dont like are the BMW VGT.. which was really stiff feeling last time I drove it in Sport.. understeery bugger. im also not a fan of how the Porsche VGT looks.. it looks a bit boring compared to other VGTs to me.

I do wish the Lambo V12 VGT got a Gr1 variant though :(

I didn't know about that AMG Black, so i bought one, took it out to World GT Series, very nice
Do you think you can screencap your tuning page? I'm having fun with this car in the Euro Cup but I think I'd fail miserably in the World GT Series.

I don't have any real special tune for it, i just maxed out HP and stage 4 weight reduction, then just dialed it back to get under 800 PP(799.97) for World GT Series,in GT Auto i use front end-type A and High rear wing.

Thanks loads, I think at a glance my wing might need to be turned up to Gr3 levels like yours is. I'm often a bit over cautious because of the mental trick the sliders play on me :).

Also, I only just notices the Vanishing Point reference. Great taste!

EDIT: This is really interesting. Mine has High RPM turbo and none of the permanent engine mods. It's now a big risk to follow your design because I'll never fit the turbo back on if I do.
Also interesting to me that they change the name to muffler from silencer depending on region.

I first tried the Mazda RX VGT last night, without any mods finished a couple of the WTC800 races with one pit stop and near a minute lead..

So to answer, i'm impressed. Surprised and impressed ☺

Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 Race Car 2010 is a beast!
The AMG / Mercedes Black is fantastic too (but add a bit of ballast to calm it down!)
The GTR Nismo '17 has won me most races.....
