Three Floyds is a small, regional Midwestern brewery that has quite a following, no longer a hush hush underground thing. One beer, "Dark Lord" is sold one day per year. Better get there early!!
I had the enormous privilege of drinking some BBA Dark Lord a few weeks ago. Magnificent beer.

My experience with “regular” Dark Lord has been that it needs a few years to cool off.

Speaking of FFF, Zombie Dust was one of my favorite pale ales until Alpine came out with Hoppy Birthday. ;)

Favorite cider:
No any specific favorites on brand or flavour, preferably dry.

I like the Hartwall Original Gin long drink too.

Favourite cider? Easy:

Favourite beer? Wow, that's like trying to chose a favourite child... :boggled:

Bit of a thread revival but currently I'm drinking this stuff. Its super strong at over 8%!!! But its got a good taste and its on offer at Morrisons lol

Henry Weston's 8.1% cider

I've had that. And I find that it is quite dry and does actually hide the kick of the strength quite well. But its not for drinking on a night out, more for a one drink night thing.

Its impossibly strong though.

I'm still searching for a relatively nice tasting cider. There's Cidre (from Stella Artios) and I've been finding that it does have a sharper taste at times, not as smooth as I expected. More for the occasional or if there is nothing else that is better around.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Thatchers Gold! Top Cider.....

Stella Cidre isn't that bad either, and the occasional Bulmers 18 goes down well.

Larger? A big fan of Corona and whilst at an Indian a Cobra's not bad

:)

Yeah I agree bit to strong to have a lot of it but 1 or 2 and its fine. The only time I felt the strength of this was when I had a bottle with some southern fried chicken. Could only taste the alcohol and nothing else lol.

priesty_lfc I have tried Thatchers Gold before and it is a really nice cider. Goes down very easy

My trip to Silverstone last year introduced me to Kronenbourg 1664 and that's what I was drinking until I had my gallbladder surgery. Now I can't drink anymore. :(

Pelforth blonde lager in France. Strong for your casual lager but sooooo nice :)

Desperados is quite nice, saw the summer away with a few on Saturday when the weather was nice.

Desperado, why won't you come to your senses?

It's a good beer, like it's so bad it's good. In fact, I brought two bottles back to the US.
