Before I start, welcome to GTPlanet!
Ive done a top 10 before in GT4, but top 5 in GT5 is a tough one
When considering the cars i have used the most for driving or just for laughs, the top 5 of cars I have liked driving IN GT5 are as follows:
1: Daihatsu Move SR-XX 4WD '97 "A Kei car, are you ridiculous?!" you may be thinking with shock, but no, it has become one of my absolute favourite cars to have a nice little runabout in, its very powerful for what it is (fully tuned reaches 180ish bhp) an 4WD allows it to be fantastic for both onroad and offroad driving
2: Isuzu 4200R A sorely underrated car mainly because of brand name, it is a genuinely unique car that has really caught my eye, it looks great with a nice colour (its standard silver isnt too bad though) and it is great to drive. Its hard to say much about a car hardly anyone knows about anyway, but try it out for yourself, the car does the talking better than I ever can
3: TVR Tamora '02 This is the car that got me into the drifting scene, and the car that made me appreciate the huge amount of skill drifting requires, as this car was one of the toughest to drift with its less then 1000kg weight and 508bhp, it was a pocket rocket! It makes as a great drift car!
4: Mazda RX-8 (Any Model) This car is one of the most underrated in the game, the road cars are so well balanced and rather nice looking, with that epic rotary whine to boot. However if you think that was awesome wait until you find the Mazda RX-8 Concept LM Race Car, that thing is one of the prettiest race cars in the game, has the classic livery used by the LeMans winning 787B an sounds almost like it. You coul say the RX-8 is the descendent of the 787B
5: Chaparral 2J This was a tough choice for 5th as there are many cars I like, but this one was the standout. This racecar was TOO GOOD for the can-am racing series it participated in and was banned from the series. It was an X1 from 40 years ago and my goodness does it look totally non-ordinary, its design, technical excellence if very much outside the box.. even if the car itself DOES look like a box
So there you have it, my top 5 cars of GT5
