It is a bit of a joke that you cannot play games like dark rain in SP as it needs to be connected to the PSN :(

Really frustrating :(
 
Well today I have tried to Sign In but still coming up with the same problems.

Error Codes (8001050F)

Official Playstation Community have numerous upset PS3 owners http://community.eu.playstation.com...-to-Playstation-Network/td-p/9735686/page/126

Have called Playstation Customer Services (UK) 08447360595 and got a busy signal so it seems that they are trying to get it sorted.

No fix yet from Playstation...lets hope they find one soon.

On my PSP I can Sign In and get into the the Store.....Wierd works on one but not the other!!

Sorry if some of you are having trouble logging on to gtdb.

A few weeks ago I've added a function that asks the PSN servers for your account name if it hasn't been verified yet. It seems that the current PSN hiccups prevent this feature from working as intended, so I've deactivated it for the time being.

You should be able to log in now, Alexi. 👍

(And thanks everyone for the laps that have been posted for this event so far - some brilliant stuff. :cheers: :bowdown:)

Would you know why we all cannot Sign In to PSN?? Thousands of people are being affected and Playstation do not have an answer for anyone yet.:nervous:

Seems to only affect the PHAT PS3s... if you have a slim you wont have a problem...

I have a slim PS3 and it’s taking at least 4 attempts before I get connected to a race and occasionally when I get past the player matching stage it will just freeze on a random view of the track. When I do finally get successfully connected I don't have as much trouble with the following races.

Thats a known issue :) This has to do with something else though at the moment... All PS3 PHATS cannot log into PSN at the moment because of a bug.... So 1,000s of PS3s are not working properly at the moment... More info in the thread I provided :) Hopefully its fixed soon...

Oh I see, thought you were on about the general dreadfulness of trying to connect to races as mentioned in earlier posts. What a strange bug... that sucks.
 
My slims been unable to connect since around 8pm EST last night...I just went offline and ran the Suzuki Cervo TT till I fell asleep (shortly thereafter, dang that thing is slow).... :ouch:

Sorry to hear you're all having trouble signing in, but I may have a solution.
I was having the same problem myself so I searched for the error code 8001050F and found this link - http://www.inentertainment.co.uk/20...he-ps3-users-are-saying-about-8001050f-error/

I haven't actually read it all but it says that the PS3 thinks that 2010 is a leap year so has reset the date to Jan 2001.
💡 Well how about if I set the date and time manually? Tried it and hey presto it works!

I actually did have some good race, with jh001, Synwraith (even dough way faster :P), Roomboter and Twistybits and some other people. And I finnaly managed a 16.883 in freerun. Still able to shave off 0.2sec because I lost that to mine previous lap. I think I have a solid tune now, maybe need to fiddle with the gear ratios (using it as a 5speed).
Overall a goodnight of racing for me, with not to many connection errors, and only few punts.
 
I'm having a mare tonight. Not happy with my setup, losing the thick end of a second a lap. Sorry synwraith at 1st corner but in my defence i was hit by lotus which put me into you. Thanks guys:tup:
 
Sorry if i spoilt any of you boys race with me turning up in the RX8, I'm havin a mare tonight, so was testing a few tweeks, just jumped in and found myself with a few NSX's, apologies.
 
Last night I had 3 guys using KOR tags in black NSX's all doing their best to wipe me out, I bet they'll think twice before doing it again though because once the rules of engagement had been established it was they who found themselves wiped out, I don't tend to go on the offensive but these morons were really pissing me off.

Very very surprised at this, KOR drivers are 99% alien fast and incredibly courteous. Don't let it colour your view of all of them, I've organised races between many of them and some GTPers, always a completely clean and fast affair.

I know I was surprised too as I have had some good clean races with a couple of other KOR drivers. I really don't know what these guys problem was, I did absolutely nothing to provoke them and all of sudden they started brake testing me then ramming me so I gave them some back then it just turned into all out war and they came off worse :lol:.

If you recall, just 2 or 3 days ago you were in a race with me and KOR_Hellrazor at Suzuka in the NSXs (I was yellow, Hell black and you white), and Hellrazor and I were side by side through nearly all of the esses, nose-to-tail for 5 laps with absolutely no contact, and you were just behind us enough to see the whole thing. So you know they are as reliable as they come.

I said it to you before mate, this doesn't solve anything. And now that you have a GTP tag you are even more responsible and accountable for dirty driving, regardless of those around you. I know you lost your rag, happens to everyone at some point, just be careful 👍

Yeah I remember, in the 2 and bit laps I kept up with you there were about 2 corners where I had slightly better exit than you two but because you were side by side almost all the time I couldn't make a move, I then tried a bit too hard, went on the grass a bit, lost your slipstream then gradually slipped back, good race though I enjoyed it 👍. I've had a few races with Hellrazor and yeah he is definitely a good and clean racer.

17: Complaints:


All complaints relating to a racing incident must follow this procedure:

  1. Contact the driver concerned privately (GTP_PM or PSN_PM)
  2. Discuss in a manner that is normally acceptable here at GTP (AUP)
  3. If a complaint cannot be resolved privately then as a last resort contact sjaak68 (CLICK HERE)
  4. Name PM subject title 'Racing Complaint'
  5. Supply Members PSN_Tag
  6. Supply Date & time of incident
  7. Supply Event type
  8. Supply Car driven by driver
  9. Supply Details and any other relevant information relating to the incident

In case the procedure regarding race incidents is not followed and the driver decides to discuss the racing incident in public here on the GTP forum, the driver may be given a warning or an infraction (in case of repetition or blunt accusations) by one of the OLR racing admins.

That would have been the proper way. 💡

If you make a public accusation like this, please at least provide clear proof of where and how the events started.... Thanks.
