I did some practice this noon again and I managed to reach a good pace :)

Glad I won't be there to see how slow my 1:41.5x really is. :dunce:

Not sure if anyone noticed but I turned the slipstream back down to Real to avoid pile ups in turn 1. It did make it difficult to overtake but we didn't have any real bad incidents in turn 1 so for Saturday I'd recommend keeping it Real......yo. 👍

I think that worked just right. 👍 there was just enough for it to have a slight edge down the start finish straight, which ment that a good exit was vital for making a pass... or out braking for the entry :sly:

I really enjoyed the last Ferrari event I joined. But it was quite a draining experience. I practiced average 20 laps per day for a week and was so tired after the first race. It was difficult to focus for the second race. I am not sure I can do that again in a while :D

I still keep an eye open if a familiar track is on the list I will certainly consider joining again if slot is open. Silverstone is quite familiar so maybe see you there

Maybe just race one of the events... That is fine right?

Well, I could have used a bit more draft so I could have caught Turnupdaheat at least once during the first 13 laps,:irked: but I liked how it was coming off the rear of my Ferrari because it wasn't strong enough to let either cBcvaBch or Amarynceos catch me.:)

Any chance you (or Daddy-o) can turn it up just a little for my car?;):D

Seriously, I would say that the draft was just about right.👍

I always prefer to be doing the chasing rather than trying to focus up front... I think the pressure is different, when your behind you (almost) have nothing to lose, and you can gauge your self against those in front, but when you 're leading you have everything to lose and you have to guess just how hard (or not) you have to push!

I shall be reviewing the replay tonight, so expect some treats!

Depends on who it is for me! I HATE having Brandon behind me, Slalom is someone else who sticks in my mind as someone who seemed to be able to throw me off just by placing his car behind mine . No idea why it depends who it is, but there probably is a reason there somewhere!

I think it has to do with psychology. If the person behind you is better or of equal skill as you, it messes with your head and you become more nervous. If the person behind you is someone you aren't to worried about, you don't get as nervous and thus are less likely to make mistakes. During the f430 race, I had kling AND Brandon on my tail. It was terrifying and I was so nervous. Which is why I was really surprised I didn't mess up and that I actually won.

Not really for me. Pace is somewhat irreverent in my head, if I had to guess at anything it would be peoples confidence in their breaking points and more importantly, mine!

Absolutely! 👍

I prefer being the chaser because I can put the pressure on. I try to always keep you guessing as to what I'm about to, make you keep checking your mirrors and get you out of rhythm. If I can overtake due to a mistake I have a better chance of keeping the position, rather than just squeaking by and then having you on my tail applying pressure.

Oh I felt the pressure that night but I tried pushing out of my head and try to have the same brake points as every other lap and the same turn in points everything. I guess it worked which is unusual since I don't tend to be very consistent. Kling, Brandon, chase, you guys are all consistently fast but I can be slow I can be fast I can make many mistakes or I could make few mistakes.

^I used to be the same way, the only way to improve is lots of seat time and analyzation. You have to be exposed to different situations and make mistakes, eventually you develop a mental encyclopedia of different scenarios you can draw from to plan your next move and deal with the pressure. Speed and consistency also come with experience but also require deliberate intent and education. Learn why exit speed is the most important thing to focus on and what exactly "slow in, fast out" means.

Watch this, it's old but still completely relevant and can be applied to GT. It's very well done, easy to understand and enjoyable to watch. 👍 And the hair/clothing styles are hilarious.

I meant to come race with you guys last night. Forgot to subscribe to the thread and missed out on it. :dunce:

Yeah I used to be a lot worse than I am now. I've definitely improved ever since racing with you guys. I've seen certain situations and I've learned what may happen and what I should do. I've also become more patient as well. Trying to force a pass could lead to a slow exit in a turn and I may end up losing more time. Worse still forcing a pass could lead to either me wiping out or me wiping someone else out. I just need to wait for the right time. I will watch that video although not all at once because its an hour and a half long.

I've kinda got used to @BrandonW77 being in my rear view mirror (and not for the right reasons either!), I Still havet
he feeling of "Here he comes..."

It didn't help last night though, when I lit up the rears

Edit: forgot to add, just finished my photo shoot of the 2nd race... only took 3hrs and a 150 shots to get it done :boggled:

I looked for you but didn't see you online. Catch you next week in the California. 👍

You got it bud, that's the right way to look at it. You'll always make mistakes, but that's how you learn. And sometimes it's hard to remember that in the heat of the moment, I was literally a nervous wreck for the final turns last night and if I'd of kept my head I could have won.

Howdy there, I've been looking for a place to race, and hoped this might be it.
GT6 has been kind of a bore so far, but it looks like you guys have fun here.

I'm not that fast, but theres always room for improvement and i'm looking to learn.
So if you think you got room for some more i'd love to drive along.

We'd be happy to have you. This has turned out to be a lot of fun and we've had some great racing. We also have all skill levels here so you're sure to find someone to keep you company during the races. As long as you race like a gentleman (and don't mind the occasionally hooniganism) you'll fit right in. 👍

Send me a FR on PSN and look for me Tuesday for the race or maybe before for some practice. @daddyo845 will be guest hosting this Saturday if you want to get in on the 512bb.

And former Ferrari owners. Based on what I've read they're a nightmare of a car to own, for the most part, and very expensive to maintain. Kind of like a boat or a Corvette, the two happiest days of your life are when you buy it and when you sell it.
 At least they're a joy to drive.

This has been the most expensive festival that I've ever been to.:lol::lol:

Hey, exclusivity cost money pal. I've tried to stick to the cheaper end of the Ferrari's so far, and after the California we'll be running the cheapest of all Ferrari's, the Dino! And @MC-Chase will be happy to know it's staying on SH tires. :sly:

 At least they're a joy to drive.

When they're operational!
