some people just quitted , not all dcd

if vicars did his fuel math right he would of had a shot at the win , he lost the race by adding too much fuel

logic knew his strategy before the race i imagine
I thought i did, but last 3 laps fuel was in the red, so i was just rolling along as i had abot 13 seconds back to vic and the race time clock was going slower and slower - and vic was getting closer and closer and i was praying fuel would last just 2 more laps if i went slower - very lucky it did last, just. perfect really but had me sweating.

you would have probably joined flanked and aboe last lap lol

it was an eventful race after all wasn't it?

It was a fun race. Everything was going to plan until the dc. Didnt see Aboe on track though :boggled:

Btw Was i the only one on a 1-stopper?

I want to say Kudos to the organization:tup:; I know that it takes a lot of time and effort to organize such events. And as I’ve seen last night ,it is done very well. Really sorry that I was not able to stay for all race, but as of next one I will be present. Specially at my home track :)

I was not able to try all the proposed cars, but as I can understand from the BHP settings each car would be able to set the same lap time? I was also surprised that all participants did the effort to avoid collisions, real pro’s .for me I think that I will need still some more practice, as I’ve seen the level is pretty high. During the race, I was trying to get as close to the fastest lap set by LOGIC, but closer than +0.9s I was unable to set…

I’m already looking out for the next one :gtpflag:

Thank you

It was a good race lastnight, I'm not absolutely sure what went wrong. When I pit the first time I put full fuel in (my first mistake maybe). I went in in 3rd I think and come back out near the back. 2 nd mistake was short shifting and trying to make a 1 stop work which was never going to happen and the the 3rd mistake we all know, 3 litres to little in the splash and dash. Even if I went I. Again I probably would of held 5th but it wasn't to be.

Good win logic, your pace was good, just glad I'm back to full speed next week!

Thanks Flank, to be honest i was praying you needed to stop again towards the end of the race as even though your tyres must have been bad your pace was pretty good and i would have wanted pressure from behind so close to the finish so it was a relief when you pitted.

i didnt have many highlights to be honest.
i had a great start and got a small lead and was able to get 5 seconds ahead after a few laps as vic and tobias were battling - but then vic started closing as my grip dropped off a bit and by lap 11 thru turns 3 and 4 he was on to the back of me and i had to be a bit defensive and under pressure a lap later on lap 13 at turn 4 had a little grass excursion that cost 6 seconds and i was lucky not to spin- but i prefer chasing than being chased and vic went into the lead.
from there i held 2nd place and was waiting for everyone behind to do their stop before i did mine so i wouldnt get any traffic.
I pitted from 2nd place - 5 seconds behind Vic - on lap 23 for 55 liters of fuel and cam out in 2nd place
Vic pitted from the lead on lap 24 and filled fuel to top and lost 10 seconds to me on the track and came out to fight with other cars that had short filled with fuel.
Really thats what cost Vic the race as he was then in a bit of traffic for a few laps and had a full tank.
I then kept the lead and after most did 2nd stop i did mine and put in 65 liters and came out behind tobias who had yet to 2nd stop.
Vic was the real threat though and i managed to creep out a gap to about 12 seconds in the lead but when he pitted for his 2nd stop he filled tank to top again.
Over the last 3 laps i had to back of 1 second each sector as i was panicking about fuel running out as it was in the red.
Vic was closing and closing but i paced it just right and finished 5 seconds ahead.
I was so nervous not to throw away the chance of a win by making a mistake and i must say, for me even knowing i had extra bhp on many others it was still surprisingly hard for me not to throw it away as there are quite a few tricky turns at redbull just waiting for a mistake.
I feel also that i nicked this one from vic as his car never seems to slow down as his tyres wear out and he is relentless.
If he had managed the fuel i would have found it impossible i think. But i am so so happy i have won it even with hp advantage.

Thanks for the highlights mate :)

And yes i know what you mean; when you are basically never in position to win a race and you are in first pace with a good chance all corners seems tighter, grass closer, track slippier, those behind you faster, the race longer etc etc lol

I think it was a bit of a shock for some of the new people who joined us in the room for the race last night.
As snake mentioned, it was probably a bit of a shock for them a 90 minute race. But i do think that it helps get people interested when we do practicing in open lobbies, specially when there are a few of us, it was nice to have a higher number of cars on the grid, at least at the start of the race, shame i am so slow at typing messages to them, specially in fillapino

Congrats @Stephen Vann with the victory! And podium as well.. Well deserved!

Unfortunately i won't make it next Monday for the home race at Spa cause i'm in Germany for 4 days for my work.
I'll be back at Apricot Hill -20hps.

Basically skipped lunch but got it alright :)

not sure if you need the wires in the little plastic bag - i dont know if they came with it or not but i thought i would send them anyway, just in case.
I think u sent me 2 extra cables but i didn't had time to check... As soon as i get home i'll start installing and setupping. I hope i can get the right quality out of it right away :)

Been recording video i'm a bit unsure about quality but i'll hear from you guys ;)

along the next days i'll make more tests to find the sweet spot to say so

There are lots of videos with help from users on youtube about best settings for this and that, there are so many things you can adjust and fine tune, you will hate it - i know you prefer default settings

Actually i research very intensively for the best quality it's just that i hate to do it :D but after you found the best settings you are basically done for ages :)

i'm starting to mount the video... It'll be pretty good. In the next days i try to record the video using a different software than roxio's ones; i have the feeling that the roxio softwares is not taking out 100% of the quality out of the device.

I'll post some test later on.
