Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network will undergo scheduled maintenance on Monday, November 17.
During that time, Sony will "deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network." Expect the downtime to last approximately six hours, from the hours of:

Been training a bit at nurb 24h so far my best with my -10hps is 9.17.454 i think i might get in 16s or high 15s but wouldn't bet on it

Fili, i just brought a new car and its much better.
If anyone is interested ........... Fili and i both have been practicing at nurn 24
Yesterday fili was smooth and fast - before we had a practice race he went to change oil, when he came back
he said he had to repair chassis also.
When we started the race he was slow and crashed a lot.
I was smooth and quite fast, and did a lot of laps yesterday without crashing and was good.
When i went online today, i changed oil and also noticed that chassis needed repair, which i did.
The car handled so badly afterward i couldnt work out what had happend, i was slow and crashing everywhere with no grip.
I then mentioned this to fili and we both agreed that a flexable chassis is better at this track.
Oddly we both also found that we had the reinforced extra strength chassis, karsten has since told me these are not allowed, but anyway it sems that for this track, a reinforced chassis along with a reinforced chassis changes the cars
grip so much its almost undrivable.
I have now been and purchased a new car without buying the reinforced strength chassis and its much better and much more grip.
Just thought i would share this as if you do anything like that just before the race you may wonder what the hell has happened, and its amazing that you can tell so much difference in a game when the chassis has ben repaired.

The extra reinforcing means that the cars body absorbs less of the impact from road to car. This impact still needs to go somewhere and ends up in the only place left for it and that's between suspension and road. If you were able to tune to counteract this you would end up running softer suspension settings, but as this is not the case then on some circuits this would mostly end up with a poorer handling car. It is especially noticed on Nurb as its track surface is very irregular. You would possibly notice an improvement on the actual track part of the circuit but as soon as you leave this then the grip levels afforded to you by the wheels would seem to quickly drop off leading to an unpredictably handling car.
On another note I managed an 8:58 yesterday in the Gara, and its possible to go quicker again just getting into the swing of it (Obviously there was no hp restrictions)

Yes Rono, you are making everyone happier and happier with your laps times.
I have to say i was amazed at the amount of difference i can feel from the chassis rebuild, in a game its amazing.
Anyway, got a new lexus without the chassis upgrade and its just perfect again with all the grip back.

Well Fili, i dont agree the car would be better, but its a different car so it may have a different effect, but if you are happy and have confidence in itthen thats the most important thing.

Karsten. I dont think that i can do a complet lap without mistakes. And ( correct me if i am wrong) but i think it was rono who did a 8.98 in the autobacs car.

I feel i have to post this.
A note on Mondays race, and i have done lots and lots of laps to try to improve, but i think i need to know what others think.
If the car in front is going at a similar speed to you , its almost impossible to overtake anywhere but the long straight unless a mistake is made where the car ahead is going quite a lot slower.
In practice races i have had, the car ahead is so concentrating on keeping the car on the track that there is almost no room to leave alongside if a car is trying to overtake.
I have tried overtaking and crashed, and i have been overtakien and crashed and i think that i need to know if someone behind is just a tad faster than me on some of the long fast sections that are not straight, i will have to hold my racing line even if they are alongside and i push them off onto the grass.
This wont be a blatant attempt to crash them, but more that i am so hanging on for dear life that it will surely end in tears for either or both of us.
This is not my normal style, but this place is a beast and i am just trying to survive.
Therefore if somehow you are behind me during the race and are clearly faster than me, which is probably all of you, if you do try to overtake anywhere other than the long straight, i will not be trying to give you room alongside, as i will be hanging on to the racing line for dear life, and whatever the outcome i am sorry.
