Id like to suggest locking in the top 10 in points, and making the remaining 10 pre qualify for the final 6 spots on the grid, in the event that someone says they cant make the race from the locked in top 10 then open it up to accommodate all available lobby positions, once the final 16 is sorted then open the official lobby for main qualifying and the race,

Allowing it to happen that way will avoid people being punted off in a race and losing all chance before things have gotten started,

with 6 newcomers just joined at season end it would be 100% the same as we had yesterday :D

Well no, because only the bottom 10 and 2 stewards would need to attend, the other 10 just need to learn how to follow instruction

Because you have two seats in the main race, it seems to me that a qualifying race for the new is a good idea.
Only thing to note because the race is endurance qualifications should be a little longer run

@TDZdave @kossu @PJTierney

First of all i admit things could have been better... I wasn't aware we oversold the racing places so i had to come out with a 5 minute solution and couldn't think of anything better than this Pre-Q race.

We had to switch room because you can't move a room from laps to minutes/endurance (i wonder why, PD!?) and for some reason PSN yesterday was completedly Fked up. Never had such a nightmare in basically 3 season filled with about 30 races of 90 minutes O_o

That really made me mad, i'll be honest :D

We Never needed the rollcall so far in the season because we never had more than 12 on grid... We jumped from 14 drivers (and a couple missing races) to 20 in like 3-4 days and i wasn't aware... I got Friend requests from PJ, TDZ, and kossu last minute...

Concerning running 2 split rooms, i won't do it now because we are nearing the end of season and there's drivers fighting for championship win, and running 2 half rooms give a great advantage to certain drivers, and makes the BOP IMPOSSIBLE to check and use in next rounds....

@Stephen Vann Don't feel bad you did a great work with your recruiting :D We might up the number of rooms to 2 and take 32 drivers next season :D Actually if the format we are studying i successful as @SkengD thinks we might HAVE to prepare and set up 2 Rooms using then a combined results calculation based on room results and time results based n both rooms... I.e. 16 to 1 points for 1st to 16th in room, and 32 to 1 points based on time performance of joint room results as PJ suggested...

All in all my apologies for the mess, but if PSN was normal we would have managed and raced easily no matter what.

Now a question to all partecipants:

Do we want to shorten the season of 1 week ditching sarthe and running without BOP at motegi?

I ask because this monday skip caused all to slide back one week and some of us might have some issues racing on the 22 of december?

karsten
I'm still good for all races :-)

Yes Sport, i quite agree, all divers have been practicing in the club room all week for a length endurance race,
then to have to run a 3 lap sprint is not really fair on them and the time they have put in.

We are working out a plan behind the scenes to try to make it fair on everyone involved, and everything will be taken into consideration.

As there only 3 rounds to go in this series, then its not a problem that will last very long.
Also the servers playing up last night just made the issue 10 times worse.

We have a new endurance series starting after the new year, that we feel will draw in many many drivers, its very exciting, and more will be announced soon, but in a strange way, this may well help us to have more structure to our procedure when and if we hit problems in the future.

I was going to suggest that we could run a 20 minute race , or maybe 30 minute race qualifying before the main event.
I am happy to host this at around 6.15pm uk time, but for people in different time zones this may be too early.

And of course i would still feel bad for the drivers that did not get through, as they would still need to practice, and that would have been wasted time for them.

Also for those that did get through, they then have another qualifying session and a further 90 minute race.
Rather a lot of concentration for a Monday night, but we will get it sorted and make a decision.

It would be interesting to know, who would be available for qualifying at around 6.15pm UK time though ?

If you would open a qualify for the remaning spots you mean or everybody? For me as it was is great, adding another 20-30 min is way to long, at least for me. Thank you

Prefer to run all races. Only 3 left..

Btw is the last race (lemans) without powerpenalties?

I dont blame anyone here for not racing yesterday, never experienced psn in a manner that bad before. And 10min qualifying should be enough to determine who gets through no?!

I can understand that it is frustrating that all spots are taken, but you cannot go into to the wishes of every new comer. The rules are set by the organizer.you agree with it thats all. To take or leave.

I personally think karsten needs to go back through the thread see who was the 16th person to join and everyone after that should go on a reserve list until the series finishes. Then in the off season create a system to incorporate more than 16 and go to a 2 lobby system if needs be. It's to late in the season now to over complicate things to fit 2 or 3 extra drivers in.

I was the last person to join and I can agree with that

Stewards decisions Concerning Pre-Q
After Much talking we choose as follows:

The first 12 in the standings have the right to claim their Locked in Slot by confirming their presence in the monday race in forum.
This means that the following drivers:

Jona
flanked
Skeng
Aboe
karsten
LOGICLINE
Gavin
tobias
GTDAVINCI
filipino

smiley
snake

Are locked in after they confirm being on track. Confirming presence and then not being on track without a 24h warning will make a driver lose his locked in position.

If a top 12 driver says that will skip a race, the following driver in the standings can claim the locked in position.

Driver that have to pre-Q as today are:

gignac
Jpw
canyon
ekke
gueven
thegaz

MAB
ninjitsuevolved
kossu
PJ
sportchip
storm
TDZ

How pre-Q will work

There will be a 8 minutes qualifyer, followed by a 20 minutes Race. Top 4 drivers are promoted to Main Race. If Stewarding is required it'll be done in real time by Stewards watching the race and by replays.

The Pre-Q race will start 6:30. The Qualyfiying round for Pre-Q will start about 10 minutes earlier, around 6:20.

After the Pre-Q race is decided the Qualifiyed drivers will be allowed to take part in the Main Race. I sugggest to non Qualified drivers to stay available for a little while in case some locked in driver doesn't show up, or there's issues for other drivers.

I hope this sounds fair to all involved and i again apologize for those that will have to sit out of the race.

karsten

Hi Pubes, i guess you could join mate - you would have to pre qualify.
I will confirm what the situation is with which car you can use and post back -
