Today i'll run the usual full race test. All welcome to join, expecially @ThePDTX so we can check his connection.

Oh since apricot hill position has been discovered we'll use its weather. It's basically 10km from fuji track.

Race will start at night (i.e. At 4:00) and go on from there. The sun rising at the track is wonderful!
I will join you guys today. I've already sent you a FR, but you haven't accepted yet.
i sent you one last night

I'm at work lol

Remember to spec your impreza at the right hps and to buy all the tires you might need
Karsten, ive been doing just a few laps at Apricot and i also did a 2 full race runs at spa.
i had set the time progression to 3 instead of 6 and the weather changability to 3 instead of 6 and the put the weather on 30% .
twice during the my race practices it slowly started to rain and got to about track wet 40% and 60% track wet the second time then rain stopped and gradually dried out again.
I have to admit i know not much about setting up the weather , but when it did rain it didnt go to 100% and also it took quite a while to gradually get wet and again it took quite a while to dry out as opposed to going from 0 to really wet in 3 laps and dry again in 3 laps.
it seemed much better to me , and i just thought i would let you know.

Yes, I've accepted you. :) Are you the steward? The rules said it was Azidahaka.
No i am noone really , just i try to get as much practice as i can as i am not very fast i am afraid, so i guessed that the more psn friends you have with us gt300 guys the better chance of joining a practice room as they are friends only, as is the race . Karsten is certainly the boss.

skeng is a steward, the third steward is chosen by need, i.e. avoiding a teammate in acse one is involved. usually there's no need for me and skeng see things the same way, and in any case the fairness of the field is astonishing.

@BAZZER is you connection fixed?

@Stephen Vann Boss? :D i think we might test that tonight if you are with us, but i prefer to keep the time speed at 6 to keep the "8 hour cycle" of endurance race.

i know you like the progression at 6 but i think that just makes the weather go even faster along with the time.
i am no expert as you know, but it certainly slowed the speed and duration of the rain when it was on 3

Should I add skeng then? ... Question, do you guys do the flashing the lights method to warn someone that you'll attempt to pass?

Well from my experience, not really needed. We all seem to be aware who is behind and we are all generally very very fair and always give room to cars that are alongside on the straights and the bends, and only when people are trying to overtake in silly places they may get pushed off the track if the leading car is on the limit and taking the racing line, but in general i should say we all race very fairly, and there are only very few bumps and scrapes unintentionally from time to time. But no no real need, although we did have a guy Flanked, i think it was who spent the whole 1.5 hour race continually flashing his lights , quite funny really, when i asked him why he spent the whole race flashing his lights he told me he got bored, anyway i told him it looked like he had a loose wire .

now this is a story; i never flash, i rarely do it to disturb another driver if we are fighting or if i think a driver had a bad move on me or risked a collision.

and yes filo and flanked where the two flashlights of the serie :D

Haha, nice story. Never intended to question the judgment of other racers, it's just that in S.N.A.I.L we never raced at night, so I was curious if you usually did that because of the lack of light. Like in Le mans, etc. So if no one does it, and it is distracting and/or frowned upon, then I won't do it. :)

our success penalties give all racers a chance to shine! :) you'll love the serie, i'm sure, and the fellow racers are amongst the best i met ever; i would just add a few other to the list but can't have all you wish lol

I'll try it out then, and see if it doesn't bother the rest of the drivers. This is assuming i'll be able to pass anyone.
You should also check out the FGTA main thread (link is in my sig), as long as you are clean and fair, then pace doesn't matter, we already have 1 series that allows for various pace runners to race together and there will be a lot more to come 👍

Nope I still have no internet, I'm so angry it's unreal. I've took 3 days off work ans they never came and I have Monday booked off again for them to finish. Atleast they have put my line from the street to the adjacent house so I'm hopeful it'll be done this time. And compensation is in order too so that'll be good.

Oh and I never once flashed my lights, I found it disrespectful and unsportsmanlike, it was filo.

I don't flash my light unless I'm lapping someone. Then I will flash them until I pass or they move over. I've had bad experiences with lapped cars not paying attention.

@azidahaka o, think its the right way, should be -10 for missing race :) Are you gonna start full race practice in about 30min? If so i will hurry to get ready :)

Got Disco'd and my PS3 crashed -___-' and apparently keeps crashing when I boot GT6.

...So I managed to boot GT6, but when I enter the open lobby it says that the network is down... fml
