Motegi Race was postponed until Next Monday.

Once we got to a point where we were so far past the advertised start time and drivers had to leave as they had commitments, it was no longer fair to run the race.

Also once GV left the room, we had no lag issues and so we set a 1 hour practice race.

The Qualy and race will be re run next Monday.

I will also ask Gv to not enter, as unfortunately your connection just seems to be the cause of issues for others.

I may request we bring the race time forward 15 minutes to start at 18:45 UK time. as we then will have a little more leeway if we do have any issues with the rooms.

Anyone who cannot start the race 15 minutes earlier please post and let me know.

Many apologies for all the frustraition, makes me crazy.

what a mess it was... couple of remarks/questions if I may although i reckon that i am a newby, that you guys have been doing that for some time now and should you know what you're doing and why you're doing it.

We all know @Pubs16 is on the other side of the earth, that it's important for him to start on time because after the race, where we continue to play or go to sleep, he actually goes to work... why did we wait so long for @Gueven Art (all due respect) who is a guest in this serie as far as i could understand and take away @azidahaka team mate away from the race.

Secondly all those restart because of crashes during pace laps.
I thought it was well established that if you were to spin or crash during the pace lap, you were supposed to go to the back of the pack, pit if necessary and go on with the race.
I understand the restart if cause by someone else but seriously... 5 times...
i'm not blaming @SRT DK Racing for his pace, he's in pole, he goes as fast as he wants to. I have to admit that in the end, we were so eager to start that the pace was almost too high for me.

and finally before what seem to be the start of the race, although somebody wrote PC in the chat area and then @Stephen Vann wrote go but in the front of the pack it was still pace lap. I stayed behind @GT_Vette and all the sudden the back of the pack flew by and i was last.
Very well then, off you go Dumbledore would say. The race went on for a lap or two, i can't even remember and people kept chatting...that's when i barely avoided @Stephen Vann but smashed into @azidahaka (sorry about that, reliefed that it bears no consequence after all)

Sorry for not being so thorough during the unofficial race but my youngest was craying too loud for me to ingore him...

Regarding an earlier start, 1845UK, i can't make it. i have a too well oiled routine between the quali and the race to put my kids to bed

Bottom line is I'm glad we all get a due over, that @Gueven Art and @Pubs16 will be able to run it.

Yes Ced, it was all rather a mess, and got messier and messier as everyone became more frustrated.

But just keep it all crossed it goes ok next week.

Adding to my previous post.

I really am against starting the race with any of you guys left behind.
Especially if i know the guys left behind have practiced for many hours in preparation for the race, and are looking forward to it.

Yesterday was a shambles, and it just happens sometimes and it seems we just have to put up with it.

I think for those that are on the other side of the planet, that have work to go to etc, we should have a cut off time of 19.15 UK so that if the race starts any later than that it is deemed to be postponed, and then run the following week.

We can still have an unofficial race, as we did last night and was good fun and i hope most of us enjoyed it, but it is very unfair to publish a start time and then start earlier or too late for drivers to be comfortable with.

The crashes on the pace lap were not really anyone's fault, as i saw ahead of me drivers ghosting as they were messaging and then other bashing them as they suddenly unghosted, just one of those things, made worse by the slippery conditions and bad visibility, although looking back, i feel as if we didn't have those pace lap incidents at the first start then things may have gone ok.

The pace lap in general does seem to help the lag, and the lag was gone towards the end of it, and even in Q we had lag that went after first lap was completed, so running for a while and letting the room settle down after the q or race start does work, especially with full rooms.

What we must do is run the pace lap at a steady and gradually increased pace until at full pace crossing the start finish line when the pace lap ends.

The oddest thing was that some of us were in the dry and some of us were in the wet at the first restart, really very very odd, and a real glitch, in fact when i went to reset the room for a restart, it froze on me, the first time i have ever had any connection issues like that, so clearly we had a dodgy room or server.

We have many in the standings that are very close on points, and is another reason that i really am in favor of not running the race if all are not present for no fault of their own.

I do not know exactly what all happened yesterday, but it was simply a disaster…

My car has been destroyed twice on the first lap and once on the second lap. Next Monday cannot be worse….maybe GV thinks that we are in destruction derby?:scared:

So every lag bug or glitch is my connection being not good

Srry but that is b**** to me

Gv to be fair, that part is not all your fault.

However, you continually message stuff that you should already know during the pace lap, you had at least 1 crash on the pace lap, we have several other regular guys already that have not ideal connections and with yours as well it just adds to make the whole thing less stable, and lastly, you add one further driver to a reasonably full room that also adds to the issues we have.

Its a shame, and i don't really like having to ask anyone to step aside, but in all honesty you seem to have a habit of causing bad feelings, as you just don't be quiet.

On top of that you had a bug running lighter than you should have.

All in all i just dont think you add anything positive to the races, and you seem to just get people a bit angry.

GV mate , you kept on changing your weight even though you were told you are to race at 1230 kg .

I think this is what put most of the drivers off .

I hold my hand up for 1 of the pace car incidents when I hit filipino .

What we really need to stop is the pausing and typing during the pace car period , I think only stewards should be allowed to do this if it is necessary .

Next season we should go back to the old method of qualifying and standing race starts as it is less of a headache than this current formula that we have .

Just my opinion of course , we can discuss everything end of season.

Ok but because i screw up one and half race doesnt mean that i am a bad driver and cause bad feelings?

Btw the weight thing is not my fault

It's a bug that i have since 1.17

Had a great training session with @Stephen Vann yesterday and for once i feel fast! :)

Tomorrow i'll write a report concerning pcars for you guys
I fear we may never see you again. I have been reading and looking more and more about pc and i think i say goodbye now.
It looks so amazing in every way there can be to be amazing,
If you ever report back that it is, i will have to go straight out and get a ps4 and pcars.

Hi guys I decided to quit this series
For 2 reasons

1 Because I found a spot in the GTP Endurance Series with Swift Autosport

2 because I don't feel respected anymore and I was kicked anyway
(no offense to the guys who decided)

Good luck with the rest of the season

Bye

3 words come to mind; spoiled little child.

All drivers were patient with you and even passed over your behaviour in the gvs race, you even got patience after causing 2 pace car crashes and now you quit because you do not feel respected?!

Respect is gained throught proper racing, sportmanship, cleanlinesss... Do you think me, logic, fili or the other drivers were accepted without proving their race behaviour? You didn't even listen to people telling you what pace lap would end :D

Good luck with the gtp endurance serie, i raced it and incidentally won it. It requires to read a lot of the rules, be clean and avoid contacts at all costs. Let alone moving aside when lapped, taking care of yellow flags etc etc.

After your 15 second t-boning fili and 2 crash under safety car i'm sure you'll have to mature a lot before being ready for the gtpendurance serie.

Good luck to you and to the team that took you in :D

Take note of Karstens advice regarding rules and regs because if you have found this series complicated then I'm sure you'll enjoy reading the 17 pages of rules, which no one will help you to understand as your expected to do this yourself. See you on track.

btw only one pace car accident and its wasnt my fault filli ghosted out on the wrong moment

And for the record i am a clean driver who has respect for people but only i screw up 1 race and i get the name "crasher' so thats wrong

Please note for when and where i came out of ghost state. GV to be fair, you seemed like a nice fellow. But when you dont know where a pace lap ends on a short track, you got an issue. You are a very aggressiv driver who dont know where to back off. A driver who wont take the blame no matter what. Like Karsten, Gavin & Logi told me, take deep breath before setting off, use your head and drive with your heart. I hope you will learn from going to the GTP series.

Thanks for thinking of me mate :). I'm glad we get to run it also! I was sad to see Gueven not be able to make it (all void now) but I certainly didn't wanna cut him off because I was close to not making it either....

@Stephen Vann the cut off time sounds great mate! But please don't cater it just because of me, I am the only Australian and for the majority it is night time... In really bad circumstances it'd be appreciated though! In saying that, I'll be cruisy for next week has I have a day owed off! So I won't be fussed. But as you said it's all very close mid pack in terms of points and itd suck major balls to lose out on any of the last 4 opportunity just because we couldn't get the room running right.

I can agree with @SkengD in that we need to stop ghosting so much on the pace lap unnecessarily. It really holds up half the pack and should only be used if there is an issue.

Fingers crossed for us all it runs smoothly like last week for Motegi's re-run.

Karsten you buy pcars today?
Yup, my first preorder ever... I'll report about the game later on today.

Seems it's as great as i expected, and it's getting great reviews... Very surprising to me since it's not a game for the most casuals, but it seems press understood it.

ok guys reporting about project cars. First of all game looks great. so far i played for like 2 hours. gt3 at imola and clio at oulton park. The ffb is ages better than gt6, also different cars car really be felt. the grip, track lines and the tires are well comunicated to the wheel and are very important. overheating or leaving tyres cold makes a dramatic effect. Ai is good careful and fast even at 80%... i expect to qualify at my first clio race at 80% no better than 8th. I'll add more when i play more.
