Here are a selection of pictures from the
UK National finals.
We'll start with the first thing i see as i walk into the Stowe complex on Monday morning.

First thing on Tuesday morning the 28 finalists gather outside the BRDC clubhouse for a picture with the GTR and
Jann himself.Among theses 28 we have 3 [
fgta] members
@rclark83 @gtpcaine @Glenalz81
The 28 finalists were split into 4 groups of 7, myself and
@rclark83 had the pleasure of being in the same group.Our first challenge of the day was the dreaded
media challenge of which i have no pictures, but was pleased to hear i was in the top 3 overall at this segment.

Our 2nd challenge of the day was the
fitness test which comprised of
the plank, push ups and the
sergeant jump.
The picture above is us trying our best to look like we warm up all the time
.For the plank and pushups i was average but managed a 2nd at the sergeant jump.(see my avatar)

Our 3rd challenge was the

Juke nismo R. Again was pleased to be informed that i had made the top 3 overall in this challenge also.

The 4th challenge was
the gaming, unfortunately for me in 2 out of the 3 TTs i had been given a 5sec penalty for running wide and this saw me bomb out of the gaming challenge altogether.

The 5th and final challenge of the day came in the form of the
bleep test, by far my least favourite event, been around 16 years since i last ran
and it showed as at around level 5.0 i had a barrage of sciatic missiles fire down my right leg forcing me out around level 5.3.
The challenges for the day were done! off we went to change and shower if we wished then head back over to the BRDC clubhouse to gather for the announcements.We gathered in the 1st floor lounge for the results.
After a speech or two the
top 10 finalists were called in no specific order, after my performance in the bleep test and the gaming the last thing i was thinking was that i was going to be in the top 10, but wonders shall never cease as my name was called around 3rd or 4th.As i stood in the line up all i was thinking was they've gotta be calling
@gtpcaine aswell, after the 9th name still no caine, then boom! Tim poole was called up.We stood beside each other both in disbelief.

At this point i realised that there were 4 from my group of 7 in the top 10 .
@GTPGhost @Spurgy 777 @gm matthew and myself.
So after another (what felt like a lifetime) it was time to call the the top 6.
Unfortunately myself and caine didn't make the cut this year.Which is probably for the best in my case anyway as my fitness was nowhere near where it was needing to be for race camp, aswell as the bonus of not being blacklisted from entering again.
All i can say is the events i did best at are the ones that come naturally, that i don't need to think about, and my worst events can be worked on for next year!
Anyway all the best to the top 6, i'm looking forward to watching the show.
BEST OF LUCK GUYS!
