If I remember correctly you are running on a wireless network? Is there any way you can get a long enough Ethernet cable to connect the PS3? Even if you have to remove it after the race so the rest of your family don't trip over it!

We have a 30/8 mbit/s cable, connected to my bro's router (mac router, no problem at all), he has 2 pc, and 3 console connected to it, but i asked him not to use anything while im driving, he disconnected every of his stuff.

I have 2 pc and a ps3 connected to the internet, earlier i used wireless connection to my brother's router, but about a month ago we tried to change it, we bought a 30m cable, and now im connected through that cable, yesterday only my ps3 used the net, nothing else. But still disconnects. No matter im using wireless or cable, same ****. I tought maybe the "very high" room quality is the problem, but when i'm practising im using only "high" and still disconnects sometimes... :grumpy: Things what i cant do anything against them are the worst while driving...

Dont want to sound like im calling you stupid, but you did update the settings on ps3 when changing between wired/ wireless? Reason i ask is my friend forgot, and kept moaning about dc's, then we found his ps3 was still connecting wirelessly despite having a cable plugged in.

Have you enabled dmz for the ps3 on the router? Other than that im clueless.

I did that the other week, didn't notice until mrs took it back in the other room and signed into psn via wifi, then I realized I had been using it via wifi  :banghead:

Happened to me as well when I first switched to wired.

Well, first 5 laps were great, good battling, then on entry to the bus stop i braked on the grass and was sent into a huge spin and picked up n/s/r damage :grumpy:, got back on track without losing a huge amount of time but the car was undrivable and ended up spinning again and taking more damage.By the time i'd finished the lap and come out the pits i was 12th and 2m.08 sec behind , i'd put Mediums on while in the pit to take me to lap 23 and allow me a sprint to the finish, passed roberte then Tk and nifty when they got tangled.I could just see Matheus on my mini map and thats all i was thinking about, however the margin i was catching him by was not quick enough to catch him by the end of the race until i got a bit of slip from mikey and then Matheus made a mistake at the final chicane with a couple of laps to go and that was that.
Despite the silly mistake on lap 5 and after i was done on the mediums the SLS had good pace and felt sweet, i really enjoyed the fight to the finish even though it was last in class it felt like a fight for it,:D so well done to all, there was some great racing.👍👍

@rclark83 sent you a msg on psn.:D Coulda been worse you might have led the whole race and have it happen on the penultimate lap.

:) Good start on first set of RS tyres, had a good battle with RS96 for a few laps, had good pace for 2nd place, pitted on 17th 'RM', Tap damage with nifty on 19th, thought I could run a few laps with damage but I was loosing to much, RM tyres could only 2;17 or so on time after pit fix. Power loss early again in the race. Lost my egde to gain/race so just plodded round. 36th back to RS tyres had a 2;15 lap time. Good racing/win by ninners, Don't know how he was getting 150 through on en rouge, 170 down straight, 160 through turn 18, nice to know the GT-R can do stuff like that with out the understeering out lol 👍

Yes we changed the settings to use the cable, and i turned off my wifi Ap, so there was no wifi net here, just the cable. Dmz was already enabled in his router. Probably my isp sometimes give me a bit higher ping and thats enough to get disconnected. Or its just a sign that im wasting too much time playing, and should find an another hobby

Sound's like you have done everything short of changing ISP :grumpy:

At least this week you reached the mark for points, and didn't loose many places (from DC position), but who knows what might have happened in the end of the race, you weren't far behind me (5th I think at the time) and I pulled it to 3rd. I think you would have finished in the fight with Stiggy and RS :(

Judging by his pace he would have easily overtaken me and Stiggy, especially because both of us were on RM's. Good for me, as I have earned more points by that... But to be honest I can give up my hopes for an overall win this season with that 4th place... Even a podium finish will be hard to achieve against you guys :grumpy: Milan really would have deserved those 2 places :(

Very interested in this. I've done online racing via GTPlanet before... did some races in 2012 with mixed success, took a long sabbatical, changed email address before forgetting my password, decided to create a brand new PSN account yesterday, loving GT6... so here I am!

Nice to see this forum is thriving like in 2012. What lap times are you guys getting at Ascari? ... I'd appreciate a benchmark to judge my times by.

I'll check back here soon... I can't say I hope for dropouts, but the schedule works perfectly for me (or it does now, at least). Cheers  - Beck

Hi welcome aboard, and lucky you, there is a Z4 open (just opened this weekend gone).

I have not done any Ascari testing recently, but I remember some of the quick drivers dropped under 2.00 in preseason.

As there is only 3 rounds left of this season I would suggest also checking out season 2 [thread] [sign up form]
Although we have 32 drivers in as full time I am sure we have 1 that has said they will move to reserve as they can't guarantee full time attendance :D

That's awesome! Didn't see that there was a Season 2... I'll check it out.

Quick question: Are we allowed to use all of the rumbles at Ascari? We had a load of issues with replay checking at a WRS time trial at this track, because they didn't allow to use the rumbles. Just curious, because I've done a 1:54min while testing :D

I need to have a look around, but I believe there is a white line all the way round, both sides of the track, so standard rules apply, 2 wheels must stay on the track side of that line 👍
