Closing Notes

Please check the timetable for your lobby. The pre-season races were only an hour long, and ran slightly different timetables.
Also, this is the first race of the season. No-one will clinch the championship at the first race.
Last season we had at least 3 people still in with a realistic chance of taking the title at the final race. Anything can happen, and along with PP penalties for podium finishes and championship standings, who knows who will win the next race.

Again, be patient, it's a 2 hour race. Making a silly lunge and making contact will only cost you time in the long run.

I will post an attendance list later.

AM drivers, please make sure you have Roberte (Roberte) added on PSN.
PRO driver, please make sure you have Caine (GTP_Caine) added on PSN.

Have a good one guys!

I should be available as a PRO reserve next week should anybody need a fill in.

Just shoot me a PM about info I need to know(car etc..) and preferably with a setup(so I can bolt it straight on and practice) but you can choose not to if you wish.

I had a blonde moment! :banghead:
Hey, be nice! Some of us might actually be blond :embarrassed:

So excited for the start of this series next saturday. My pace was looking really good for an AM driver when practising yesterday so I'm really looking forward to the race now.

Actually managed 2 57 laps in a row this afternoon
Now trying to do it again

Also need some stint training just to see how bad i get on worn rubber :scared:
Think i pitted 6 times for dmg last season and i am NOT doing that again

Keep out of the walls and only worry about heavy sprinting on the last 60-30 minutes.

Sounds easy enough.... thanks mate will do

What i mean is. If you can wait to sprint then you got something left in your pocket, and i just do not have it
2h sprint for me mate lol

Didn't you dominate among the AMs last season? But I guess there wasn't separate lobbys then so it didn't feel dominant. ^^

He won once, IIRC. He had some good consistency, mostly getting podiums. Both classes did race together back then.

Also since we're nearing the first race I just reread the rules and all that and found something I got a bit confused by:

11. Tyres

The tyres used will be the racing compound.

Medium (option)

Soft (prime)

Intermediate

Wet

You may start the race on any tyre compound, but you must also have qualified on the same compound.

During a full dry race you must use the prime tyre for at least 40% of the race. If the surface water indicator reaches above 25% then the track will be considered wet and you will no longer be required to run the option tyre

First I'm confused by the soft tyre being the prime and the medium being option, Isn't it usually the soft that is called the option? ^^

Then I'm confused by "must use the prime tyre for at least 40%".. Since prime is the softer, isn't that the one you'd want to do all race on. And 100% is at least 40% so that would mean you can do all race on softs?

Switcheroo made by the rulemakers, I'm sure.

It's a mistake.

Yeah I'm expecting as much, that's why I brought it to their attention, and everyone elses as well so that if someone have read it they will get the correction here. :)

@gtpcaine your blonde moment...... that is your life story isn't it??? :P

As for the tires above, goes to show how many people have read the rules properly  but yeah, the "prime" and "option" are clearly the wrong way round, the Medium is the "prime" and the "option" the soft as would be expected and the medium tyre must be used for 40% of the race distance 👍

On another note, I'm starting to feel a little gutted not having a PS and GT back up and running now that the season opener is just around the corner :ouch:

I will be keeping an eye on things and watching how you all get on, good luck to all the drivers, enjoy the close racing :D
