Just making sure
I am expecting a tough season which i am really looking forward to

Ok guys. Just to clear a few things up before the race tomorrow. Listed below is what I have just sent to all the race stewards for tomorrow, so some of the wording will be a little off for the 'general public' but you will get the idea!

Spec Checks
All cars must be running at the regulation PP. The cars have been spec'd at those PP's, not at a particular BHP value. The room will be set with a minimum weight limit of 1300kg. The SLS and GTR cannot get lower than 1350kg, so this will ensure everyone will be at the correct weight.
If a driver is under their PP limit, that is their fault. You can inform them, but they should be fully prepared before entering the lobby. The BHP values are just a rough guide to aid people when restricting engine power to get to their PP. The actual BHP values may be different for individual drivers based on where they have positioned their ballast.
Before qualifying begins, take note of what tyres each driver is on. They must start the race on the tyres in which they qualify on. Once spec checks have been done, anyone seen entering settings will be DQ'd from the race results.

Qualifying
Qualifying will last roughly 15 minutes. Room host will then drop off track, quickly check that everyone is still at the spec'd PP (incase they drop off track and enter settings during qualifying) and then record everyone's qualifying times. Drivers still on a hot lap at the end of qualifying may finish their lap, but may not start a fresh one.

Race Start
The driver on pole position will lead the cars around on the formation lap. The formation point for 2x2 formation, is the bridge before pit entry. The pole driver will take the left hand side of the circuit. The acceleration zone begins at the Supercheap bridge on the start finish straight.

Restart Procedure
Every driver is allowed one free disconnect during qualifying and one on the parade lap. Should a driver disconnect during qualifying, they may rejoin and continue their qualifying. If they disconnect on the parade lap, a full restart will take place. Any disconnects after the race goes green is tough luck for the driver.
If a driver disconnects from qualifying for a second time, they may start the race from last place, but do not get a free pass on the parade lap. If they then disconnect during the parade lap, the race will continue without them.

POST-RACE
First of all, make sure you all save the replay as soon as possible. Use this thread to discuss incidents found in the race. Should one of the stewards be involved in an incident, they may not be involved in the stewarding process for the incident in question. Each lobby has 4 stewards (including the host). Spread the work load equally (16 driver = 4 each, 12 = 3 etc)

Car Specs
Car specs should be checked via replay (turbo gauge/supercharger whistle and red-line rpm) to verify they are running correct engine parts. I will post more details on this before the race tomorrow.

Pit Entry

All cars must be fully to the left of the solid white merger line shown above. Any part of the car that crosses the line will result in a penalty.

Through the above chicane on pit entry, two wheel must be kept inside the track limit lines, as per standard racing regulations. If any part of the chicane is cut with all 4 wheels, a penalty will be applied.

All cars must remain to the left of the solid white merger line shown above. Any part of the car that crosses this line will result in a penalty.

Tyre Rules
The medium tyre must be used for a total of 50 minutes during the race. If a driver chooses the medium tyre for the opening stint, the 50 minutes begins from the time the pole driver accelerates in the AZ at the end of the formation lap. Not from the initial grid start. If a driver starts on softs, and uses the medium tyre later in the race, the time will start from the moment they leave their pit box after fitting the medium tyres, and will stop when they next enter their pit box.

It is highly unlikely that a driver will survive for the full 50 minutes in one stint. They may choose to do 2x25 minute stints back-to-back, or split their two stints with a run on soft tyres inbetween. This is the trickiest part of the stewarding process. As the tyre choice indicator on the live timing screen isn't 100% accurate as to which tyres drivers are currently using. Basically, you will have to check their tyre wear levels and stint lengths to determine which tyre they are using. Accompanied by driver race reports, where they are asked which laps they used the medium tyres on.

Other Incidents
Any other incident reported by the drivers race reports must be looked at by all stewards and discussed. Although there are two lobbies, and only 4 can view the replay direct. Myself and Matheus have a capture card, so we can record different views and post them here if further assistance is required from stewards from a different lobby. Once all incidents have been reviewed and decided, the results will be posted.

I think that pretty much covers most things. If anyone is unsure on anything, don't hesitate to ask. No question is silly... except stupid ones!

I'm scared now, haven't been able to practise for a couple of days and will be driving on an unfamiliar rig. Will be really hard to keep up with that pace. :embarrassed: still gonna fight for it though so don't think you've won yet ;)
Like I say mate the car at 1:56.2s is unpredictable so having to go back to a slower setup...

A heads up to everyone in the AM lobby. I'm on a slower connection than usual tomorrow so could someone please check if I'm insanely laggy during free practise. (Hopefully it's not that bad but it's a bit untested so I do not know yet).

Anyway! See you tomorrow night, really looking forward to it. :)

I'm all ready to go, the missus is satisfied with a fully home made lasagne cooked by me so she'll leave me to race tonight, had my beer already (it's my first full weekend off in a month) let's hope I can keep it out of the wall. Good luck to PROs and AMs
I really like the way you share your real life stuffs with ma'am. And I really like how you take this series seriously. Thumbs up for you 👍
