Rich what is your best time in Daytona??

If you have experienced the slow down before you should have said. Its very obvious when it happens, I got it at Grand Valley, Cape ring and quite a few of us experienced it at Monaco.
If its not patched today or soon we will have to reduce to 12 drivers which totally sucks

I think the best option is to get 24 signed up and split it into 2 divisions like the Jav's GT1 series.
Anytime we get a full 16 starters its an issue. The game seems to handle say 13 cars just fine. 16 though is certainly too much. Most of the races have either had less than 15 start, or 15 start then a couple drop out speeding the frame rate back up to normal. When we had 16 at Monaco all wanting to "go the distance" added with the update that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Rich- The problem is there is no way I have time to organise 2 divisions to the level that I have been running this one. I would have to select 11 drivers to carry on and the others could form their own league. It would suck to say goodbye to 4 regulars and both the reserves but if something isnt done by PD soon I may have no choice

Well is there an update coming today? Hopefully they spotted it and fixed it ASAP, but if not you'll have to make a choice.... I could host a GP2 if you needed. I dont see why it would have to have its own thread. Just redirect the 6 people over to my lounge for example or somebody else perhaps who could host for GP2. I'd post the results and just take complaints if anybody got out of hand. It wouldn't give the same steward quality as the F1 race, but I guarantee dirty driving would carry harsh consequences.
I've always been curious how the FGT handles on reduced power. I'd like to lower the power to say 800 hp & see if my times actually increase or possibly decrease at some tracks where my throttle control isn't good.

That is good say it me then, then we make good races.
I didnt reckon much to F1 2011 personally, the cars felt abit lifeless compared to gt5. If u want another racing game u shud try the WRC game, i play it on controller mainly but it is good fun on the wheel. Also i am able to make this weeks race if it goes ahead! Havent been on gt5 at all alately but im ready to get back into it.

here's my fastest lap in my first 50 lap test.Its by no means the best way to get around Daytona so use it as a guide only
I have played the demo of WRC game and it was great,i only got in the proper rythem you see the WRC drivers get into for about 30 seconds then lost it,very busy at the wheel to drive fast but very rewarding

Smithaz- We just got to hope the bug doesnt trash our race mate, I havent tried the WRC game. Monaco was a disaster with a lot of disappointed racers including me 👎

On second thought I guess I'd not prefer to be in the 2nd Div. if we have to go that route. But its certainly a decent alternative.
Anyways, I did Daytona Road course for the 1st time in the FGT. Very speedy track. Real life lap record: 1:39.195 Ferrari 333. The 1:17.9 that Pigboy did is 22 seconds up.
