FGTC OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the shock departure of the mighty RunFast Caterham may have benefited.
Ellisnutt has defected to Caterham leaving Red Bull boss fuming.
Caterham for S3- Ellis and Spurgey

I was literally laughing for 5 minuites after I put that
Would you like me to do a press statement? If you do send us some Q's ;)

Statement From FGTC Driver Ellis Nutt
Today after hearing the terrible news that runfast was unfortunalty leaving the FGTC, I recieved an offer from my current and was soon to be old team offering me a place. The terms of the contract were infact better than the one the RBR had offered so on that basis it was an easy move. Also having the opportunity to race with spurgy was a great opportunity and I think that it will make for a better season for myself. Now I know that changing teams is a rash thing to do but in my honest opinion it is better for me. I know for a fact that putting me and KJ in the same team could have ended up in what I would call 'an accident' which involves some form of impaling. But I digress. Another benefit to this move is that it puts the team in direct competition with the scuderia ferrari team, which does include my friend and old team mate. Which leads me to believe that this could be the best season yet. I do belive that that this has deffinatly become a 3 horse race for the contructers. Saying that though other teams do still have a strong chance of winning, which again is why I think that this could be the best seaosn yet. But although this season is at its end it is not over. I look forward to staying with the team, albeit under a different name. And also I look forward to seeing the track list for next season. It would be great if the FGTC board confirmed the first track for next season *cough* *cough*.

a sneak preview of the calendar may be issued later (after i have finished watching boxing vieos on youtube )

Sad to see you go Runfast, you were a real clean driver and an asset to the series, it's been a pleasure and we've had some good battles along the way. :(

Statement of the FGTC racer FloodMeister

As dissapointed as i am that my was to be team mate has left me, i wish the driver well as i would have dissapointed him with my unfortunit miss of the few races. And i hope that his team will concur great victory against the other teams.

End of statement

On the other hand i just got £20 for minding a 8 year old ( my cousin) for like 2 hours. With this money i hope 2 buy the one and only GT5

Peace,
FloodMeister

Rich- Maybe he can, I will get a list going of applicants but I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt have his hands full. I am still waiting on SkateNj's decision too. Nurburg I am getting better at but still waay off the pace.

Ellis- Quite...

Flood- Awesomeness mate, do what you can to get back 👍

Good to hear Flood 👍 :)

I, has a capital by the way :D mwahahahahaahaaaaa mini modding is fun. That obnoxious ass feeling is running through my fingertips  But I digress :D

EDIT:Bret you checked the indy series for people looking to join? Maybe another series could be asked? :)

Yeah, all those guys apart from two are in sunday series already. I dont want the two that are not
I asked JB if I could say something on the V8's and he didnt reply :( so I guess thats his way of saying no.
No panic anyway I get Pm'ed or posted for a spot every now and again, I have contacted the people who have already asked and skate is getting back to me.

berty I have a question why do you allow active steering and driving line , I can completely understand TC and ABS because both existed in 1990 but Active steering and driving line? :P I know it says don't complain about Skid Recovery force but this just makes the car easy and if you compare skid recovery and no skid recovery , your driving a different car. Well from arcade and simulation , that's how most would explain that aid.

I am interested on joining this series but I only have an FGT and its blue which is Williams or Redbull? I don't think there are spots available at the moment but I'd like to be a reserve driver or whichever is available. Mustard is a friend since early days of GT5 , maybe I have a chance to have a role in Williams team?

I allowed it at the start of the series and although people have asked this question many times I have consistently had 14-16 starters almost since the beginning of the series which most other series have not (I chose to have only 12 drivers for season 3 and the rest of S2 becuase of disconnect/lag problems). I see no reason to change a popular formula. I have compared SRF with and without and I can drive both quite well in the FGT (after a couple of practice sessions) however the problem area is in contact with other cars often in the first corner. Lack of downforce compared to the previous FGT's (GT4/3) is also a concern. Arcade and simulation is a matter of opinion as GT5 is not a simulator in any way just a console racing game.
On a personal level in regard to you joining this series, I dont think it would work for the following reasons.

You dont appreciate my settings (which are undoubtably successful in providing fast exciting racing and consistent, busy grids)
I have had to explain my settings ....again :(
I feel we would not get on (reading your posts) and with couple of exceptions my FGTC drivers and I race socially and not just in the championship.

Now I have 2 questions for you if you would be kind enough to answer them.
Why were you banned from GTP in your original incarnation as enzo309?

Also, how did you manage to get back on? I didnt realise you could just add an x to your username and start again.

I pulled your ban file from 'banned user log'
Enzo309 - 1st December 2010 - Claimed that his cousin works for "Pholony" as a main designer and threatened to have him remove moderation staff from the forums (despite the fact that we have no association with Polyphony - or Pholony, for that matter) for issuing an infraction against him. The moderators called his bluff by banning him for three days

Yes, thats the guy, he has a lot of opinions and is sticking to them. He was previously banned too, which I found interesting. I am off to look at the AUP.

Schwartz38
If people can't drive/don't like to drive without ABS turning it off will only make people mad an increase on track incidents. It wont improve gameplay. As much as anyone would like to think otherwise, GT5 isn't "The real driving simulator" it claims to be. It is simply a racing game with good gameplay. That is what keeps people coming back to play more. You must find the balance between realism and gameplay if this league is to work.

I think Schwartz38 sums this point up nicely (in bold).

It is pretty true that. Why make it 'realistic' when it stops becoming fun :)

A point well made.
I have had a PM from someone wanting to join but I will give it a couple more days then have some short races with them to make sure they are comfortable in traffic at 200 mph
