Hate this track mate and spoon is one of the reasons  its out of the way now. How was your first proper race? Hope you got some enjoyment out of it :D

Race Report:

AT the start I sure as heck didn't want to stick my butt onto the outside line heading into that first turn just so I can get punted into the damn hay-field so I cut straight too it and went a bit mellow through the S's with Pagey following me after giving the inside line. I saw Pagey dump down the order so I knew something was up behind.... After that Sandman battled me and we lost some time to the front 2. I forgot who else was up there in front of me...it escapes my mind but it boiled down to sandman and I after Sandman let a gap open to spurgey and we were out of his draft. I then got by sand and just drove a bit into the race....

On lap 20 or so I spun off on the dreaded turn 1 and lost about 7-8 secs which I made back by going crazy on the next stint. Somewhere towards the end I witnessed Berty clip the grass, slide out of control and crash super hard right before the final chicane. Nasty stuff.

On the last stint I came into the lead but my tires didn't hold up for long (mediums) & all I could do was watch spurgey calmly approach me, then rocket away. I must have lost the 8.9 secs I finished behind him in a matter of 2 minutes with those crappy GT5 tires.

I've got to win some races now, the gap has opened up. Spurgey is like the Seb Vettel of the FGTC. :) Another couple of 2nds or 3rds and I think my shot at the championship is done. Others are in huge trouble.

Was a close race there mustard, almost exactly the same as Rome, you pitted one time less than me so I spent the whole race trying to gain it back on you, so it was all down to the last couple of laps 👍 Was lucky I had newer tyres on. And my favourite track next, hoping to win it this time round and not get DSQ for not using mediums. :)

Was a great Race.
No testing and therefore a superb Q for me xD
1:29.5 as a Time without any pre-race testing.

Race:
I totally screwed my first stint (but me not alone with that) luckily I start with Mediums => no wasting of a Soft set

After Pitting on Lap 11/12 I directly did a 1:28.8 followed by a 1:28.2 again better times during race than during Q.
pitted again at Lap 24 and during that Lap I run wide twice -_-

I was "fighting" with the Sandcastle builder Sandman who caught me twice but "wasted" it in the following Sand-Trap xD
Lozzy and Indy where my main opponents though.
I screwed it bigtime at Spoon spunout reverse into the sand but my superb awareness let me do the only right choice: Reverse it into the Barrier because out there there is grass and no sand => grip xD (so I lost much but not that much time)

Pitted for the last time at lap 33. And that was my best stint. I was getting into a rythem and did great times (for me).
I closed the gap to Nethreal (who was struggleing at the beginning of the race too) and I thought I´ll get him. But he focussed and did great Times too and I saw I couldn´t get him => I calmed down a bit.
Logically I threw my Car into the DEGNER - Sand at Lap 43. Rhyf was directly behind me till finishline => I managed not to get lapped by you xD
I didn´t finished before the timer went to 0 (just 1-2 seconds more).
Final position 8th

=> I liked it was fun

Report:
It was a good race but I sense trouble from this track other than that I need more training with racing from you guys and tuning
1:28:8xx for TT but 1:27:xxx during the race :embarrassed:

The Race:
Good start, manage to squeeze my way to 6th but I was bumped from the back and knocked into the sand, upset by the hit, I quickly pull myself together and try to catch up and hope that the others crash as well, the goal was to remain consistent and not spin out which worked out until spoon curve on lap 10 (i think) and then a series a spin-outs from there on. Around the lap 20s I was losing hope, starting to get lapped and letting everyone else passed, which lead me to more spin-outs but I still pull through and eventually caught up to Lozzy and then a spark came in saying "Hey, Sakery hasn't lapped me yet, I can catch up to him" which didn't happen but I still beat Lozzy. Good Race, I hope to do better at Monza.

Starting Position: 8th
Finishing Position: 9th

Suzuka Rivals:
Sakery (partner as well)
Lozzy
Nethereal (at the beginning)
Ellis
and Floodmeister

Note: I tend to set up my personal rivalry to do better and this race or possibly the season was Lozzy (you should be honored) 👍

Indy, you got a great attitude mate. Pick someone who is near you in terms of pace and try to beat them. As you become more experienced you will move up the field slowly race by race 👍
Its tough with your timezone but you are welcome to join me for practice and I can help you with the tuning etc.

Its too bad Artmann cant race with us. He could replace Smart as my teammate if Smart cant race anymore.

He just missed 1 race, ill message him to see if he is still in.

Leaderboard/rankings/results all updated. Stewards and fastest laps still pending 👍

For me this was one of those races where you hate it and love it at the same time. Got a bad qualifier, being last, and I couldn't get my times under 1:29:000, when you guys are pulling 1:25-1:27. How the **** did you do that?

At the beginning of the race, I actually got to 3rd position, because I could make my softs last way longer, had about half left when the top guys pitted. THIS CAUSED MASSIVE PRESSURE TO ME. :grumpy: being right in the middle of the "Fast pack" and thus shattered my confidence and I made mistakes every possible corner. :ouch: after that, I thought to myself, "at least indy hasn't got me yet," lo and behold, he got me. :grumpy:

But it seems I found where I belong in the roster, around 7th-10th place, rivalling with Sakery, Neth, and Indy. what happened to ellis and flood though? Everytime i went past the pits they were in there.

Good race Lozzy, keep at it mate and the results will come 👍

We have a rule in the FGTC, if you cant finish the race or dont want to then park up in a safe place or retire to the pits. This way you still get your points for the position your in at the end.

:crazy:Immortal finished his 45 laps of Suzuka in the F10 championship in 1:08:29.

Spurgey finished at 1:07:40, I finished at 1:07:48.

Immortal would have finished 3rd in the FGT race in the F10 with no aids & no ABS.

Indy he is an INCREDIBLY fast driver, he can go faster than anyone in this championship by at least a second, and is dominating every championship he has entered.
But he is a pro-kart racer i think, and has raced with the likes of Michael Schumacher and Seb Vettel at a kart track in Germany. And is on GT5 for like 5 hours a day without fail, he lives on that game
We call him the robot, because he is so damn good

Brett why are the leaderboards so small? I can't see where i am
Oh and the lap record has definately fallen, but i expect 1 or 2 people may have pipped me to fastest lap :(

Oh damn if he can keep up with Vettel and Schumacher he should join the f1 circuit, surprise he didn't win the gt academy

I raced for almost 2 seasons and i dont know how they do it either
Good to see reports with no slow sceen syndrome

No mustard, he would of finished 4th behind Pagey, he was only 47 seconds behind. And how many times did he stop? He probably had a lot better tyre wear. :)

Rich- wow, he is ridiculous, I wonder how long until everyone loses hope.

Pagey- Make that 6 hours a day, someone quoted him admitting it in this thread!! Ill sort the images out, for some reason they are thumbnail size

PB- I found out where I was losing a lot of time (too late to do anything though) I think this track is too long for my tiny mind to cope with :(

Spurgey- Thats better, your brother obviously shares the same circuitry as yourself (bleep, whirr, bleep) :grumpy:

Race Report:

Qualifying wasn't amazing I put in a 1:27.7 not my best lap and started in 7th/8th I believe due to a gridspot penalty.

The race started on softs and I didn't get to bad off the line almost taking Ellis on the outside into the first turn. As we went into the S's it was very tight and close and a few people went off and I gradually went up the board. I remember having a good race with Rhyfelwr and Sandman on the first stint, very close stuff. Then I went sideways at turn 1 but managed to hold it and catch them back up. I pitted on lap 12 and put 20 litres in and on to mediums.

The second stint wasn't too bad putting in more consistent 1:27's and again I remeber having another battle for 4th with Rhyfelwr, great racing. I believe he pitted before as he was doing a more early 3 stopper and I pitted on the 24th lap and put 15 litres in and onto the softs again.

This stint was very good, putting in a few 1:26's and very good with the traffic. Not a lot of battle but I knew Rhyf was somewhere behind me. Then I believe I went off at spoon and lost 8-10 seconds, not good, and Rhyf took me and from then on the race was on. I managed to catch him up and pit on lap 35 and put the remaining fuel in.

The last stint was pretty decent no major crashes and I put consistant 1:27's in and tried to save the tires a bit. I crossed the line in 4th which was a very good position for me!

Great race and looking forward to Monza! Well done everyone. :)

Brett - The OP pictures have gone stupidly small and you can't see them. What have you done? :(

Nice report Etid, we did have a scrap early on but you were a bit quick for me to be honest. OP pics sorted 👍

You practiced just as much as I did  I had one short practice at the beginning of the week, and a long one before the race to try and sort my tyre wear :)
Edit: Will consider sending you my setup when I get back from college :)

Really?
I get that the last corner of the S'es you could do without brakes. I just wasnt brave/precise enough to go wide for the proper racing line. Suzuka just makes me nervous to push the car.

Updated Qualifying Results For Suzuka

I will never speak of this race again.

i think the track was trolling me

I could do the fast left hander after the main straight flat out too which could gain me at least half a second on people who couldn't, next race should be closer though, Monza is a lot easier 👍

SM- Bad day for McLaren, good pics though 👍

Spurgey- So could I but I got a shock when trying to do it in dirty air a few times
