Wasn't there a thing posted where Brazil has to choose between competing in Nations and Manufacturers?

Also, Fuvaros is winning, calling it now, everyone else who can compete with him is starting too low down on the grid. If I'm wrong I'll do a 6 hour endurance race in a SambaBus.
Refering to the bolded part, everyone that manage to survive luck fiesta on day1 and get into the top10 will have a proper 20min qualy session in day2 prior to first race, which is good of course. The tricky part is, that it seems it's going to be Alsace N500 qualy (I love the combo btw) and the cars for day2(race 1&2) will be awarded to the players on the last briefing of day1 completely random!

Apparently, there is simply not enough time to do it otherwise....

Random = fair for all the competitors confirmed

It sounds like instead of racing, they should just have the final 10 drivers play a few rounds of Blackjack

If only a solution that has been suggested by the community existed... *cough* *cough* ONEMAKE *cough* ahem... Sorry, bad cold

The problem is, some guys chances of surviving luck fiesta are pretty low, You and Lightning being examples unfortunately :(

Mate... Those combo's are pretty much "awful". The first round to determine the top 10 guys is alright in my opinion as Gr3 are pretty much almost balanced. But man... We are always saying that Gr4, GrB, Gr1 and the street cars are unbalanced as the current F1 season :)
But hey nobody wants to listen to us for having a fair competition

I don't get why they fly out 30 guys and "don't have time" to do things properly or fairly, like surely if you've already flown everyone out, taking an extra day or even a couple hours to make sure the bloody thing is actually fair shouldn't be a big ask... Its not like they'd need to broadcast qualifying.

and calling it now, the Manufacturers Final at the World Finals is gonna be a one day, few race event starting in a Final Season seeded grid order that's going to be completely eclipsed by the Nations Final in both promotion and race quality isn't it? Ugh.

You have to wonder what on Earth they are smoking with these combos. Asia/Oceania having the repechage at the worst race track in the game in extremely unbalanced N300 cars and Europe getting extremely unbalaned GrB cars at RBR. Don't even get me started on the complete waste of disk space that is Alsace. I'm now fully expecting Horse Thief Mile in N1000 cars for American Regionals at this rate!

Makes me glad I missed out in Nations. For Manufacturers the worst that can happen is they throw in a reverse layout, the car is obvious and something you've chosen anyway. No need to worry about a silly N class race which is 100% decided by car choice but pleases the old school GT crowd still living in the 90s
I’m loving the GT 90’s and I hate their combo ideas as well...

For the Asia finals the briefing document had the list of cars available for every race and we were told to prioritise cars in the list for selection because the top 10 would be making selections in the briefing room straight after the stream was finished. I agree it's unfair but it didn't take that long to do it. Completely random assigning of cars would be interesting but I don't really want to see luck play too much of a factor, unless the cars are genuinely even. At least the X2014 final race for double points is where skill will hopefully shine.

For me it's basically impossible to get in the world championship because if I make it to the repechage race I will start last and I would have to overtake 7 really fast drivers :D

The fact that the Repechage isn't at the very least seeded by your finish position in your block race is pretty silly

Imagine for a second, that someone goes from 10th to 3rd in their Block race but then has to start from the back again in the shorter Repechage race where people are less likely to overtake due to the slower cars... Absolute ascendant PD logic.

Oh yeah, lets not forget, that guy would also have the worst car in both races as well.

That's what I meant :D always nice to have a native speaker to help :D

Oh I completely missed that detail, it does say ranking again indeed so unless I get 2nd place in block race A, I will be punished again in repechage race with a bad starting position, damn:ouch:

At least the hotel is nice, will try to have fun and not think about the competition too much...

Very tempted to turn up to the World Finals with a written report that fundamentally breaks down why everything about their event format is stupid... and the Round 6 Top 24 Superstars slot machine which subsequently ended the season for some people because they failed an RNG check (never forget!)

Tough to do when the repechage combines two races. You'll have two guys that finish the block race at the same position.....seed by finish time then maybe? :D

EDIT: Nevermind, finish time in the block race would not work since all the block races are different.

How about, determine the repecharge groups based on ranking or however they did it originally, rearrange the grid based on their finishing position in the block race, tiebreaker is overall ranking. So if you had two guys in the same race that finished 5th in the block race whichever is ranked higher would start on the grid before the other.

3rd 3rd
3rd* 4th
4th 4th
5th 5th
6th 5th
6th 6th
7th 7th
8th 7th
8th 8th

*make this guy the 3rd place finisher from the lowest average ranking Block race, repeat for all other positions in order

and there you have it, an infinitely fairer grid system than the current one, now just make the race one-make and you have what we call "balanced"

As a viewer I am really looking forward to watching everyone race again, I am sure you will all get the best out of what ever you race with.

Above all have fun and the best of luck. :)

Morning fellas! I was wondering if someone who will be attending the event this weekend can do me a favor. I ordered the “Fan Kit” and unfortunately can’t attend the event due to a wedding. I asked if they can ship it to me but it seems like they can’t from the translation that I got. So, if whoever is going there could pick up my kit and send it to me I would be greatly appreciate it! I was in the Barcelona event for the wildcard and wish they had the fan kit there. I can send you the code and money for shipping and for the inconvenience. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me out! I know I would help out if I were attending the event. Thanks!

Something else to perhaps further back up this theory, my Japanese Manufacturer teammate also chose to not bother with Nations, and he's definitely committed to going to the World Finals.

I think Kerokkuma was unable to compete in the Nations Regionals because he wasn't free the days of competition (judging only by Twitter auto-translate here ). My Japanese teammate seems pretty clear he's competing in both Nations and Manufacturers for the World Finals.

At least the X2014 final race for double points is where skill will hopefully shine.

By then everyone in that race has already qualified for the Worlds so nothing is immediately on the line (except World Final seeding I presume). If they are so keen on car variety in Nations (even though Manufacturers exists purely for this reason) it should only be once everyone has qualified. Before then it has to be One Make to ensure fairness and integrity, otherwise why turn up and compete if it's 90% luck?

Also they really need to give greater notice to those competing about dates of upcoming competitions. Contrary to popular belief most top guys actually have jobs or studies . I believe they've already decided the World Final location and date so why not give all of us qualified for it notice so we can arrange time off in advance (also saves them a lot of money on flights the earlier they can book it!). I really need to arrange my time off work shortly and I'll have to rely on 'sources' this week which is ridiculous.

That's one of my doubts about entering these championships, not every job let's you take a trip to Las Vegas for a E-Sport Championship so close to the date it's supposed to happen.

"Hey boss in a few days i have to catch a plane to Nevada because i qualified in a Gran Turismo E-sport Championship, see you in a few days, peace out"
