What do you want for next season?

Thinking of having another go at an endurance series on Friday nights, but single class. (Like the GT500/300 thing I held a few weeks ago but with one class)

What do you think?

I like the multi-class part of it, it's just it wasn't good as a series, a one-off race would be better.

Two classes, a Skyline TC and a Civic RM would be the best combo, well, any RM or TC.:dopey:

Well, for multi class to work, you need a full grid.

I think I will do single class.

Would you want in on it?

http://tinychat.com/daxcobra <--- if anyone wants to discuss it.

Yeah, I tried another few as well.

The fact that we both wrote statements about running the same colour and model car obviously wasn't enough.

Haha waheeey Dax :D

So anyone else wanna viper

Been working on this for the last couple of hours.

It will show at the end of each Race Highlights video and I may use it for the points table.

YOU HAVE TOO...

That's better then the BBC's F1 points table which I presume it was designed to be like. 👍

Anyway gonna do some testing with all the cars now so my Viper preference may change.. Even though I love the sound at low rpm's..

Oh and happy march :dopey:

Thanks. :D

I did base it on their 2009 table, but it's shiner. :D

No problem :) and I will even though I spent 20 minutes at seasonals trying to get the money and then realised my B-Spec drivers were loaded :ouch:

EDIT: Turns out I had the wrong viper.. So this may sound 🤬..

May very well have a car change on my hands..

EDIT II: Results from winter testing at Tsukuba.

1. California. Fast enough on straights, faster in corners. Wipes the field in the last turn going from 2 tenths down to 3 up.

2. SLR McLaren. Looks like it will handle like a boat from roof cam. And it does, just it's a time trial boat. Points wherever you want it too, but can snap oversteer at any point.

3. Viper. Wasn't the one I thought it was, didn't sound good. Accidentally tested it with TC on so it can improve, only 3 tenths difference between it and the California after less then 5 laps each.

Car to be decided.

Would be nice for a bit of diversity, and the Ferrari isn't getting much love.

And, i hear ya on the SLR's bonnet cam.

You are Irish aren't you? Not even giving the English car a chance :P

Yeah, but I still don't know which I will chose. I'm quite keen to steer clear of the McLaren though because of that roof cam, and I'm bias towards the Viper because of the SRT10 ACR '08's sound even though we're using the 06..

It's between the Viper and the Ferrari.

Oh and if you want diversity you should put a limit on the amount of each car, like say 3 of each for now and if we get more then 12 committed drivers allow a 4th of each?

It would help get more of each car out.

EDIT: A_Higher_Place: I haven't got the DLC so I actually can't try it although it was one I was looking forward to driving.

I tested the 3 cars that I have and here are the times at Laguna Seca

I spent about 5 minutes tuning each.

SLR McLaren: 5 speed: 1:28.9 (not much left)

Viper: 6 speed: 29.6 (with .2 left on the track)

California: 7 speed: 1:30.4 (with .3 left at the corkscrew)

??? I'm lost at how the SLR can beat the 6 speed viper, it just has loads of grip.
The California may have had a bad tune (I think it, was good but others say the car is better)

Very different results to mine, but mine was just a basic out of the box run to see which I should start tuning to quicken my resting process.

What were you driving? It's ridiculously stable. You just can't stamp on the throttle out of 1st/2nd gear turns. Might have been my tune though. :P

This may be a good idea, except limit each car to 4 max- otherwise we may have a massive crowd of SLRs. :nervous:

I think it will depend on the track- I have a feeling that on tracks with a longer straight the Viper will come into it's own and on one with tighter corners the Ferrari will.

And I think one of the reasons it has loads of grip is the 5 speed box. 👍

When I tested I got them all within a couple of tenths of eachother.

All within 3 tenths here, with Ferrari a 58.9, the merc a 59.0 and the Viper a 59.2 :)

I think track and driver have a big impact on which is faster.

So for one person a car may be really fast but for another really slow.

Also, we need more California and V12 Vantage drivers! :embarrassed:
We already have 4 SLRs and 3 Vipers (if matty uses it).

Last test today and i'll decide if using that lovely Ferrari ( i wanna see my lap times on Laguna Seca )
