 My biggest mistake is showing up thinking I wont finish last

Hey Joe, the OP is off again. It says Motigi is the next round and not Nurburgring GP/F. It's going to have people practicing for Motigi instead of Nurburgring. :)

I'm already in the 1:54.9's with the Audi R8 and Ford GT (That car dominates turns). The Audi has too much power. The handling is already bomb, when I speced the cars before the top speed was a lot slower because there was minimal difference between full downforce and medium downforce on the top speed. Something like 2-4mph. So I bumped the Audi up with Turbo 3 AND Engine Stage 3 to help it reach it's top speed faster, even though it was lower. Now it's a bit different. The Reason the Citroen was with the Audi at Spa is because the straights are longer and the draft is a lot easier. You can run lower downforce there anyway. The Panoz has a high top speed naturally, so Spa would be a good track for it, as would Monza and La Sarthe.

Now that this series is taking off we need to setup some polls. The 1st will be to race this event every week verus bi weekly? And then secondly we need another poll to figure out race distance for the 2nd race. Clearly no one has a problem with racing 20 laps for the 1st race, but we keep losing drivers for race #2, so I'm thinking race #2 should be the length of or longest pit window which would be 12 Laps. I believe we should run this and see if the gmt guys can make race 2 if its only the length of 1 stint of tires. With that plus the fact we moved th whole series sooner by 1hr I'm hoping we can complete the whole session. Once we get all this figured out then we can talk about making this a series or keeping it a no commitment spot races series? Also with the problem of the Audi's I do fill Johnny B & Memto or superfast so we need to induce a success ballast of some sort to bring te pack closer together. I'll beworking on a couple of ideas to fix that this week.

Make race 1 a qualifying race of one stint, and race two double length. So 10 laps race 1, 20 for race 2?

I'm down for that but do we set the room to rev grid, or regular grid for the Main Race? We would have to ask the front runners what they prefer?

I think a shorter 1st race with a longer second race would be cool. Reverse for the main race would add a cool element for sure!

For Grand Valley:

R1- 10 Laps- no stop
R2- 20 Laps- 8-12 stop window

Also, you said something about knock out qualifying... But we had a normal session?

If we did a knockout qualifying, you could do 10 minutes and after that everyone pits and the leaderboard shows who's top 5 or whatever, then they get another 5 or 10 minutes to post the fastest laps for pole-5th.

Because we have only had 9 to 11 drivers per session, I set the qualifier to F1 style P2 session of 15 mins to determine the race grid because of time constraints. I would like to run an actual F1 style qualifier with the knockout guys watching. Sounds entertaining. I definitely need to setup a room so I figure out how to run this with the less problems possible. Time is of the essence here'

-Op Updated with adjustments, but still awaiting new car pics. My ps3 froze on me at 1am and it is amazing how much time op building and management consumes time!

The points on the main page are from the successful QR and MR races. I also tried to give pts to the drivers that participated but were disconnected mid race. The Audi is still fast at 463hp but we will have to add a success ballast to the extremely fast guys some how. This series is getting exciting and I wouldn't mind moving this over to a series in the near future once we have a race format and time slot that most drivers agree with. Right now the 1st race is the shorter one at 50km roughly 10 laps, and the MR being 100km roughly 20 Laps. This should do it for now and I hope we could bump up from 150km total distance to 200km total distance once this series gain its full potential! 👍

Just so as not to cause you to much of a head ache joe me and jonnyb are gonna run the Mazda rx8 next round

Also just a quick note on the points page... It says 6 races but we have only run 5 (unless your just counting gvs as 2 races) and also Callum got 2nd in the first race of spa

Don't worry about that its my responsibility as host to make whatever car changes a driver needs. Now that the op is in its final stages its not that complicated to make changes. 👍

I guess I should change the title to provisional overall points for now. I wrestled up all the replays I had,. well at least the ones that were of 12 laps are longer to get the race results. I may be lacking one here or there but I will make the adjustments and re check my archives again to make up for any slippage.

As there are 4 others in the Audi I shall swap to the Ford GT Test Car. Is that alright Joe?

Only allowed 3 driver's per chasis. If there are 4 driver's for the Audi, then one needs to pick another car.
Also guys, you need to stick to the cars you picked. We chose cars at the begining and we are well into the series. You all need to finalize car choice by thie next race. Seth buddy, you too. :)

Pluxtheduck you can swap to the Ford GT Test car and make sure this is your choice.
Joe could you make the change for Plux? Thank you, :)

Well I didn't turn up till Sunday and on the list I am the 3rd Audi driver. What I am saying is I will change over as I like both cars equally. There is no need to get grumpy at me man, I was being courteous...

I'm not grumpy at anyone. Nothing that I said had any implication that I was grumpy at anybody. With you in the Audi that would have made 5 Audi driver's. There are still 4 Audi drivers left and the OP states 3 driver's per chasis. One of the Audi drivers needs to make another car choice. I am a steward and I was just making a statement.
Did the words in bold make you think I was mad? They were just for an eye catcher. I took it off. lol

That fine man... I was just saying that I would have been fine to run the Audi anyway as in the sign up list a I am listed 3rd but I wanted to make it simpler by swapping over to the GT because I was aware of the rules

Thanks for switching, but if you were 3rd to sign up for the Audi, then the last 2 guys to sign up for it need to change cars. If you choose to change cars, one of the 4 Audi drivers left needs to pick another car. :)
Thank you for reading the OP, some just don't. lol

I was going to run the Panoz, but I don't have one that's able to meet minimum weight anymore so I'll stay with the Citroen unless I can find it.

Tnt & Plux conversation just reminded me that I need to re filter the drivers list due to no shows. Same thing happen on the Jstc grid. I'm thinking we might need to run 2 sets of car teams due to popularity and griding (16 spots/full grid). We could have a works & satellite team.

-Thoughts on this plus racing everyweek? I want to hurry up and get a format setup. Smells like this is going to turn into a series.

just to clear this issue up with plux, the other audis were people that turned up at different races, there isnt 4 audis on track it just happened that people turned up for one race in the audi and didnt show up again, im now 100% running the mazda RX8 so as far as i know, no one is now driving the audi.

and im ok with racing every week but it might start getting a bit to much on one weekend since we want to get the WEC up and running fairly soon
