Final Quick Match Races 2-7-18

You're right, he is an embarrassment - you get used to seeing some countries with a proportion of dirty drivers, but Canada has never been one of them.

That's just it... I drive to the best of my ability and as cleanly as possible because people can see the flag beside my name. Every time you go out, you represent your country. Certain cars I have dressed up in red & white to add to that idealism. I honestly strive for one thing... if you see my name, you'll be in a good race. That's what I hope people will think of me anyways.

I try to give people chances because sometimes it's just a bad connection... but people like that who are blatantly bad or dirty deserve what people think of them. I notice flags first, then the names. If I see a certain flag, I'm already on guard, expecting certain "styles" of driving. If that person is exceptionally bad, then I'll remember the name as well. 3 major strikes get them blocked, which usually works for never seeing them again.

I don't care if I win or lose. I'd rather lose in a good, close race than win in a bad race, which includes landslides. I've met some great players from all sorts of countries through the Quick Matches, and when I see them, I'm looking forward to what I know is going to be good. Sadly, I've met way more bad apples and I can only block 50 at any given time.

If people would drive thinking they're representing their country first, you'd probably see a lot more pride going into their racecraft. For me it's GO Canada. The last thing I want people to think is GO away Canada... ;)

Cheers

I was a half year ago with a dutch 🤬. That was on Tsukuba. He push me of the track and says: Hhaha i'm better then you. The first thing that i did was ignore that asshole, The race after i destroy him with clean racing, Point is: Ignore that ****ers. No matter from what country they comes

Every country has assholes.

Has anyone been able to run any clean laps yet in the 350 pp event? I haven't yet from people in Beetles trying to play bumper cars with my Ram, but I do think my pickup is just as fast as some of the cars that can fit in the bed of my truck.

Yea iv had a couple of good races, very clean which helps get your lap time down, plus I do like the 350pp events.

Haven't tried the new QM's yet. They came up just as I was signing off to get some sleep. Tomorrow night I'll be in there.

Only just saw your post about half hour ago so fired up the ps3. So far Ive only been playing the VW event (GT24) .
having a blast so far & won a few. my car seems fairly setup from a previous event ,handles pretty well except wheelspin right up to 5th gear..
I'll give the other new races a go tomorrow .

Best time I've done round Silverstone 3m; 31s

Pardon my double post action but…

@bone_tone and @kilesa4568

My connection stinks lately. Pardon any mistakes please. I finally had enough of watching people peel out and fly all over the place. And the last disconnect was enough to call it a day. For now.

I had a recent QM race where it appeared that most of the field started a second before I got the start signal. Since there appeared to be no penalties, I attributed it to a bad connection issue.

Man that Pjc141 guy is wreaking havoc in the QM's! I lost my cool and went backwards when he did to try and keep him from taking out the leaders. Ended up making it worse.

Smh.

Picturing a 12 year old wearing his sisters underwear and playing GT6 in the basement with Taylor swift posters in his room.

He's been my nemesis since the trial mountain 500pp race years ago. As soon as he sees me enter the room, he stops on the track to try and wreck my race but since I learned the pause trick, he's no longer a problem. It might cost you a place or a good lap time but it's worth it to see them fail lap after lap. Don't forget that even if he's sat on the exit of a fast turn, you can hit pause just before the corner and the game will get you round the corner without flying off. As soon as you're level, un-pause straight away to keep some of your speed and it leaves them floundering.

I'm only doing the Suzuka race out of the new batch so hopefully I'll see some of you on there. My laptop died (R.I.P.) last week so I'm in limbo and can't reply till the end of the month when I put a PC together.

I've done a dozen or so races there. First race got smoked, worked on the car between each race and got it much faster.

It liked a flipped gearbox of course, dampers 2/7-10/4, Springs I can't remember off hand, but I went WAY softer in front and a couple numbers stiffer in back. I also added 3 degrees of negative rear camber, toe at -10/.00 and front ride height 10mm higher than the rear, sway bars at 7/7.
Steers really well now.

I've been running in 350PP QM, trying out all my pickup trucks that I can get down to the PP level. It's a blast running a bright pink Toyota against all the VW busses and Elise in this one. I still haven't been able to get anywhere near the front of the race, but fun none the less...lol

I had the pleasure of racing with Vanessa6_6_6 AND pjc141(Canadian)a night or so ago. That was interesting.

He took anyone leading out if he didn't have first place. She is a better driver, but just as much of a nincompoop.

Blocked them both, even though she was the only one sending nasty messages after I brake checked her in return. lol

I hate when I let them get under my skin. Leaving straight away from now on.
I came across your best mate the other night, I started from poll and by lap 3 had a 5 second lead he was parked on the last corner
Managed to miss him but on last lap BANG! I got a 6 second penalty & lost the race by 3,10ths,everyone did the exit I did it last
Apart from me & him so I did the exit,so he was on his own playing with himself, lol

I kept ghosting thru Pjc141 over and over last night and the few races he actually tried to race he was left in the dust all but one.
Had a Brazilian guy try and brake check me on the straight. He missed.

That was fun! My Elise 00 is dialed in now. I added max ballast and no chassis lightening so it can use 100hp. Reaches 103 mph on the front straight!

Thanks for the tip. I adjusted my Elise '00 and managed to hit 104 before braking. My best total time was 4:41.068 (fastest lap 1:07.xxx). That beat an Elise 11R by ~4 sec.

Now I will go back to trying other vehicles like the Elan.

Another character to watch out for is sunrizer11. He/She likes to park near the apex of the first corner.

It's something to try on every car in low PP matches. Some cars handle worse and the power to weight ratio worsens with added weight. The Elise likes the weight and the power to weight ratio gets better and better with added ballast and a heavier chassis.

I've tried other cars and they are fun to drive. But the Elise has been the fastest by far. I switch back and forth depending on my mood, fun driving and banging, in traffic, or being and the front contesting for wins. :)

There is an interesting tune for the Toyota Prius G '09. I'm away from my console ATM camping but will check it out late Sunday. I've seen a couple of drivers in it cut some 1:06's W/O draft. So if they were legit there is a secret combo for some real power in the ballast /power settings.

I've managed to get an Elise '11 to run in the 1:06's up front, it is a blast to drive and quite forgiving.

I've also seen a Prius G '09 run a 1:06.xxx. I've yet to be able to get below a 1:07.xxx in any car.

Didn't take long for some GSXRs to start showing up and running low 1:05's. smh

Had Mr Hack Pjc141 in the room again. He attempted about 30 take outs and brake checks. His record against me under my back up handle was 4 hits and 26 misses. I ghosted thru him so many times he started trying to race me while a lap down and side swiping me, but I just pulled away cuz he sucks so bad.
I was rolling, actually started to feel sorry for him, then he left. Not really....Haha

I ran my MX5 tonight quite a bit and won a Bunch of races with it. But it's a second a lap slower than my Elise's are.

Prius seems to have a high top speed - even with drafting it's not always possible to keep up with it on the straights. Most running the GSX seem to have a lower top speed, but better handling through the bends.

I've been trying lot lots of Ff and 4WD vehicles around 950kg to 1080kg. Plus a couple of heavy oddballs like the Toyota Voltz and Honda Odyssey!

Suzuki Alto Lapin Turbo was a fun drive last night. Audi A2, 1980s Civic 1500, VW Lupo and Polo, quite a few heavier Kei class vehicles tune up nicely.

51:49 or even 50:50 wrought distribution works well but you must be delicate worth DS3!

The great thing about this event is the wide variety of cars that you come up against, many of which have a chance of winning.

I've been having some success with the VX220 myself - never saw another one until the last few days, some that have been in rooms with me have now decided to try it!

I think someone may have twigged that nobody will stay in a room with her any more - I came across a German player tonight, with a new girly handle, driving a suspiciously fast pink car in an uncompromising manner......

I was in a few races with a VX220 last night. It seemed pretty quick. Don't think it was you though. There was a Toyota 2000GT that was nippy as well. I was mid-pack in a Renault 5 Turbo having lots of fun, but couldn't keep up with the Elises and their like. It was remarkably civilised. Perhaps I've been lucky but I haven't come across any real nutters yet.
The night before I had a few great races with a German in a Stratos. All the really fast cars left at once leaving just the two of us battling for first place and a few stragglers. I think it was a draw.
