yes!

Guys, I want a play by play report of the ENTIRE trip!
Maybe one of you could keep a journal/diary?

So this is the first time I've done this, and I have a couple questions about the affidavit for anyone with more experience than myself:

1. I'm away at college, so do I put my college address or my permanent home address?
2. Do I need to sign the affidavit before going to have a notary sign it or does the notary need to be present when I sign it?

Thanks in advance!

What is registered with your PSN Account name? or use the more reliable mail address.

Good Luck!

For those that were curious, my itinerary says that the general public are not allowed at the event.
Is that in the word doc they sent? I was looking for info on that but still don't see anything. I wonder if yours is different from mine.

Wow, interesting. This is what mine says in that area lol:

COMPETITION OVERVIEW, RULES and REGULATIONS:

  • Contestants will race in GT5 Racing pods equipped with Logitech Driving Force GT wheel controllers (Dual Shock controllers will not be allowed).
  • Contestants will be assembled into groups of 4 to compete in 4 on 4, head-to-head races. A qualifying race before each round will determine the pole position and other start positions for the first event.
  • Each round will consist of three online race events. Competitors will earn points based on finishing position in each event, in his or her group. Points are awarded as follows-
    • 1st place: 6 points, 2nd place: 3 points, 3rd place: 1 point, 4th place: 0 points
  • After all groups have finished their race events, the four contestants with the fewest points among all contestants will be eliminated from the National Finals. The remaining contestants will advance to the next round.
    • Round 1: 8 groups of 4 contestants. The bottom 4 contestants will be eliminated.
    • Round 2: 7 groups of 4 contestants. The bottom 4 contestants will be eliminated.
    • Round 3: 6 groups of 4 contestants. The bottom 4 contestants will be eliminated.
    • Round 4: 5 groups of 4 contestants. The bottom 4 contestants will be eliminated.

    • Tracks, numbers of laps, cars and car setting will be determined prior to the start of each round. All competitors will be using the same car and settings as determined by officials.
    • Races will be monitored by race officials during the competition. Warnings and disqualifications will be issued for any unacceptable racing behavior such as:
      • Any driver that is overly aggressive or hits another driver
      • A driver deliberately cutting a corner
      • Any driver deemed to make a deliberate attempt to cheat
      • Also note: a slower driver that is holding another driver up can be asked to move over

      • At the completion of Round 4 of the National Finals, 16 contestants will remain and be eligible to be National Finals winners. These 16 contestants are subject to background and medical screenings to advance to the GT Academy Boot Camp at Silverstone where they will face a weeklong series of driver training, physical and mental challenges. This includes going behind the wheel of actual Nissan cars to practice and prove their driving skills.

Has everyone gotten their itinerary? I've sent in my Affadavit and gotten a call from the Travel Agency, but have not received any confirmation from PrizeLogic or GTAcadamey. Any1 else in the same boat?

If you have received a call from the travel company then they got the paper work. Check your spammage folder. I wonder if I can bring the other half with me?

I was actually wondering the same thing. In the rules it looks like no general public...not sure if wife/fiancee/girlfriend/chick on the side/etc. are included in that.

Either way I don't know if my wife can make it happen. After taking a week off to go skiing this week, I can barely justify making the finals myself - never mind my wife, who would only go to watch/get tan.

EDIT - when is everyone arriving? My flight lands at 4:30. I'm also peacing out super early on Thursday morning.

The travel company is still working on setting my return flight up, but I'll be landing there early afternoon (1-ish if I remember right).

Very cool to see a lot of people from GTP going to the Finals. Hopefully one of you win, that would be pretty awesome.

Blindside good luck to you in finals bro.Your my pick since you are close to my home town and you race at f1 boston. Practice practice practice.Represent bean town well .
