Finally finished GTWC

I finally finished GTWC. Wasn't easy even with a group C car.

I ran the Jaguar XJR-9 with RM on the front and RH on the rear. Ran most of the races without the turbo upgrade though i did put that on for sarthe.

I ran against

Toyota GT-ONE (think this AI got a turbo upgrade as he was usually right behind me, can pull corners faster than a group C car)
Gillet Vertigo
BMW Maclaren F1 LM
Chevy Camaro LM
Chaparral 2D

I lucked out and did not get another group C in the field (usually you do on this one)

the only car that was a challenge was the GT-ONE, he did finish ahead of me on 2 races since the GT-ONE is much easier on on tires than a group C car. The only races he was able to beat me on where the ones that I couldn't do as one stop races. I think this GT-ONE got a turbo upgrade as he was almost as fast as my Jag in the straights

Well done. However, I would echo what the guy above me said, no group C and only two serious Le Mans prototypes. That is a weak field.

Put it this way, a 'strong' field would be a field where a Toyota Minolta came home in 5th position. That's what happened in my first race in this championship earlier today (he was beaten by a Jag, a 787B, a Sauber, and me).

Ha! You had it EASY! This is what my draw looked like:

- Sauber C9 Mercedes
- Pescarolo Courage C60
- Audi R8
- Minolta 88-CV
- Jaguar XJR-9

And then there was me in my BMW V12 LMR. Every race was even harder than the one before, but I won all except Opera Paris (forgot to change R4s to R1s between Qualifying and Race and ended up doing the last three laps on my wheel rims) where I came third behind the Pescarolo and R8 (Sauber and Minolta had a spin on Lap 13 and never recovered). I nearly lost at La Sarthe as well when five of us pitted in on Lap 3 of 4. The Minolta skipped its last stop and spun at Arnage.

I should do a write-up ...
