Seeing as standard cars have been upgraded a lot visually, they're not seperated anymore! This can be seen in the dealership screenshot:

The Hommell is a standard car,and is probably not upgraded to premium.

You can also see in the Garage screenshot that there's no ''standard'' tab:

Are you happy about this or not? And why?

I'm personally very happy about this. Absolutely hated the standard/online dealership mechanic in GT5.

I wonder if it will tell if cockpit view is available or not.
At first I thought you were joking:lol: But of course you have a point. With the separation between S/P gone, unless you have the car list from GT5 memorized, how you will you know if you are buying a former "standard" without a cockpit or a true "premium" with a full cockpit? Let the drama begin!!

Humm... I did mention numerous times here in this same forums that I'd prefer if PD kept the Standards away from GT6, however as they are indeed including them, I'm quite happy that they decided not to separate the cars in the dealerships, one of the things that put me away from the standards in GT5 a bit was that only the most common models were readily available whenever you wanted. Having all of them in new car dealerships makes them much more enjoyable to me.

PS: Loving the new forum layout BTW. 👍

I'm absolutely happy that all cars are in one dealership now, as well non of them not being labeled as premium/standard and not seperated from each other. That was one thing I completely disliked in GT5, and glad it's been resolved. This was one of the news I was really happy about, and still am too. :D

When you get to the car screen I'm sure you'll be able to tell if it's a 'standard' or premium.

Veterans from GT5 should be fine but new comets to the series who don't know the dramas from GT5 might get a surprise or two

Anything that speeds up the buying of cars, parts etc is a welcome addition. Pressing 7 or 8 buttons to do a simple task was tedious. Hopefully everything has been streamlined and improved.

I may be the only one, but I can't stand seeing Premiums and Standards together, it just looks wrong. I really hope there is a "Standards/Premiums only" Filter.

IF they look a hell of a lot better, then I may be okay with it.

It eliminates the need for me to enter and exit a race 5 times then back out to cycle the used car dealership just in hopes that I MAY get a Cuda or other car I'm looking for, and that on the off chance that a car I want/need does come up, is it going to be in the specific color I need if it's a car I'm collecting every color, and when it's a car like the Cuda with it's like 27 different colors and all I need is one or 2 specific ones, the chances are so friggin slim.........I've been doing this daily almost since GT5 came out and I still only have 4 colors of the Audi R8 LMS (STILL want yellow SO bad) and if I see "Sepenblau Perleffekt" one more time on an Audi R8 LMS I'm gonna go coukoo for coacoa puffs...............so for me this can only be a good thing.

I appreciated though, GT5's almost RPG like grinding for the avid collector such as myself. Seeing the Snow White Cuda pop up in the UCD was a gaming thrill like I don't think I've ever had before. It was like seeing the greatest weapon I've ever seen drop in Diablo which is so amazing it looks like it's hacked but it's a totally legit god-level weapon no one's ever seen before. It was great, though frustrating. But it was fine for a game that's had legs (and very little competition for GT fans) for 3 years. But GT6 is a different animal in that it's pretty much the last huge PS3 game. GT6 really has no potential for long-term "legs" they way GT5 had. It just doesn't have the time. It needs to be a fully developed product at launch that doesn't need fixing, and it needs to have the immediacy in the collecting so gamers can drive and customize what they want, when they want, and not have to spend months or longer grinding for one specific car.

Because I'm sure I'm not the only one here that's putting off moving on to PS4 for GT6 on PS3 even though I really want a PS4. So it makes sense that PD makes GT6 to cater to everyone. It has to have all the content of GT5 plus more to have all the enjoyment you want, but all of it available right away for purchase in game so you can get your $60 worth in a couple/few months if you want to rush it and move on.

My personal plan is to stick with GT6 at least until all the DLC has been released, then move on to PS4. That could change as the right games are announced or release for PS4, but for now I think I can do without next-gen for about a year or so.

We already know the cockpits will be "simplified", probably no different from how they were in GT5.
I thought what dr_slump was asking was whether GT6 would tell you whether you were buying a premium or standard interior.

What I'm confused about is whether there will be used cars, or cars with higher mileage that could be cheaper.

Can't figure out how it'd go either way. Because of there are no more used cars, then essentially it'll get rid of 0-0-0 rarity since all cars will be babies, even the really old classics, which would be kind of strange I suppose.

But then on the other side of things, if there are still used cars, how would they fit into the new UI? Maybe there'll be an option between buying new or used.

Yup.Standards and premiums will be in the same garage (we knew this for awhile). If you look at the Lamborghini dealership, it looks like they intentionally put the standard model (Nomad Diablo) in the next window.. That is if it is a standard and haven't been upgraded.

I think they will have upgraded the Nomad Diablo. They seem to have given a lot more attention to Lamborghini so I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to make them all premium. :)

Is the 25th Anniv. Countach premium now also? If not it's there on the same page as the premiums with no distinction that I can see.

EDIT: Tree'd

But one of the Countaches wasn't upgraded and it's in the first page and the dealership is organized by PP

63 Lamborghini Countach LP400 ’74
Didn't notice they were organized by PP though.

They could be reverting back to the Dealership specific Used cars like they had in previous GTs.

I don't think they intentionally put it on page two because of that. Why?
First, they are organized by pp and the nomad is a race car, high pp. Second, the aventador it's on page two too.

Most likely. And I sure hope so.

If i'm not mistaken in gt2, where you had used cars in the relative dealership, they weren't 0-0-0 and they had the same car with different prices depending how much miles were on it.

I can understand why some people may mourn the loss of the UCD stuff but there's cars in GT5 that I haven't even seen because of it. So for me it's a welcome thing to be able to go and find the car I want.

Part of the reason I got so bored with GT5 really.

Considering how awful GT5's system was set up (30 cars at a time out of 830 that rotate daily; with horribly inflated prices, unrealistic mileage and no correlation between age and their appearance in the UCD since it really was just a Standard dumping ground) and how few cars could really be stretched to be considered "new" based on the car list thus far, I don't see this as anything but a bonus. There were very much ways that PD could have made buying used cars far more user friendly and logical (for example, making it a car dealer for old cars rather than poorly model cars), but "no more used cars" would kill a lot more cynicism from people burned by GT5's system than "improved used car system" would.

If i'm not mistaken in gt2, where you had used cars in the relative dealership, they weren't 0-0-0 and they had the same car with different prices depending how much miles were on it.

There was no mileage system in GT2, so the different prices were essentially random; but that is probably what they were trying to evoke.
