I've been waiting for an awesome massive open world free-roam sandbox type of game to come that has great graphics and physics. I give TDU props for taking a go at this, however like most say, the physics and graphics are what killed it for me. The idea of a free-roam open world driving game would be the best type of driving simulator for me. I would love to go online and gather up with some friends for a car meet, and then off to cruise around a beautiful island/city. I was hoping that the next Gran Turismo would offer this type of game, if not Forza. Hell I'd take both! I'm all for an open world driving simulator! Racing on a track is so repetitive and gets boring quickly for me. I love to have freedom to drive where I want and how I want. Unrestricted! There are a lot of online lobbies in GT5 and Forza 4 where people like a more casual experience, such as cruising around or just taking a casual drive, and thats where I think these type of games will shine and shed a whole new light to the series. Please make it happen.
Some ideas of where I'd like to have it:
The Big Island (Hawaii). Would make an amazing scenery and visual for driving and offer a lot of great places for taking photos. I would love to have Forza Horizon take place here. I know TDU already was based in Hawaii, but that was on the island of Oahu. Plus the graphics in TDU were a let down. If Forza can pull it off in the graphics department with breathtaking and realistic scenery of the island, then this game would be stellar beyond belief.
