Can I get a rule clarification ?
With my Spec class tune , can I specify the exact same tyre to be used at both tracks ?
Or , must I specify two different tyre choices ... one for each track ?
Thanks Otaliema , I appreciate all that you are doing.

You must change tire compounds for each track. EG Comfort Soft on one and Comfort medium on the other. This rule was put in place to keep it the same across all classes due to the pro spec being forced into new tires with the dirt/tarmac switch.

No biggie either way, prefer STI but will take either :dopey: can finish near the bottom with either :D
 your better than that just don't over think it ;) honestly gt working on an Evo three tuners in front of you and 1 STi spot left = very low chance @Motor City Hami might consider doing this as well.

@JackWilson has not responded yet and has been away for several days from the site, so he might not get his free choice which would than be givin to another tuner so might lucky there but still have all of today before that happens.

So, I pick CS for Valley and SH for Tsukuba, other tuner picks SH on Valley and CS for Tsukuba. How do you compare times on different tires? Sorry if this is clear for everyone except me.

That's part of the tuning challenge picking the tires you want for the track get it right and you will do well get it wrong and you will fall behind, just like in real life having the correct tire is a big part of how well you do on track day.

I must have missed that part, I thought it was same tyre for both tracks?
Certainly sounds even more interesting using different tyres though, good to know before getting the car too focussed on a particular grip level.

Hmmm. Curveball anyone?

I think this will come down to whichever tyre offers the most grip in the wet.

It's under blanket rules for all classes in the main post. Tire compound change required.

Maybe....
It might just have a significant impact in your combined time.

Yeah I saw that but I thought it was just for the Rally cars (mandatory dirt tyres). Do we pick our compounds or are they pre-determined?

There is a tire limit listed for each class. SH for Spec Street and SM for Street Racers. You can pick any tire you want up-to that limit for which ever track you want.
You are also allowed to change any ONE SETTING with in the tune as long as it's not a part change. *aside from tires*

Edit; I changed the terminology in the main post from Blanket Rules all classes to Global rules all classes to hopefully avoid any future confusion

OK. For example in pro street the limitation is sports medium. So I can choose sports hard for one track the sports medium for the second or it has to be sports medium and a comfort tire?

Up to you which tire compound you choose, just as long as they differ.....SM&SH, SM&CS, CS&SH....SM the "softest" compound that you can use. Hope this clears it up for you.

Great question.
