FITT Ford Challenges by MCH

Sure ya can it will just drive you batty if your not there already. :lol:
Anyways what I meant was brake earlier than you are currently not by much ten meters or so that will set you better for the turn not so close to the edge.

Ahh so many options that just about every car is different?
I use driving line to my advantage, this makes it really easy to adjust braking points on the fly by altering how far you go into the red zone. Its just that the track takes no prisoners and instead of having a slightly slower lap as a result of getting a little bit sideways on the grass or tapping a wall you have a massive spin and end up 3 corners away and upside down. :lol: I've got to push every car as hard as I can, when doing this its only a matter of time before you put a wheel on the dirt

We definitely can't say that your not giving it 110%. Enjoy testing all those horses, Try and return my car back in one piece though, I put a lot of effort and care into that car :)

I just need to quit driving this car now, or is it driving me? :boggled:

I have rolled......uh hem.....I mean, went off at that spot myself. Did not take a pic as I do not want the reminder.:irked:

Does anyone else just keep their foot down when they end up heading for one of the raised banks?

I just kind of figure that the lap is already gone by that point so I might as well have a hilarious accident :lol: GT just doesn't know what to do with the cars when they leave the ground
I love the invisible walls on the outskirts of the track. I tried driving along them deliberately once but it didnt work that well. I just bounced up and then landed on the roof.. Still, it amused me for about 2.5 seconds.

Yes i did quite a lot..it's a good way to get rid of your frustration when you keep coming off at the last corner..i just turn the car around and head full speed towards the big white Toyota Shed...lift off is Epic...But the best take off is where DaBoom4 crashed....if you hit that big mound with the little green tank on it..you can fly all the to the invisible wall near the fence...That's Awesome...:lol:

Grab your self a Lotus Elise 111R and tune it to 500 PP to run on CS-SS tires on a race stable tune And don't use chassis reinforcement.
That will teach you a thing or twenty :lol:
Ohh and the last bit build a standing start transmission that doesn't really bog down and can hit 270km/h un assistated. Once you have that completed you have your self a 450-500PP car that can run any track vrs just about any car in that range on all but the super high speed tracks.

Well the Lotus is bought...so begins the little project....👍

I am disappointed to announce that I did not allow myself enough time for testing the Focus group, and getting frustrated with my Mustang tune a few times didn't help. :banghead: I think I put too much effort into my Mustang tune but school and fall break also got in the way. I was once told that having a real life is important too, ya'know. :rolleyes:

Evening all. As promised here are my results for the Mustang class. I enjoyed it more than was expected. Not a fan of the track, and didn't know what to expect from the cars used.

The key for me on this track was understeer on the sweeping bends. Those cars that had the looser setup were much quicker for me. This class was far more about which tune suited me and my syle of driving for this track, (and there is a big difference in lap times), than anything else. The times that were slower are by no means a reflection on the tune.

All cars tested for 10 laps using DS3 (d-pad, sqaure brake, x throttle) on PD's new air simulator track. All aids off except ABS1 and driving line using auto transmission.

Listed as per tuner post.

Struggled to settle into this one. Understeer on the sweepers and oversteer on the tight middle sector. Found I was still lighting up the rears in 3rd gear. Sometimes felt like it had a mind of its own. Kudos for going with something different.

A decent performer but watch out for the rear end in the slower section of the track, it does tend to step out of line if you're too heavy on the go pedal.

What can I say about this car. Easy to drive, good turn in and rotation and easy to get the power down. Comfortable and quick too. Bravo sir.

@DolHaus

Nice stable car with good turn in and rotation. Easy to get the power down. Good effort.

@gtmetacrisis
Time - 1:18:016

Very good car this with a hint of oversteer through the slower section of the track, but same oversteer seemed to help through the sweepers.

Was a constant battle to keep this one in check. Oversteer that you'll have to conquer, and some issues over the crest right hander, but, if you manage to hook up a lap, it's super quick.

@krenkme
Time - 1:18:298
DC - 8
Very easy and stable car to get around the track. You can get on the power super early without the tail slipping.

@xande1959
Time - 1:19:126
DC - 7.5
Good stable tune. A little understeer on the sweepers which cost a bit of time.

@Badger66
Time - 1:18:468

Easy to get used to and fairly stable providing you hit your lines. If you don't, you won't get it back. Good solid car.

Not the easiest to tame. Half my laps were red, the other half were quick. If you can tame it, the rewards are there.

@Lewis_Hamilton_
Time - 1:17:532

Car has grip by the bucket load, but you will have to hit your lines as it does not forgive errors. Great effort.

@Otaliema
Time - 1:18:226
DC - 7
Quick enough but not good on the rear tyres. Spent a fair bit of time drifting. Good turn in and stable under braking if in a straight line.

@shaunm80
Time - 1:18:295
DC - 8
Nice stable tune that generally does what you ask. Has some understeer in the sweepers.

Seemed to cope well with the extra wight and power, but don't think the box is suited to auto transmission. In the 1st right hand sweeper it was constantly changing, up down, up down, which affected rhythm, and found it would change up just at braking point in other parts of the track.
