Nice looking, but I think you made a typo, only 500pp not 550.
Nice to see you join in, good luck :)

Hey I can drive again! First time in almost two weeks! It was tough as heck to stay away but when I saw the new seasonal expert race I had to try. Finally! Still hurts like heck, especially if I have to counter steer against the feedback in the wheel but, to heck with it.

I even went .695 faster at the Suzuka TT. Time off was good apparently.

Now all you have to do is keep out of harm's way :scared: :P 👍

This tune was built with no issues. I wish you the best of luck. :)

Thank you to all of you who have submitted their tunes already. It has helped me greatly by being able to test early as my schedule is pretty full on at the moment.

For those of your who are yet to submit their tune, you have just over two days left. If anyone needs additional time to get your tune in, please PM me ASAP and I will see what i can do to assist you.

Edit: For those of you who are testing, if you have tested fordracer's tune, there may be a slight change in some of his settings which he will be applying. I would appreciate that his tune is retested officially if you have already done so. I will notify you all when these changes have been made.

I'm out so don't go waiting on me 👍

Here is the original text from the rules of the competition.

"Once you submit your tune, I will consider it your final tune and no changes will be allowed, unless there is a problem with it that I notice when checking it over."

:confused::confused::confused:

I don't know, you wouldn't allow the other tuner to make any changes once posted so I don't see why this should be any different. My condolences for any personal issues at hand but consistency must be maintained
I am more than happy to allow a change for @fordracer as I noticed when building his tune that it was unfinished compared to the other tunes submitted. There is a difference between the two changes you mentioned and I am being consistent by allowing everyone to submit a finished tune.

I'm not going to take this further but it still doesn't seem consistent

I could understand letting @fordracer change his final drive settings as his car essentially drives as a 5 speed. Didn't know if that was on purpose or not. As for other settings, I am kind of with @DolHaus on this one. You wouldn't let the newbie change anything......... But, it's your competition.......

Especially if it was spawned by me saying what I did about American muscle cars. He didn't have to post his tune then but he did and said he's done.

Not trying to be out of line here or step on anyone's toes. I think I'd just rather let a new guy have the leniency.

Look at the settings between @fordracer tune and the one Shaun posted on his behalf. The only difference is fordracers original tune doesn't include brake balance and Shauns (template) has all the included info for the tune. The suspension, lsd, and transmission numbers are identical. Fordracer never edited his post to make changes.
The previous contender wanted to make changes due to a faster setup he had found. Once Shaun reminded him of the rules, he agreed to his first setup as the final entry. Shaun is right with his decision. I hope that clears it up.
Edited spelling

I tested the version posted by shaunm with the 7-6 brake balance. If the only change was to add additional info, I am fine with that. It also means I don't have to re-test it.

The inconsistency that bothered me was the reason for the first dismissal:-
I have already tested your tune as when you submitted it, it was classed as a final tune. I am afraid that you will have to revert back to your original tune settings otherwise the other testers will be testing two different versions.

Then the wording of the later post

On face value this appears to say - One tune can't be changed because it had already been tested yet another tune can have retests regardless.

Upon further explanation there is apparently no change, so why mention it in the first place?

We have tuning and testing schedules as standard in contests, these are applied to avoid these kinds of situations arising and I suggest in future that the standard practice is maintained. If we are to apply a set of rules regarding final posts then these rules need to be watertight and agreed by the majority. I of course understand that this early access method makes it easier on some testers but it comes with its own set of complications for entrants and organisers so we must strive to find a better solution.

None of this is personal, I only call it as I see it and would expect the same scrutiny from others given similar circumstances
