Anyone have an idea of how many James Bond movie cars are in the game? That might make a good shootout.
Any thoughts?

What to do after I finish testing for the FITT 2000 Challenge?

I think I am in the mood to drive two types of cars this weekend. Honda Civic's at 415PP and LMP cars at 700PP. Thinking about opening a Friday night room for one and a Saturday night room for the other.

You could sub the DB9 in place of the DBS, the M Coupe in place of the Z3 and the Lotus Esprit with the '87 we have in-game. That is assuming you want to go anywhere with this.

Wikipedia has a great list of Bond cars, including those driven by the bad guys.

Wikipedia is where I got my list from. I had to pick out the "Bond" cars from the other cars.

I like the substitutions you suggested. This "Bond Car Shootout" might actually work. How about these cars as the 'end of year tuner shootout' planned for multible vehicles?

4 or 5 Bond cars on movie locations/tracks.

I'm down for a Bond shootout. Mabye go easy on the testers and do one track?

I would also like to host another shootout. Thinking LMP cars.

Hi FITT any one up today for racing online in our room ATNT ?
As I will be there having fun if someone up to enjoy racing today :dopey:

It was brought up in the current shootout thread that we should come up with a FITT standard for driver's choice points. Without a FITT standard, it can leave things open for test drivers to rank on different scales. Some will be much more generous with the scores and others will spread points across the full range. Tuners in that forum favored a system like this.

FITT Driver's Choice Guideline:
- Score between 1.0 and 1.9 = This tune did not match my driving style in any way.
- Score between 2.0 and 2.9 = Likeable tune, but a bit average.
- Score between 3.0 and 3.9 = Very good tune but needs one or two adjustments to be elite.
- Score of between 4.0 and 4.9 = I would happily race this tune today with a few minor changes.
- Score of 5.0 = Perfect tune. I cannot think of a single adjustment.

Looking for input and feedback and discussion on official verbage for the scale above from across the FITT community.

^^^I like that for the shootouts that incorporate DC and time for the score. It works out rather well 👍

For me though, I like to run a "classic" style of shootout. One for speed and one for feel. In other words I have a winner for fastest car, and a drivers choice award, but I'm sure that's just me. Simple :dopey:

At least for now I've scrapped all previous ideas for shootouts btw. :/

Currently testing out an idea for something more relevant to 2.09. ;)

I like any system that lets me be that exact, aka 4.7 vs 4.4, etc. 👍

I haven't done a high power shootout, that sounds cool.

Just as an idea: how about a shootout based on one of the recent Seasonal events where the car that can net the most $$$ (has the lowest PP and is still competitive) gets more points.

MCH, your idea sounds interesting, but how would it work? Times and drivers choice?
All the cars are so different they'll yield wildly different times, so I don't see how this will be done.

I would only do one of the three options. I would not try to match up LMP cars against street super cars with wings. We would just pick one of the groups and go.

I think my favorite at the moment is option three (updated car list in that post). High powered street cars with wings mandatory might be interesting.

Substitute Option 3 for purely 'Tuner/Speciality' cars, Amuses, Nismos, RUF, Dunlop, HKS, etc, etc. There's a lot of them and it might take a little effort to sift through and even them out. I'd be up for that and the RM/TC cars, but LMP is probably a bit beyond my skills :scared: Doesn't mean it should be an event though, hell, maybe someone will be able to build something I can drive. Maybe 2.09 has suitably tamed the game enough that I can drive them. I have after all just hooned a few laps around GVS in a 500PP Evora on CS tyres...

I prefer the supercar with wings idea, the mainstream supercars haven't received a lot of attention with recent shootouts emphasising those cars that aren't driven often.

I choose either Option 1 or Option 3 (means I can enter current tunes, maybe ). Did you forget the Merc SLS?

And I must say, going back to CS tyres is a lot of fun, I did that 500PP Cape Ring time trial a while back in my 500PP Evora too, needed to be quite awake, but the knife-edge drifting was fun.

A super car shootout might be interesting enough for me to give a run, but street cars generally drive like crap with wings on, especially since 2.09.

I'd rather see a "wings banned" super car shootout, than wings mandatory one.

I just want to thank everyone who has used the ACS_Test-n-Tune Lobby and made it so fun to be a part of. I have some upcoming events listed on the
ACS_Test-n-Tune social group page. My computer skills are lacking so if someone can link this page for me it would be appreciated. Still looking for more members so be sure to check it out if you haven't already and join the fun.

@MCH option 3 looks fun but you missed my Caddy on the list.:lol:

On another note I'm having trouble with my Cell phone so my time on here and online will be severely limited until I can get it resolved.:(

@MCH option 3 looks fine to me :tup:and I would like to enter my Merc C60 premium one with wings on it .;) but I think this car not coming with wings .
@ ACSR thank you for the fun races we used to made it every day 👍

From the upcoming events post:

jtqmopar - 600PP Supercars @ GP/F
trackripper - Budget Challenge
DigitalBaka - World Supercar Challenge
krenkme - Clueless Classics Racecar Edition (January 2013!)

I haven't seen jtqmopar on the site in a while but he was thinking through 600PP supercars. DigitalBaka also has listed a World Supercar Challenge. I'm not sure that I should be working on supercars as well. Maybe I should stick with the racing sedan idea. Doesn't seem to be much interest in LMP cars, though I think that would be fun.
