Sound good :) i take it that prototype road car are allowed as long as the dont exceed 20 front downforce.
As long as it's not a tuner car, race car, or RM, doesn't exceed 20 front aero and has fixed front downforce. (which removes the race car like prototypes and concepts) 👍

I think Nismo is a manufacturer tuned cars, they came with warranty straight from the factory just like mass production models, a bit of grey area there :D
We're going to go the simple route and call them all tuners. RUF's are the only "exception", although in reality I'll admit they're very much tuner cars.
(Since they don't have the performance advantage like "tuner" cars do in the game though it's fine)

Is there no limit to use of power limiter or ballast?

Double post :ouch:
The only requirements are car type, (road car) mileage, (cant be gaining power) and front aero, which must be fixed, at 20 or lower.
So yes, anything - all out speed for PP.

@Cy V2.10 has already killed the dominance of lightweight MRs in PP racing...this isn't about showing they're dead but about how big the rock is that they're buried under.

Pre update my best 450PP time on SH tires was in a Hommell Berlinette RS at 8:17.xxx. My Crossfire ran a 7:58.xxx. That's nearly 20 seconds off my own personal best and I seriously doubt the Crossfire will be even close to the fastest of the cars we'll find in this event.

I still think they're fast, but the power deficit has widened by quite some margin. I had no problems sticking with the fast cars through the twisty 3rd quarter, but on the straights, they really, really get killed now. You can see 20-30mph difference in top end speed and that isn't even the killer, it's the fact the big powerful cars get up to speed so much quicker.

Well-built versions of each type will be within spitting distance, but your lightweight MR has got to be spot on...

It's not 424PP, it's 424HP.

Hmmm…maybe I should use that Chaser. 470hp, 1.5 tons, no pull until 100+mph and only from 500rpm off the redline.

That's 10bhp more than the 270R, but it picks up from the second you hit the loud pedal and carries on all the way to the red line, phenomenal. Well, you saw it, you're MR2s have never been short of pace, however suicidal...

"Tuner car" is defined as follows:
Any car with the name of the original manufacture* of the type of vehicle.
Examples:
Nissan makes the 350Z, so a NISMO 350Z is a 350Z that is not called a "Nissan", therefore it is banned.
The Ford SVT Mustang Cobra R is called a "Ford", therefore it is allowed.
*Exceptions:
RUF

.... *thinks about self induced layoff from GT5 tuning*...

*sighs*, well it seems I just can't stay away from this game. Please add me to the 450pp class as tuner. It was a 500pp tune that I was working on (Harvey raced against it a few weeks back), but now it seems to be a 450pp Muscle :dopey:

@krenkme are you talking about a certain Dodge? Think I still have its front bumper in the boot of my Crossfire can you please retrieve it?:lol:

Oh, so that's where it is. I searched and searched the track for it, but you had it? Well I'll head over to the café and retrieve it :P

... yep, same car :dopey:

Okay stupid question after what I said about Nismo etc...but is the Callaway C12 a tuner car or not? (It's basically a rebodied Corvette):dopey:

Think my Jaaag is done. :P May not be as fast as some contenders, but I love the noise it makes and the fact that it's a Jaaag way too much to not enter it.

I have a favour to ask of someone though, could someone borrow the car off my account, note down the tune, and then rebuild it and share it through their account? Reason being is I stupidly forgot to FR the testers and take a photo of the tune, and I don't think I can access the PS3 in the near future, so... :dopey:

Just a tip for who don't have a lot of time to search for a"new steroid 2.10" top car, there is a standard TVR in the pace of my best car in this range.

><(((((°>°°°°°°

I will tune 450.

Theres much less difference (maybe none?) Between on and offlibe but where will the cars be tested? I havent driven offline in months so im not sure.

To me it feel about the same offline and online but i think everyone will test offline. :)

Oh man I'm so tempted to enter the car I just tested...no it doesn't stand a chance of being the fastest but it's so incredibly smooth to drive and totally unsuspected.

As a hint it's huge, green and last time you all saw it, it was scaring the daylights out of a bunch of S2Ks and Miatas.:D

So, cars like Tom's Chaser, TRD and Trial Celica etc are also banned ?

^ They are not really fast in 450 PP class, but interesting cars to tune, oh well, I had decided to use my Touge cars anyway, so no worries here :D

450PP Silverado SST Concept 7:59.xxx on a sloppy lap.:crazy::D
Not bad for an 1886kg vehicle with the aerodynamics of a barn.

Anyone interested in doing some 450PP testing on the ring? Getting a bit bored running laps by myself.

Wished i seen your offer earlier, i was testing some cars, would been great to test online. :)

I have some more test to do, but i think ive found my 450pp car, finaly!
Its not the fastest in acceleration and probably not the fastest car on the track, but the handling is decent and i really like this car. :dopey:
Top speed is only 283kmh on the long straight.

Hey mike can I talk you into giving the giant green monster I have on share a quick run? It is probably a bit to planted for your tastes but I managed a 7:53.3xx with it and had a blast doing so.:D

Also if your still interested I can hop back on GT5 and let you see the car I'm likely going to enter in this. Doesn't have quite as much straight line speed as some others I tested but even with my rough tune it handles great.

Damn, my Kei Office S14 Q's can barely reach 400PP+ max tuned, I guess will adapt the tune to my S13 K's or S14 K's :D Behold the green Kei Office Silvia
