Tuner: @shaunm80 car: Mini 1.3i ´98
Best lap Time :1:58.227

Fun little car.... It has not so much speed but that it compensate for in and out of corners . Brakes really good. hard braking and full throttle out of the turn. WEEEEEEE

car : Mini Cooper S ´11
Best lap Time: 1:53.954
DC: 9.5

Waaauw smoking tyres, this need throttle control but it´s give me a big smile on my old face.
easy to handle , but dont loose focus on the track. great acceleration
Thank you for the review. Glad you liked the Minis. Both sets of them it would seem. :) I see that you have the smoking tyres sorted out. This car does go through a few sets but you got the hang of it around Monaco. Thanks again.

Understeer/oversteer it does both but it´s very easy to save with throttle control., gearbox nice and fast .
Push it hard and it forgives you.

Car; Mini Cooper S ´11
Best lap Time :1.53.357
DC 9.4

this car screams more than a 100 girls to a One Direction Concert.
And again it understeer and oversteer , but it so esay to get back on track . brakes are great , gearbox fast shift and good speed all over the track .
O_O wow thouse are seriously fast times really well done sir.
I'm glad you were able to sort out the cars quirks and put down some good laps with them.

Speaking of more info, I want to see how this looks typed out. Hope it's okay.

Dolhaus Civics.
'04: 1:52.434 - Peels out. No front grip. Too much brake. Doesn't turn in or come off the brakes good for me. Just not right in my opinion.
DC: 7.0

'83: 1:57.937 - Outside peels, wheel goes limp, stable tune (I made a note that it must be for a DS3 user), too safe.
DC: 7.0

Bowtie Civics
'04: 1:52.365 - Waiting for the front end to do something. Be it grab or turn or transition. Gearing is wrong (only top of 5th out of tunnel, shift to 6th sometimes, but only for a millisecond), wheel goes light on corner entry because of braking to steering transition. DS3 users would never feel that. Smooth is best but I can't hit the gas soon enough.
DC: 8.5

'83: 1:57.712 - Good diff setting. Comes off the brakes good. Gearing is off. I made a note that 10/1 and 1/10 shock settings are sluggish, and too safe. The 10 in front kills a lot of feeling.
DC: 8.2

Your level of detail in the review is good. constructive feedback is always great so anything to help the tuner if the tune is lacking something in your opinion is a good thing to provide. How is testing going for you?

Thanks Shaun. I'm coming into this blind. I even left out half the things I wrote down. My progress is slow because I am totally addicted to the new Nissan GTA event (and car) and also the 700pp Seasonal. Which makes for quite a difficult transition to FF cars on CS tires. That drastic difference really resets everything.

I have a very specific way of driving and if a car doesn't do it, I instantly notice it. As a once avid Autocrosser, I can tell me what I think is wrong before the second lap. Then I adjust myself for 7 more laps, then lap 9 or 10 is my fastest.

I'm quite happy to take part of this one. I think it's really cool.

Thanks for the feedback, I know my tunes are not the best I've done and maybe the worst. But I really do not like the track as it gives me fits. Hard for me to get a handle on the tune, was not sure if it was me or the car. Oh well, I have had bad outings before, and I usually come back with a batter effort. I left the gears that way so the trans was not shifting all the time, and because I was trying to control wheel spin the best I could. Thanks again! :)

Meh, for the time I spent on it I'm happy with how it performed, thanks for testing 👍

Cheers. I just can't get your cars to turn like I want. Little loose on the way in. Probably SJ's complaint about my brakes. Back hanging out a little mid corner. I can't get my cars to turn like I want either, hence my exaggerated suspension settings. Hope you guys are okay with my critique. 👍

The shorter Minis and CRXs might be cool. The Fords though... We'll see.

It's all good on my end, and your times were a little better than my own. I was not happy with my tunes and expect to be near the bottom. Anything else and I'm tickled.:D

I come from a world that if the outside rear tire on FF car isn't slipping, it's not right.

My concern is the rankings. I don't have a reference point. I can't assume my cars are a 10 and then rank everyone else's off that. But I think I am.

Rank and rate as you see fit, up to the tester. Each of us has our own method and no one can really say any method is wrong. You may also like a tune others dislike, or dislike a tune others like. Don't let other reviews effect yours.

I take the one a liked the most or was fastest and then work backwards by time. If I liked it, it does better on DC, if not lower. Sometimes a slower car gets higher and sometimes a faster lower. Hope that helps, I just could not find the time to test for this. Hoping to have more time for the next.

This is the method that I use for driver's choice.

Driver's choice scale:
10.0 among the best tunes you have driven in GT6
7 to 9 a great tune that could be a little faster if...
4 to 6 a good tune that needs a few adjustments to become a contender
Under 4 a tune that needs work (please be specific with feedback with any tunes listed here)

Yeah I've read that a few times. 👍

SJ is giving my '04 a 9.8. Which is close to my theoretical 10. That's not really helping. :D
I always base at 5 from stock but that's cause I normally test every car during during tuning so I know how they felt at start.
Really DC is subjective how did YOU like the car did you get along with it. Would you save the tune for later things like that. The more yeses you give a car the higher the DC score should be. As a general unwritten rule tuners test their cars last so they are far removed as they can be form it so you can really look at it with fresh eyes so to speak. All in all though it comes down to your choice on how to give that score we all have our own methods. in Time you will find yours.

I can run 100 laps an not beat the first 2 by more than 2 seconds, yet I beat the last one by 4 seconds in 3 laps.
To reiterate, I ran no faster than 1 second faster than the first 2 so far, yet can run 4 seconds faster then the Odyssey times in 2-3 laps.
I guess +/- 3 seconds is the margin of error? :odd:

What a horrible job testing.

It's not my cup of tea but, hey, whatever floats your boat.
I can only see one problem though. Corners.
I grew up traveling and the biggest problem when out with an RV is destination travel, so not having to haul another car around or take the RV everywhere is awesome. The only down side is it looks like its only good for 2 maybe three people.
