I go camping about once a week in the spring/summer/autumn. Some rods, a fishing umbrella, a camp bed and a portable stove is where its atIt's an RV with a detachable coach.
Camping ya I'll do that over a hotel any day. For a long road trip I'd take an RV over staying at a hotel or motel on daily basis.

I understand the lack of interest lake fly fishing is well boring. No other way to put it. Ocean fly fishing is interesting, the gear is so heavy it's almost not fly fishing anymore.
I really want to go fly fishing for tarpon one of these days. One of the hardest fighting game fish around. Would be epic to land one with a fly rod.

Fly fishing for pike has become quite popular in recent years over here, does look quite fun but unfortunately they're rare as hens teeth in my part of the country so I'm unlikely to get the opportunity. I just like catching fish and becoming part of the countryside really, even if the fish aren't biting theres always something to enjoy even if its just the peace and tranquillity. I used to be a nationally rated pro match angler when I was younger but I gave it up because it was ruining the sport for me, fishing under pressure nearly ruined it for me but I think I made the right decision as I'm still enjoying it after 20yrs

@CSLACR 's concerns are getting a bit lost in the fly fishing discussion. Since this is my competition, I need to be the adult in the room and straighten out what I can. I did also read the comments in the FITT thread and am taking them under consideration.
@CSLACR if you are dissatisfied with a testers results, you could have asked for a rerun. We have done that in past competitions when a result seemed out of place. If you are still interested in participating after your comments in the FITT thread, let me know, and I will ask the tester to rerun your car. If not, and you are done with FITT, I can remove your tunes and wish you happy racing elsewhere. You are a great tuner and driver so I think FITT is better with you around. Let me know what you would like to do.

787bcgr VW GTIs
450pp - 1:54.238 - Good, but not for me. Gearing was close to pretty good. Car was very predictable and consistent. But consistent in a 10 lap stint isn't good to get fast. So I actually did 20 laps in it. But still, a bit slow overall and I never really went marginally faster. I tried short shifting and that got me my faster laps. But just barely. I was always a mid to low 54.x

385pp - 1:57.860 - Another good, predictable car, but I have to wait for the front and even then it doesn't rotate enough for me. Only geared to top of 4th? Front toe doesn't make sense to me either. But I figure it'd be pretty good for long stints in the car. Still, pretty good drive.

B Wolf VW GTIs
450pp - 1:52.935 - Didn't really care for the 3 speed transmission. I don't like the front compression at 10, it really dulls it down. The car feels a bit heavy and seems to quickly loose grip coming off the brakes and then into mid corner so I found myself turning the wheel more and sooner. Overall though, the car is okay, but still the 3 speed is a little weird. I noted that I had high hopes for this one after driving the '76 GTI first. But found it just okay, relatively.

385pp - 1:56.770 - I was like whoa. Nice job here! Very good, but again, 10 front suspension compression kills a lot of the front end feel for me. I guess it's just preference. I think despite the high diff setting it still peels the front inside a bit which I found strange. Didn't really matter much though, the car felt great. I did 3 laps right around 56.8 and most of the other faster ones were right there. I really liked this car.

450pp - 1:53.117 - I really liked this car. Well done. The transmission is really good but it's weird that I top out 6th gear before the first corner, and coming out of the tunnel. None other have done that yet. Suspension is my style, just calmed down a little. Like it a lot. Brakes are great. The diff setting, 9/54 is pretty weird to me, but it works. I really like the handling and rank this car pretty high.

385pp - 1:55.795 - Holy moly. This is a VERY good car for me. Close to perfect. I zoned in, and was slicing tenths off every single lap. Almost. Last lap was fastest, and I know there was more in it. This car is bad ass. I will say that I think there is something just slightly off from perfect in the front end, but I can't be certain but would guess a little suspension tweak would find/fix it. AWESOME car. 👍

handles very good if you are very carefull with the throttle and the breaks to hard on the throttle the you will die it´s spins you around right a way .. was fun to push hard ..
