I know a few of you have tested my car already. Did you manage to set up my transmission easy enough? if so, can you let me know how you set it up? Someone is having problems with it at the moment.

Just a positive suggestions for the future to this thread. Make it online tunes for the usage on all seasonal or for lobby rooms. Arcade tune doesn't work well for online drive as everybodys knew, about 2 seconds faster ! Just like having SRF on. Secondly, after all the hard work tuning and testing 10 laps per car, those podium tuned winner cars feels not at home when they are online race. Only arcade 'usage' or play alone... or left it unused. I just want all tester/tuners here to be more proud/satisfy of their time consuming tuned car .

I understand the point of view but it just opens up a whole raft of organisational and access based problems. Not everyone has reliable internet access and testing online adds a whole bunch of time to the process.
We often build less than ideal cars at odd spec and tyre combinations and the cars are tuned to suit one particular track so they're not really meant to be all rounders. Its more a contest of who can do the best within the given restrictions.

I personally have no interest in online, and couldn't care less about how the cars perform there. I don't have anything against online racers/tuners, but until the difference between the modes is removed, I don't see a point in tuning for it when I don't ever play online.
Same here đź‘Ť

Same here though new content never helps. Good for a change of pace from running a buncha laps around Monaco though. Got the Focus, Minis and Crxs still.

Prob gonna rerun the first few cars I did to see if they still rank as I have them. Nothing I've posted yet is my official opinion.

Hmm I may not finish my testing I'm finding I can only CĂ´te d' Azure for about 35 laps a day with out stressing myself out. I have 15 cars left, and 3 days... as I don't get play time on weekends. I'll do my best to get the cars finished in time I'll see what I have left on Friday.

It's so time consuming to tune the cars. Granted it's less time than the 20 minutes it takes to drive. I'd say do less than ten laps but my fastest are always on lap nine or ten. Some cars I gradually get faster in but some I peak early then stink for eight more laps but the good cars I tend to get faster every lap.

While waiting for the new Academy event to open last night I tuned a few cars to make it easier for me come time to put in another 60 some laps soon. For now, I gotta wheel the new Nissan. The thing is so cool. Wonder how it goes around Monaco?

A slow lap around Monaco was about 1.35.xxx that was being conservative. The car works surprisingly well there. :)

First lap at Monaco, no walls (I swear), conservative and still a 1:30.753!

Funny. Barely made the tight left hairpin, though.

I had to stop so I don't get used to grip here.

I can't control the dang car. I swear my front wheels spend 20% of the time in the air.

Even on a DS3 it feels like you have to muscle it around.

The brakes hurt me. Throw off my usual brake points.

31.9 ain't terrible, but... I got much more.

Agreed, the brakes feel strange, and they really don't like braking and turning at the same time. (That last bit is probably due to stock brake balance, though.:yuck:)

Just out of curiosity is anyone running TCS? Since the current LeMans/WEC regs permit TCS, I feel like the car was meant to use it.

I've ran it both ways it's a hair bit faster with out it but much easier to drive with it.

My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee has TCS as standard and during the winter, the first thing I do when I get in is turn it off. :)
I should've explained that I was referring to cars in the game.
In the real world, I have a 2005 Holden Commodore that's basically the same as the one in the game except it's a V6 with 235bhp. The only traction control it's got is a 44yo that engages brain & controls his right foot :D
For the last couple of years, it's been compulsory for every new car sold in Australia to be fitted with ESC (Emergency Stability Control). Some makes & models allow you to switch the fun police off whereas others don't. From reading reviews on some models, the ESC is so intrusive that as soon as you start to show any enthusiasm or press on a bit, it's flashing it's little dashboard indicator at you :irked:
