That, was pretty funny. Conveniently my user title is "Umm... Hello..." Was that what you were pointing out? :odd:

Quite a convenience. :P

Anyways, I guess I might as well start practicing on GVS since I won't be racing tomorrow. :grumpy: Oh well. I hope I don't have that lap time issue again. :scared:

Anyone have a New Imola Orange Pearl paint chip they can send me, or help me find out which car it comes from?

I can send you one tomorrow morning if you still need it. Let me know.👍

Edit: Sent one of each

I just figured it out. Someone sent me one and I sorted by Manufacturer and it popped up in Acura. The only premium Acura is the NSX and it doesn't have that color, which means it only comes on a standard car. :( I was hoping to buy a bunch of them for the chips, guess I'll just have to trade for some.

I have some I could send over if you like.
It's off the 97 Type S Zero. ;)
Or an 03 EU S2000, not sure now. Both come in collectible oranges.

Any that anyone can spare would be awesome. I'm painting all my TC and RM cars in that color, going for a "team colors" thing.

Also, while searching through my paint chips, I came across "New Imola Orange Pearl" which is what I thought I was using. So I guess there's that one and "Imola Orange Pearl". The new version looks to have more of a redish tint to it. Will have to paint a car and see what the difference is, if any.

Oh your in for a treat. There is like two shades of each name you mentioned. Sending some chips shortly.

I did read all the rules. I want to register using car #5 but I was told is taken even though I don't see anyone using that number on the series (1, 2 or 3).

I actually have #5. My picture isn't up on the front page since it took me a while to get my picture right, then I had to change my color.

Turbo, I just noticed you have me as #13 on the driver graphic. We switched my number to 96 a while back because there were 2 #13s.

Looking forward to tomorrow's race. Hopefully I will have time to run a few more laps before the race, because I am at least .5 off the pace

Ah ok, gotcha. Also, how do we gain 216HP if no parts can be installed? Stock Miata TC has 197HP.

Engine break in. You must have 200 miles/320KM on your miata. Just put it on B spec.👍

That has been explained already as well. The car once fully broken in has 213 horsepower. When running the online lobby, the closest horsepower cap you can put on the room is 216. The next click down is 207 which would make us have to power limit the cars.

216HP is just as low as you can possibly set the room. The car is fully broken in at 213HP.

EDIT: Tree'd massively.

Oil change will bring it up to 207, 187.5 miles engine break in will bring it up to 213. The 216 BHP power limit is irrelevant, seeing as tuning will be set to prohibited.

BIG OAK TREE

Also, are we setting the rooms at 'fixed host' for the races? I thought not checking this would be better, if the host gets disconnected somehow or has to leave for what ever reason.

Fixed host makes me lower the race quality whenever I open a room, so I think its worse to have it checked.

Ok, these are the last pics I am posting haha.

I feel like a bit of practice before the race tomorrow.

I got down to mid 2:17's with a little practice this morning, should've been down into the mid 2:16's with a little more, but the baby started getting cranky and I had to quit.

Is D_I_N_G_U_S is this series? He came into my room and ran like a 2:13.057 within a 5-10 minutes of joining. I'm not sure if he had it tuned since I only had a 484PP restriction, but I didn't prohibit tuning or anything like that.

What's the consensus on passing slower or lapped traffic? My reading of the GTP OLR Rules & Guidelines is that slower traffic should move off the racing line. At every track day I've run, slower cars stay on the racing line so car locations are predictable, then the faster cars pass safely.

Usually, I hold my line and let the faster guy pass me, but if there's a battle up front and they're all closing on me, I'll find a safe place to slow down and let them all by.

Also, if I'm trying to catch up to someone myself, I wont just pull over for you.

If you're racing for position, stay on line, it's the faster car's job to pass you safely. If you're being lapped, just lift off briefly when it's safe. Any time I've ever been lapped a wide line into a corner off-throttle was all it took for the leader to buzz by me.

If you didn't have the room set on "tuning prohibited" then he probably had a better suspension tune, hence his faster time. If you open a practice room for everyone, make sure it's set 100% according to the practice room rules in the first post.
