2:13.057 within a 5-10 minutes of joining. I'm not sure if he had it tuned since I only had a 484PP restriction, but I didn't prohibit tuning or anything like that.
I sure hope so....

What's the consensus on passing slower or lapped traffic? My reading of the GTP OLR Rules & Guidelines is that slower traffic should move off the racing line. At every track day I've run, slower cars stay on the racing line so car locations are predictable, then the faster cars pass safely.
MÜLE_9242;6154473Usually, I hold my line and let the faster guy pass me, but if there's a battle up front and they're all closing on me, I'll find a safe place to slow down and let them all by.
Also, if I'm trying to catch up to someone myself, I wont just pull over for you.
If you're racing for position, stay on line, it's the faster car's job to pass you safely. If you're being lapped, just lift off briefly when it's safe. Any time I've ever been lapped a wide line into a corner off-throttle was all it took for the leader to buzz by me.
This can be a bit of a problem in GT5. If you're running mid-pack (not last place) and the leader comes up behind you to lap you it can be hard to tell if he's a lapper or someone you're battling for position. It's hard to tell because you can't see name tags in your rear view mirror.
Are there any established ways of letting a back marker know that you're lapping them? How about honking? I'm curious because it's not inconceivable that I'll be lapped.
My times are down to mid 15's with a best of 15.3, so I hope I'll be okay. Better safe than sorry though. I'll be thrilled to get in the top ten. The competition is fierce!
I always know who's around me at any given point; situational awareness is always a good thing to have.
This is also a good reason to have cars that look different... easier to identify the leader.
The mirror doesn't show their name but the "look back" button does.
IMO it doesn't really seem like too much to ask for everyone to know who they're racing.
Well, if the person can run you down from behind as fast as the leaders can... He will be leading soon.

I know the GTP OLR and was wondering how strict are the races?
Is "door paint exchange" ok?
How aggress can you be with draft draft breaking?
Are all pass required to "safe". For example,
you see a guy brake 60m to early, you dive to his inside, see the car in front of him is also braking to early, and pass him at the apex.
No contact, did not force them to change lines.
Is that "OK" or "YOU ARE OUT OF THE SERIES"?
Also, how strict are track boundaries? Say you swing wide for just a second, non-intentionally, will you be DQed?
Track boundaries at nurb.....F are tricky, most of the other tracks don't see to have much of a problem. Going wide can save a good .01-.02 or more IMHO
Thanks, I just would like know now.... instead of later.
Paint swapping is never OK, let's just say that.
As far as draft breaking, once or twice is OK but I don't want to see you swerving back and forth down the straights. That's kind of pointless anyway because all it does is slow you down.
If someone brakes earlier than you think you should and you dive to the inside to pass, that's fine as long as there is no contact. If you accidentally brake late and swerve to the inside to miss them and make contact, it's probably best that you give them the spot back. If I deem it inappropriate, I'll penalize appropriately.
Doesn't matter which track it is, car has to maintain two wheels within the "white lines" whenever possible. All tracks are outlined with those white painted lines....stay inside them. If you have to go out there to miss a wreck or something, that's fine. If you are found to be doing it during qualifying, you'll have to start at the back. (wait for everyone to pass, then go)
On a side note, I have internet at the new place but it's hooked up in the living room only. I will not have a hard connection in my room for a couple days, so unfortunately I will in fact miss this race. All the room hosts know their duties and will take care of any problems should they arise.
So is there a complete list of racers/reserve ordering for each room?
Are rumble strips track? If not, I need to change my line.Paint swapping is never OK, let's just say that.

MÜLE_9242;615623995% chance I wont make the race tomorrow.
tom 👎 this is ten times better than both of them and a hell of alot more competitive!
