What you could do is sort of have it as a host website for the results, times of races, planned practices, etc. just for that very clean and very professional look. It gives this series a much more serious outlook when a newbie comes in and hopefully that seriousness attracts them.

Exactly what I was thinking.

some pics I snapped while watching the replay (damn welsh, while fighting it out in the spec race there was a spot were we did about 1.5 laps side by side without touching).

Hey guys just a quick question, i was just wondering what lap times i would need to get to be competitive in next weekends race, please don't say like 28's or something lol

Is it too late to join you folks? I actually wanted to sign up from the start but circumstances forced me to hang up the helmet for a while.

No idea, haven't run either car at the track yet.

Never too late, especially for you! :dopey:

That, and my wheel sounds a bit worn. :nervous:

Mine keeps making popping sounds, depending on certain conditions. Very weird and I cannot seem to replicate it on my own. Usually happens during a race when I can't do anything about it.

Same here. Sounds like I'm microwaving popcorn. :irked:

I also need something better than a coffee table to mount my wheel on. It's too lightweight and makes squeaky noises. Then again, the squeaky noise kinda adds a touch of realism.

@ Dr.Watson - It really was a great battle and the track really showed the differences between the NB and the NA, which made our 15 lap battle so interesting. You were also very kind to give me the position back on the last lap after our slight 'rub' :) 👍 I noticed from the replay that you also had the fastest lap in the GT race too, just a spin spoilt your chances there, great pace in both classes buddy.

Awesome drive in both classes Turbo and yes, the replays are pretty awesome to watch. Brosif and Egg were flying once again, great job guys. I think any perspective from the front group is impressive for the first half of each race as pit stops seemed to just spread things out a little after. I usually watch the races back from the rear facing camera of the lead car, which I find shows how close and clean people are driving.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make any more of the races and in fact, I've decided to take a break from GT5/PS3, probably for the rest of the summer (not long here in Calgary! lol) as I'm spending way too much time in the 'hot seat' and can't commit to complete a series right now :( .

I used to race road bikes back in the UK and crave motorsport of any sort. Living here, this means that there is pretty much only 1 option for me and that is Kart racing. Can't afford to travel for the bikes and certainly can't afford any form of car racing, so I'm looking at the Rotax Max class which is well supported around here (Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan). Hoping to get a set-up for under $3000, so I'm gonna concentrate my efforts on that until winter hits (and when it hits, it hits hard!!)

I'll keep my eyes on the rest of the series and look forward to racin' with you all again soon.

Best of Luck,
Welsh.

Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! What?

Edit: Oh, Welsh's quitting!

*deap breath*NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:(

You seemed like a great guy from the little I've talked to you, so it'll be bad to see you go.

Good luck with what you're doing, though 👍

:( You'll be missed welsh :( But hey, real life racing endeavors > GT5 always :)

Best of luck mate! 👍

I thoroughly enjoy this photograph. 👍👍👍

But things were just getting good. :(

Good luck with Rotax! I know you will have fun. Hopefully we will see you in the winter and we can pick up where we left off.

On the winter thing: what's the expectation on migration to Forza4? gt5 is the first gt/racing game I'm playing and if a lot of people will jump on F-4 I better plan ahead and swap my wheel for smth compatible now.

I could help run a series over there, but more than likely will not compete. I don't have an xbox and despise microsoft for not allowing the Logitech wheels to work on their system. So FM4 is a no go for me...

Edit: The Fanatec wheels work on both systems, correct?

Just remembered that I will be going to a drift event on Saturday night so we'll have to do that days qualifying session in the afternoon. I'll try to have the room open around 2pm Eastern and it'll be open until I leave.

Edit: For the GT Class, I'm going to try something different this weekend and we'll do a 10-lap qualifying race with no pit-stop, then we'll do a 30 lap feature race with a required stop. Line-up for the 10 lap Quali Race will be set by points in reverse order. Since the GT Class is still in testing stages, thought I would give this a try.

Edit 2: Follow me!

Response 1: Sounds shweet!

Response 2: How excited are you!?! However, he hasn't listed the DB9 as a participant.

Tron!

could I run for the hell of it with you guys? I can't commit to being at every race and I've missed a lot, but I'd love to race on the 19th.

Yep, that's fine. Depending on how many people qualify for Sunday's race though. If we have 17 people qualify and that 17th person already has a points position, they'll get priority over an occasional racer.

okay so I'll just wait and see what happens after the qualifier?

Actually I would show up for qualifying and qualify just in case. If we only have enough to fill the room you can start wherever you qualify.
