Thanks for the kind words guys. It's been awesome racin' with you all and certainly the best I've had on GT5, so there is no doubt I will be back to mix it up with you again. I really enjoy the GT class and would hope to see it continue if RT feels it could work. However, which ever races are being run by this group would work for me. :)

I think this series has done well enough that there is no point in killing it after this season. I haven't thought much about what if any changes will be made but I would definitely like to bring on some additional sponsorships. 👍

Got my cars! :)
GT: Copper Red Mica / White

Now I just need to break them in.

That's actually the color on the car in my drive. :sly:👍

enjoy the summer, been fun 👍
Being in Buffalo I know the feeling, this series is the only gt5 I'm playing.

Dang Welsh. Sad to see you go. It's been great racing with you.

To be honest, I've been thinking VERY hard to participate in the North East Rotax Max Challenge. Unfortunately you seem to be a days worth of driving away from me. If I ever get the Rotax, I would strongly consider at least one weekend at one of those tracks since my god mother lives in the area.

I'm currently saving up money for one of two things - Rotax Kart(Possibly DD2 but that costs more $) or a Miata. 👍

Ok guys, I'm making this official now as I'm about 80% happy with it. Obviously since it's new I will be making lots of changes still, but it's slightly functional. Comments / Suggestions are appreciated and encouraged. (especially since I'm paying for it now :P)

nice... Things I would change:

kill the background image; ruins the clean layout.
stick with a shade of grey.

top of the welcome page
Next Race: 6/19 at Autumn Ring Mini : Reverse 8:00pm Eastern

unless i'm crazy it should be the full ring not ARM?

---

kill the funky floating div that has "OFFICIAL HOME FOR THE FLYIN' MIATA SUPER CUP" and a "Welcome" link.
It's redundant; will look better if you have the logo up there in the top left corner, and personally I'd also combine that with the navigation div below it... that way things don't look so boxy.

Anyway, i'll take off my web designer hat now. ;)

I second all but one of Doc Watson's comments as the next race is at Autumn Ring Reverse.

P.S. I'm a member of our official site!!!!

Will do and yes, oops. :P

Unfortunately I can't put anything but text in that upper corner. (as far as I know) :(

Site looks slick and official. Awesome job! If you guys are interested I just opened up my Z4 series. It is similar to this series (just a little more power but hardly any adjustable mods allowed so it keeps the cars pretty even). Would love for all of you to join. Thanks RT for permission to use your format.

If GT5 is any indication of what the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence are for the future i am moving to mars.

But I'm getting so many helmets and suits!!! Oh and money, can't forget about the money.

@ Dr.Watson - It really was a great battle and the track really showed the differences between the NB and the NA, which made our 15 lap battle so interesting. You were also very kind to give me the position back on the last lap after our slight 'rub' :) 👍 I noticed from the replay that you also had the fastest lap in the GT race too, just a spin spoilt your chances there, great pace in both classes buddy.

Awesome drive in both classes Turbo and yes, the replays are pretty awesome to watch. Brosif and Egg were flying once again, great job guys. I think any perspective from the front group is impressive for the first half of each race as pit stops seemed to just spread things out a little after. I usually watch the races back from the rear facing camera of the lead car, which I find shows how close and clean people are driving.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make any more of the races and in fact, I've decided to take a break from GT5/PS3, probably for the rest of the summer (not long here in Calgary! lol) as I'm spending way too much time in the 'hot seat' and can't commit to complete a series right now :( .

I used to race road bikes back in the UK and crave motorsport of any sort. Living here, this means that there is pretty much only 1 option for me and that is Kart racing. Can't afford to travel for the bikes and certainly can't afford any form of car racing, so I'm looking at the Rotax Max class which is well supported around here (Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan). Hoping to get a set-up for under $3000, so I'm gonna concentrate my efforts on that until winter hits (and when it hits, it hits hard!!)

I'll keep my eyes on the rest of the series and look forward to racin' with you all again soon.

Best of Luck,
Welsh.

Sorry to see you go, I haven't been around this series long, but you definitely seem to be one of the most friendly, respectable guys around. Hope you can make it back in Winter. Best of luck with your Karting endeavours.

Thanks Schaden'. I WILL most definitely be back when the Freeze returns, which knowing Calgary, won't be too long.

Thanks Coconut. I considered the DD2 and full shifter classes also, but unfortunately there is not much support for it here, therefore small grids, where the Rotax Max class is seeing 20+ at each local club meeting. If things go well, then I would hope to give the Western Canadian Championship a run next year as part of the Rotax Max Challenge, but I will probably be on fairly old machinery due to budget, but I'm hoping it will still be competitive.

@RT. Website looks great! 👍

I'll fix that tonight. I was going to change it to "DNF drivers get 0 points" but that wouldn't be fair to those that disconnect. Even in real life (NASCAR for example) if you don't finish the race you still get points for whatever position you finish in, so that's the way I like to do it.

i was looking at the website also(very nice btw) and saw that my name isn't on the points standings list, i should have a whopping 9 points, but no biggie its not like i'm close to winning and need the 9 points lol

... and prize money. Use provisional, start race, park car, pick up check.

P.S. I fixed bkeveryday's points.

I don't think it's saying I got points from the Tsukuba race. I think I came in 12th or somewhere around there.

Had to re-do a bunch of messed up formulas but it's all good now 👍

haha, It doesn't matter now. I think I just forgot to double check some of the formulas on the lower part of the sheet, they just had a couple letters in the wrong place. But it makes all the difference in the GT world!

Also, after you edit stuff in the spreadsheet just click on the arrow next to "share" on the top right of the page and hit "Republish" and the results will be refreshed and posted on the embedded sheet instantly.
