FM4 Collector's Edition Announced

Yes I have posted that I pre ordered from these leeches.

Thanks anyway.

Well, at least the GAME stores' managers there aren't operating a child porn ring during launch parties...

I just read the manger of a Gamestation in Missouri got 290 years for production of child porn IN THE STORE!

WOW, you gotta be kidding me! 290 years and a swift and precise use of this is what he should have got.

Yeah, it annoyed me I had to pre-order with Game, especially as they don't mention a pre-order vehicle and Play's standard edition listing mentions the BMW 1M.

I try to avoid GAME at all costs, but on this occasion I have no choice.

I feel dirty.

I'll ask over on FM.net if it hasn't been asked already, but for those of us who've pre-ordered online, it doesn't say if you can include a print-screen for that offer.

I don't have facebook or twitter either. But I will sign up for Twitter just to get it (then close Twitter)

I thought about the same thing, but they will have the gamertag in the email so I am guessing they will just go off that list.

Confused...they want a RECEIPT? What do they want for a receipt if I am pre-ordering? I don't get a receipt. I just get an email confirmation, and they don't even charge me yet.

I thin you'd have to order it at GameStop or the likee, as they hand out receipts there... I guess I'll do it sometime later this month. It's probably only going to be cars with special tunes and liveries (like FM3), but... Why not?

This is very sneaky on MS/T10... have US promote their product via Facebook and Twitter. I hate these things like this. And I want everything that comes with the game on day1

Ah, I see. Ok, well I guess that is the route I will go then. Thanks.

It's worth having a twitter account for when FM4 comes out; I won a trivia quiz on twitter which got me an Impreza S204 after 18-months of trying.

Well, it also works via Facebook, so I'm not too fuzzed about it. I guess I'll do it when I get around to preordering.

Can you not Email your pre-order company and ask for one? Call me old fashioned but I wouldn't leave a store after leaving a deposit for anything with just a..

I need a piece of paper showing how much I've paid and for what.

If your confirmation email contains an order number and the product details, date etc. I think a screenshot of that will do. They've said screenshots of orders are fine.

So I sent them a receipt, do I really have to sign up for twitter or facebook to do step 2? Is that even necessary? How would they even know it's me?

I'm not going to do it. **** facebook, I'll never give those assclowns my personal info. And Twitter is ok I guess but I don't have or need or want it.

You know, you could always just lie :sly:
Works like a charm for me, on basically every social network I'm on.

But, you're right. I can't see how they'll ever know who used a facebook/twitter to do what theyÄve asked of you, so I think just sending the receipt will do the trick.

I don't want them to make money off my presence, real or incognito. I loathe Facebook and social networking BS, I won't even bother ranting about it.

As far as I'm concerned, when a company demands I use Twitter or Facebook to participate in a promotion it's a huge detractor for me. I always picture some 20-something hot-shot marketing dip-**** who lives her (personal experiences) life on her profile page and doesn't understand that the only reason anyone is willing to pay her to surf them all day is because they see the dollar values of the sites in Business Weekly and think they can get a piece of the pie.

Forza gets a pass because it's Forza, but I still won't do it and am mildly annoyed by it.

Well, not like you're going to miss out on much just by skipping the promotional stuff. As I said eralier, it's likely going to be the same as FM3 was. At worst, you might miss out on a Unicorn car.

Personally, I'm no big fan of the whole social networking, either, but I primariliy use it to keep in touch with colleagues from work, using wrong personal information (just like I did with my PSN account :sly:).

It's true, though, that it's a very cheap way to promote their game. Then again, they probably have no way to check whether you've actually posted anything about the game. There's probably hundreds of people going to do so, so I'd just send them the receipt and see if they acknowledge that on its own.

Just ordered the Limited Edition on Amazon last night. Took a screenshot and emailed them, hopefully that works. I am NOT doing the facebook or twitter part.

German Amazon still doesn't offer the LCE... Strange... Kinda curious as to whether I can preorder it at GameStop. Guess I'll have to go and see for myself.

Just kinda sux Amazon is offering .99 release day shipping for just about every new release except FM4 L.E.

I have amazon prime and i did the one day shipping. When I did that for GT5 last year I got the game a day early...so hoping for the same this time around.
