Sway & King Tech - The Anthem feat. RZA, Tech N9ne, Eminem, Xzibit, Pharoahe Monch, Kool G Rap, Jayo Felony, Chino XL & KRS-One

I'm 36 and really as someone said, you guys are listing mostly Golden Era hip hop songs which I love but old school is :

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5

Salt and Pepa

Roxxane Shante

Eric B Rakim

Treacherous 3

Funky 4 +1

Masters of Ceremony

Raheem(Rza before Wu)

Biz Markie

I'm not a master of old school rap but I love N.W.A. My favorite rap group of all time, although people question me when I say I don't care much when Eazy-E gets on the mic. Ice Cube is my favorite because he is just one badass sounding dude.

Favorite song? Straight Outta Compton.

I'm only 20 so I dunno "old school" per se but I grew up with all of the classics I reckon.

Tupac - The greatest of em all.
NWA - Pure head banging classic.
Snoop Doggy Dogg - I think that's how he spelt it back in the day? :dopey:

R.I.P Tupac, I hope you do come back one day..

And a big F YOU to all the Eastside listeners 👍

Wow... I was busy with Eastcoast-Westcoast crap when I was like 12.... Im 30 now... so you can imagine how long ago that was... That beef died a LONG time ago..

And a big F YOU to all the Eastside listeners 👍[/QUOTE]. If you really dont listen to east coast because of some media hyped beef that happened 15 years ago your missing out. The greatest rappers in history were born in NY. 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Rakim, Nate Dogg, and so many more.

Dr.Dre - "Deep Cover"

Intense stuff 👍 I also love Big Pun's version - Big Pun ft Fat Joe: Twinz (Deep Cover '98). BTW It's featured on GTA LCS, Liberty Jam FM :).
I have been youtubing a bit and loved some hits unknown by me, like old school Snoop Dogg (What's my name? :sly:) and Easy-E - Real Mutha******* G's.

RIP Easy-E, 2Pac, Big Pun...and the old Snoop too.

Haha, learn how to quote mate :dopey:

It's just my opinion there, and you posted your opinion. I don't really care so 👎

Yes jagdrag77 and I just gave my opinion on your opinion. Last time that I checked, I can do that. And yes you don't know old school if your too stubborn to over look a beef that happened 15 years ago. By doing that your not listening to the greatest hip hop artists ever. Whether you like it or not Hip hop originated in NY, the best emcees came from NY. A very small percentage of hip hop classics have come from people not born in NY. And why do you still think Pac is alive?Let the man rest in peace.

Alrighty man, I accept your opinion.

I just don't agree with it :dopey:

And how is my OPINION on him being alive gonna disturb his peace...?

Weird....

Jagdrag77 You still never answered my question on why you still think Pac is alive. I hope its not that stupid 2014 bs, people got that started by not knowing what they are talking about. It started when some idiot said that Niccolo Machiavelli faked his death when he was 25 and came back at 43, which is completely false. Back in 2004 people said he was coming back, in 2005 they said he was coming back, and in 2009 they said he was coming back. Fans of 2pac who think he is still alive make me embarassed to say that Im a 2pac fan.

2Pac will be "alive" while we proud fans listen to their magnificent music and remember who he was and what he represent. RIP 2Pac

Yeah I get that but this dude thinks that Pac is still alive and coming back in 2014.

I believe he's alive due to that "2014 bs" you so nicely referred to.

Ok just wanted to make sure. And by the way I do think that 2pac is the best and always will be the best rapper to ever live but I just think its kind of silly to think that hes still physically alive. But thats your opinion, I dont agree with it but I respect it.

Tupac/2pac was nice with the lyrics, may he rest in peace. I personally don't think he is the greatest to ever do it with his music, lyrics and style, but he was nice. He is far better than the mess that is out now.

His death seems to have catapulted him past many legendary artists in the rap game and labeled the "Greatest" by many, death does that though, so it is to be expected and to each their own.

My favorite track of his is "Against All Odds".

Alright then, I don't agree with you either but I respect your opinion.

Yeah I agree with your statement. 2pac was not the best emcee skill wise, there were guys far better. But for me what seperates 2pac from other guys is that he actually rapped about things that matter, unlike some guys who would just brag about what they have. Another reason I like 2pac the most is the dudes work ethic. His work ethic was crazy, hes released more posthumous albums than when he was alive. All Eyez on Me, which is officially listed as 9x Platinum by the RIAA, was completed in two weeks. His Don Killuminati album was completed in one week. Both of those albums mentioned are hip hop classics. If I remember correctly in 2007 or 2008 Afeni Shakur sued Death Row Records and Suge Knight for unreleased 2pac songs and she got about 100-150 unreleased songs. Thats approximately 7-10 more albums worth of songs.
