Force Feedback: Is this my G25 or Gran Turismo?

Quite allot recently, when playing Gran Turismo 6 using my Logitech G25 wheel, I have noticed that when I am turning the wheel (cornering) and run over a rumble strip at the edge of the track, I do cannot or barely feel anything through the wheel (force feedback wise). I have got force feedback set to Professional and the strength set all of the way up to 10.

The wheel does shake when I let go on the straights and if I run over rumble strips on the straight, I feel the wheel giving force feedback. There is also force feedback when driving on dirt as well, but for some reason if I am a situation of hitting another car or object when turning the wheel (when cornering), the wheel doesn't always respond. I have tested the wheel with other games (including WRC3 and DiRT 3) and the wheel does respond pretty good, but it doesn't seem to feel all that strong?

I have owned my Logitech G25 wheel for 5 years now and when I first got it, I remember it being that strong, it was almost unusable due to the strong force feedback and now it appears to not be so strong (it is quite strong, but it doesn't seem to be as much as it used to be).

So is this just me who has got used to the wheel, an issue with Gran Turismo 5/6 or the wheel itself?

I guessed that it would be Gran Turismo. When I run the FFB tests in Logitech Profiler on my PC, the force feedback is that strong, you have to wrestle the wheel to keep it steady. We will have to hope that they bring out an update to fix this!

The Professional setting won't affect it and I read something about FFB higher than 5 masking certain feedback cues from the wheel. Try 5, it'll obviously be weaker, but there may be more of a change on rumble strips.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. At least I know that there is nothing wrong with my wheel and it is properly functioning! I really do appreciate the suggestion from "mistersafeway" but unfortunately, I don't feel much on setting 5 and I didn't see any difference on rumble strips, so I stayed with 10. The force feedback is kind-of strong, however it doesn't always respond. PD need to fix this! For both GT5 and GT6.

Some tracks have more feel in the strips than others I have noticed. I use a Fanatec gt2 however it emulates the g25. GT6 forece feedback really needs work. Forza's FF as way, way better but GT6 is just meaner feeling in general if that makes any sense.
