Won 25,000 credits racing a stock 2008 BMW M3 around Hockenheimring for a couple of laps.

Too bad I already spent sixty grand getting the car in the first place. I realise now the Hub Challenge I was chasing is essentially a bribe or bung designed to get you to buy the Beemer regardless of whether you need it or not.

It was fun and responsive at stock B545 but as soon as I applied a tune it underperformed on the straights compared to its rival Audis which must've been around B600 or more bone stock. Aus Freude am Fahren, my arse. :grumpy:

Finally won the M4 GT3 car last night and did the Kyalami event, and wow another cracking car! They really seem to have nailed the sound of it and out of the box it's got great handling (if slightly oversteery). I don't think I've ever turned in to Sunset corner with as much speed in any of the other GT cars.

To get the Elantra, I did a 25-lap quick race Forza GT race on Sebring (short circuit), and with a successful pit strategy (started with soft and ended with hard compound, 4.0x wear factor) I finished 3rd with the VW Golf.

Public service announcement! Try the HyperCar parade in this weeks races it’s at Kyoto driving park… use the Radical SR3 fully tuned with everything except nitrous.
Officially in my top 5 favorite races I’ve ever played, 250 hours in.
Turn up the volume and listen to that turbo sound!

I took a Mercedes to a Cadillac/Chevy race (Luxury HP tour). That's bad, right? Luckily by the time I reached Yas Marina my C63 was leaving the level 8 AI in the dust from a seventh place starting position. That's good, right?

I had to rep the good ol Murica in the Blackwing last night for this series. I did find it annoying that it was all Cadillacs.

I also chose the Blackwing since I don't have any other Cadillacs other than the DPi car with any points on them. And I also thought it was annoying that it was the Cadillac Invitational Series.

I installed Forza Motorsport on my laptop, works great but with a low resolution and low quality graphics but eh, I don't mind.

Did some car levelling on some random'ish tracks and I reached level 888. Currently driving a Aston Martin DB4 Zagato, it'll soon be level 50.

Managed to get max discount with Ford, I love Ford. It reminds me of our good ol' Windstar and Freestar my parents drove when we were young adults! Good times. Whenever I think about 90's and early 00's Fords I recall going to Terrebonne from Mascouche on the Montée Masson road in Quebec. I've looked the place up recently and it grew so darn much, I don't recognize it! 😊

32GB RAM 💪 but 4GB VRAM 🤣 Just enough VRAM to run the game. Laptop only goes at 50-55 Celsius after the upgrade it had this month.

(Edit reason: I had the souvenir route confused between the roads.)

Just had a testing race at Indy NASCAR; a collision on turn 4 lap 1 that caused a spin and almost put me into the pit lane, put me down in 10th with a 12s deficit but I got the hammer down and turned it around to take the lead on lap 22 with a 4s win.

Started with a S / 4907 on Friday. Trying like hell to get to 5000. I’m really liking the Forza Touring Car series. I wish they would bring back longer races though. No pit required while running soft tires makes it too easy. I used to win a lot of races in this series due to pit strategy.

On what planet is a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N a prize for winning races? All of that tuning, strategy, and racing against the system on the highest difficulty and all I got back was an EV.

Side note: I absolutely LOVE the Ginetta, and can't wait to see it's lesser known Italian based cousin the Ginola in action.

How do you manage it when there are so many online players who drive like kamikazes?

In the Forza TC lobby, I don’t encounter a whole lot of dirty racers tbh. I typically qualify towards the top, so maybe that’s why?

Got a mate with one of these and it's an absolute rocketship in a straight line, like compress-your-lungs fast, and does some really silly stuff with engine sound modes like faux jet engines that switch to afterburner past a certain speed at full throttle etc. It's entertaining and certainly a unique experience, though with all that weight it surely must be a tyre killer on a track.

Ran a quick race in the BRZ spec series on my lunch break, love this series, also did a race in it last night, and it was brilliant, top 4 finished within 2s, and we had multiple changes for the lead over the race. Helps that we're all pretty much running the same tune, with just tire pressure options available, so it's purely skill based.

Yesterday I found a reasonably driveable tune for the Cadillac V Series R. That's the first time I've driven the car since the game was introduced because it was so horrible. I test drove it at first yesterday to confirm it still sucked, which it did, then got the tune and drove a couple of races with it. It's still not a good to me as the BMW is straight out of the box or even the Porsche is but at least now I can start building points with it.

I tried adjusting the FFB for better feeling while trying to drift. Then I realize I misplaced where I wrote my ideal setting down at. Instead of attempting to recreate what I had, I decided to tune the FFB for tire feel. After some back and forth with the Acura DPi at the Nordschleife, I got a good idea of what the tire limit should feel like.

Then I loaded up an Acura NSX that I had built for A-Class and ran it in the Career open events. Sebring turned out to be the perfect place to dial the FFB in. For the first time, I can feel the seams on the concrete pads as I drive down the track. After some tuning adjustments to the NSX, I was finally happy with how everything felt. It may not be the most realistic, and I am back to not being able to take my hands off the wheel on a straight but, I can no longer say the FFB is boring. Plus I almost know exactly what the front tires are doing.

The first time I felt the weight of the FFB increase under braking; I knew, I was on to something. I still have more work to do, but I don't think I can go back to a light and fairly uncommunicative FFB setup again.

Well, you don't need to win, all you have to do is to punch the clock. Of course, that doesn't make it better - if anything, the fact that there's no challenge involved only makes the FOMO more tedious!

Actually, I think the Ginola would be the its French cousin...

Finally got around to doing the Luxury + Performance series yesterday, and ended up choosing the Lexus LC500, despite struggling to choose between it, the blackwing and the XFR. I'm glad I did, because after the first race at Laguna Seca, I figured out a decent handling setup for it, tending to mild oversteer, and it was a peach to drive. I did the weight reduction, all the handling, drivetrain & braking mods, and put racing tyres on it, and left the power alone.

Then I noticed for the final race the performance points had gone up to 750 so I added the exhaust, intake and inlet manifold and wow, it sounds fantastic in that configuration. In fact it might be one of my favourite sounding cars in the game.

Would you mind sharing your settings please? Are they for a DD base or gears?
