Conman_Skills
We got a solid group goin at the moment. its my lounge so send friend request if not already added to my list.

I'll be on within 45 minutes. Friend request coming in a bit.

Thanks!

Sorry guys, cashing out early tonight. I feel like I never really got warmed up/in the groove. I was so tired from staying up with T/A, Choate, Stig, Spec, JPE, and friends yesterday...

I'm going to get like 10 hours of sleep tonight, and start at it hard tomorrow after work.

A few of the guys on earlier bailed for St. Patty's Day, so I opened up my lounge. There is a few of us in here, so if you want to get in stop by or shoot me a friend request. 👍

I'm going to be practicing tonight. Thanks Egg!!!!

No worries 👍 I sent you the car after you logged off tonight, had to wait until it would let me send another car.

List updated:

I'm hoping someone will be hosting lounges like this after Orlando? I'll be back on decent internet then, and the close racing in these lobbies is GT5's main redeeming quality for me.

Well there's no before or after Orlando for me, this type of racing is what GT5 is all about for me :gtpflag:
I certainly hope see these rooms continue!

Since there's no orlando for me I know I'll be holding them :) Although I'll probably reopen the true stigs lounge (not that crap from the other night) for a couple days after ya'll get back from orlando.

I tried joining earlier this week, but I'm at home on awful internet and it didn't work. It looks like I'll have to play single player to practice the tracks from here on out.

See you guys in Orlando 👍

Rest Assured, I'll be hosting lounges like this at least until next March 👍:)

Cool. I still need to talk to you about your experience with the DFGT vs G27 and what you think about it. It's that or a Thrustmaster for me for next "Season."

Nick

No problem, although based on how I've been running I might just let my driving do the talking for you :D It's that big a difference.

well now I feel like the only one around here who drives a ****box. :/

Everyone starts somewhere man. :)

My first car was an 85 camry. Then a 94 Hyundai Elantra, then a 94 Hyundai S-coupe. Then a VW Golf 2.0 8v GTI. Then a 1990 Talon Turbo. Then the s2000.

You see a clear progression in peformance, and wallet. :) I'm sure you'll do the same.

That's fantastic news.

Care to do a brief writeup? Or maybe we can talk online about it?

Psh You're ASKING me to talk? :dopey: When have I ever not talked prolifically about stuff I own :D
We can chat this weekend for sure, but we can get together for a thorough break down while the guys are in orlando :D

Heh, my full car list is:
'80 Buick park ave 5.7L -> '86 cavalier 2L -> '94 cavalier RS 3.1L -> '00 Focus zx3 2L

Actually surprised the focus is still running after putting up with me for 7 years and 110,000 miles. Easily the best ****box I've owned.

I'm at a BBQ and taking the night off of practice.....but my B Spec boys are earning a little cabbage for me. I'm already bummed about not being able to battle tonight but I've got to get some wife time in before next week.

See you guys on track tomorrow night.

Cheers!

It's been alot of fun practicing with all of you, I love the quality of driving you all show on a regular basis. I have really been struggling the last few nights (since switching from a G27 to a DFGT, I should have done it way sooner)..I have three nights to really pick up my game, or I am going to struggle in Orlando..
Just for the record, here is my ride...

Oh man don't say that. I have a G25 wheel and was worried a bit about using DFGT. Oh well, it was in the rules from the beginning. I love my G25.

I'll stop by an a hour or two blindside. Sorry I packed up early yesterday...I think I needed a day off from racing really

Anyway, catch you in a few

I'm looking forward to hopping in the rig as soon as my little boy goes to bed. I'll be on around 7:00 eastern, hopefully a couple of you are still running!

Cheers!

We had some great racing this morning - I'm taking a couple hour break to...stand.

I'll probably open up for about 3 more hours this weekend.

I have picked the 10 tracks that GT Academy likes best - from what I've seen in 2010 national finals, and from what we've seen in previous TT rounds. We are running 4 cars:
1) stock 370z with comfort soft tires, 331hp (you may need an oil change, and then use the power limiter to hit this mark)
2) tuned 370z gt-academy version with sports mediums tires, 382hp (you will need an oil change) If you can't steal one in time, the g37 is similar in performance with sports hards
3) gt-r spec v with comfort softs, 478hp (gt-academy version or buy it from Nissan)
4) Xanavi gt-r '08 with racing hard tires, 505hp, default setup ($950k from Nissan dealership...not the same as the '06 xanavi Z) if you don't have it, run another gt500 car with ~600 performance points

Try to make sure you are all set with the cars because we've been quickly switching between the track/car combos and running 5 lap races at each sans qualifier to keep things rolling. It might seem kind of anal, but we got in 15 races today already - that's a ton of track time.

Sorry I missed the invite from earlier Conman, don't have my notifications turned on. I'd love to join but feel I'd get burned out running race after race. Sounds like it's ton of fun though! :)

You hopping back on tonight Blindside?

Yes, but not for another hour or so - I just grabbed a quick workout and went...:scared:...outside...for a bit.

The wife gets the TV for a bit, and then she's going out with some friends so I'll open it back up.

EDIT - we have 9 ridiculous drivers running in this room right now. If you aren't here, you are missing out.
