It's facelift time for the Ford Focus: The update brings a new face, powertrain configurations (mild-hybrid engines can now be specced with the 7-speed DCT) and new infotainment system featuring OTA updates:

Wish designers would drop the Jonah Hex corner openings, in front bumpers.

I can appreciate the simplicity of the center stack. If you’re going to sit a tablet on the dash, just sit it on the dash like above. Subaru, take note.

Wait, they're dropping it towards EVs? What, they can't make an EV Focus? or they just don't see a market in Europe for the Focus either, even as an EV?

Dropping it for Kuga-sized EVs (Kuga is really a Focus SUV). Article states the Focus, in Europe, dropped out of the top 10 selling cars last year, yet the Puma and Kuga were 2nd and 7th. It's the direction the market is heading. For better or worse. SUV-proportioned cars are ideal for having the battery under the passenger compartment, hence why most new EVs are looking that way.

Well, that's something else I didn't know, having an easier time storing batteries. I just thought the SUV market was due to mostly what most normal people wanting one.

So yeah, that confirms it in my head, outside of sports cars, there's gonna be no new cars I'm gonna be interested in having in the future. Kinda a shame, but I have long accepted that I'm in the minority of the market. I hate it, but that's the world I live in.
